maybe for the same reason the republicans are saying 'no big deal' to moral issues now?
and it's a -stupid- idea that is not doable and would never work even if it could be done...
but worst of all it is the trojan horse by which big government liberalism finally conquered the republican party... for this reason alone i will no longer vote for -any- candidate who calls for 'securing the border' because politicians who continue to say such things still don't understand what has happened or how they aided and abetted it...

Great sounding words. But, you missed your chance. All America (you and me, included) allowed these two to become the only choices we have. We can't cry over spilt milk and say "shudda" and "wudda." We now have to do nothing but make a choice between TWO candidates... the ONLY candidates really running.

Yes, it is amazing that they have turned the Republican party into a left wing party favoring federal aggrandizement...I reckon nobody has been asking Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California about their take on this wall...Clinton didn't, but I would not be expecting a person like her asking the states either. They are pretty alike those two...lol

the republican party once stood for limited government...at least on paper...
but now thanks to trump and his supporters making much of the republican primary about illegal immigration...the republican party has abandoned any pretense of standing for limited government principles... now the republicans stand for big government building a wall...big government trade tariffs...big government deportation forces...everything that has come about in the republican party due to the illegal immigration issue has furthered the cause of expanding the scope and power of government...
remember when the nine most terrifying words ever spoken were 'i'm from the government and i'm here to help? now those are the words the republican party is demanding to hear...
all of this change has been due to a republican obsession with illegal immigration and 'securing the border'...it was a trojan horse issue...
and i for one will not vote for any candidate still intent on welcoming the trojan horse of 'securing the border' into the city...it is due to politicians like them that the republican party has sacrificed itself to the baal of big government on the altar of 'border security'...
