Are you sure? Because as a humanist here are some of my values:

1. Do not look on another person with lust, for we are people, not objects.

2. Do not divorce your spouse except on grounds of unfaithfulness.

3. Let "yes" or "no" be sufficient to affirm or deny something

4. Do not resist evil.

5. When compelled to make a plaintiff whole in a civil suit, make more than full restitution.

6. When pressed into labor, do twice the work that is compelled.

7. Do not turn away anyone who asks to borrow.

8. Love your enemies, for they are like the shadow that you yourself cast.

9. Do not make a public display of piety.

10. Do not judge another, for you have not lived as they, so you cannot see the world as they.

All good things for sure...but they don't make one righteous in God's eyes. We will stand before God in either our own righteousness or in His free gift of righteousness. His righteousness is the only one that will stand the test.

If you are not a Christian and you don't have the Holy Spirit within you - then this might just be foolishness to you.

But the Holy Spirit may use it to show you a better way of life - which is only found in Christ Himself - NOT the religion of Christianity - that's an enemy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Doing righteous deeds by themselves does not make one righteous. This is having the cart before the horse.

I know there have been "good" people doing "righteous deeds " but they were not belonging to God. Many religions have moral living people in them - all doing "righteous deeds".

Here is how righteousness is manifested to a believer....we need to be righteousness conscious...not sin-conscious...we have a new creation in Christ now!

This "righteousness " that we already have now in our new creation ( the inner man ) is because we are in Christ - will manifest outwardly in doing righteous deeds - but we need the "horse" in front first.

The "horse" being Christ's righteousness in us because of our being in Christ in our inner man..our new creation in Christ.

Awake to who you are in Christ!..Awake to righteousness and sin not..when you see who you are in Him in your new man..you become like Him outwardly.

He is talking to the one that was saying to you "I hope you like it hot". We apologize to you for this kind of behavior from the poster that eph610 was directing his comments to.

The Lord loves you deeply and He is not mad at you at all. In His mind you are reconciled to Him because of His great love for you. He will one day warp His arms around you and show you His love for you and that you are very precious to Him.

Again please accept our apologies for the bad behavior of some of us towards you. We love you and think you are precious too just like the Lord does.

We also do "fall from grace" - which means "to drop away" because we are depending on the law for righteousness ( the law is anything we do to justify ourselves )

You have been severed from Christ means that we are not receiving what Christ's grace provides because of our own self-effort in trying to obtain things.

These people are still saved and going to heaven - just that grace for living the true Christian live while on this earth does not "work" for them because they are trusting in their own works.

I have absolutely no problem with anyone who challenges my posts or interpretation of scripture or theology or anything else like that. It's when they say something like "Talishi is here playing games" or the like that I have to draw the line. BDF not about me, it's about the scriptures, do you see? I have to be a little hardcore on that point. Believe me, the forum will be better for it, I've been doing this sort of thing since 1996 and I was once on your team. Quite the apologist, if you can imagine.

The Jews didn't believe in a "hell" until they were conquered by Alexander and he brought in tales of a place called Tarturus. Everywhere you see the word "hell" in the OT, it refers to Sheol, which is simply the grave. Everyone goes there.
