I'm kind of proud of myself. I don't like clothes shopping. I have a hard time finding pants that aren't to long. I still wear a lot of the same shirts I wore when I was at my heaviest. I am very self conscious about my appearance. I try not to be, it's very hard. I hide under clothes. Well I was talking to a friend and told her I need clothes that you know fit. I bought some shorts that's easy, but I usually buy everything to big. I hate trying stuff on. She asked if I've gone and tried regular not plus sizes on yet? Uh no I'm afraid, very afraid. She encouraged me just to go and see and just try. So today I went to the mall and actually tried on pants that fit! And a shirt too. So I bought a pair of ankle length strait leg pants and a pair of regular straight leg black pants. I know this seems like nothing, but this is a huge step for me. Clothes that aren't huge look nice.

Speaking of clothes, and wearing things that are too big for you... I haven't spent more than a few hours in anything that isn't pajama-like, for over a year! Maybe two. I can't stand the constricting feel of jeans anymore. I think I need to get back in the habit of wearing real, nice clothes. I've been too long without real clothes, that I don't like them. I look like a bum half the time. It's a good thing my kids don't care, lol. The husband is never home to notice, so he doesn't care either. I care though; I think it would be nice to start taking care of myself for reals again.

Would appreciate prayers for my cousin's 3 year old daughter. She's having open brain surgery today (probably about now, actually) for a tumor/some blood vessels that could break and cause bleeding on the brain.

What a huge surgery for such a wee one. Prayers have been said for the whole family.

fenner, i understand the struggle. i'm still figuring out what my size is. yesterday, i tried on 2 different sizes for shorts. one size fit a little too big. the other fit just right, but i don't like the feeling! lol. i need a size between those 2 sizes! lol

I gained so much weight after I had my kid's and when I broke my ankle. When I was home with them I ate, then when I was home during the ankle break I ate. That's how I deal with stress, I eat. I hid everything under scrubs that Inused to wear at my old job, those are like Pajamas. Then like you I started hating jeans. I would buy large t shirts and comfy loose yoga pants. I also don't like to spend a lot of money on clothes, I try find discount racks and thrift stores. I would love to go without a budget and just buy what I want. It does feel good to look nice and not feel like I look sickly or lazy. Lazy is also nice but it's good to feel pretty too.

I've been here on CC for about...8 months, at the end of this month. I've just discovered that little button at the top of private messages that says "reply to private message"...normally I just write in the box below. I had no idea that button existed.

Sometimes...I'm just so clueless.

What else am I missing out on?

I'm not sure what most of them do. Maybe I should try them. I tried to upload a pic onto cc from another site and couldn't figure it out. People do it all the time. I have to call my kids for that stuff. Super hard!

I actually tried to upload an attachment once, but I think it didn't work out because I had to drag and drop, or something. Which I can't do, because I'm always on phone. :/ No attachments for me.

I haven't felt the need to put up links before, so I don't even know how to do it. In some forums all you have to do is copy the link and paste it between http://christianchat.com/christian-..... and the *. I haven't tried it here though.

To embed a pic in a post:

1) Click on where u want the pic to be in your reply window (just like if u were gonna type something)
2) Copy the image's address/url (and it has to end in either .jpg, .png or .gif)
3) Click on the picture icon/symbol shown in at the top of the post window (second row down, next to the globes)
4) Paste the image's url into the window that pops up.
5) Click "ok" in that popup window. That's it!

Second of all, this silly white girl (I'm not denying or refuting this claim, it's a little bit true at times) is packed full of soul. You should hear me sing, or when my kids get in trouble. The sass...oh the sass.
