A lot of talk about things, places, etc. here - but what I look forward to are the people I knew who have gone before me. My family - even a baby I lost. I also look forward to seeing many people who were somehow inspired by me and I've never even met them. Maybe they read a Christian devotional book that the Lord had me write many years ago. Maybe they heard me in a talk I gave at a retreat.

Somehow it is the people (even the biblical people) that make things like "games" seem somehow so shallow. Sorry.
But think of something that you said to someone that brought them closer to the reality of Christ - and they in turn shared that with someone else who shared it with another. Like a domino effect. I think we will be totally surprised.

And we will then know all the prayers that people prayed for us that we were not even aware of. There will be a oneness with others in heaven that we have not even touched down here.

But the wonders of being with Jesus, himself, will be like something that we have never experienced yet. And will satisfy us completely.

That's my take.
I can see why you would think its shallow but games are how I bond with people. I can imagine playing a game with Jesus and it would be so much more then anything else I've played. I don't care what game, I don't care who wins or loses. I can imagine I'd lose quite a bit to a perfect man or maybe he will let me win. It doesn't really matter Just as long as were hanging out.

Just think about this. The best post, the best idea, the best thoughts about how heaven will be.........are dung compared to what it really is. Because we can't even imagine, we can't even IMAGINE what it is like. WOW.

1 Cor 2:9~~New American Standard Bible
but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."

One good thing about the new earth, and the new heaven, the New Jerusalem,is that the former earth, and heaven, will not be remembered, and not come to mind, which we will know nothing from the past, but will only know the New Jerusalem, and will feel like we have always been there, and no where else, and rebellion will never come up again.

So I suppose this answers your question, for if we do not remember anything concerning this earth, and it will not come to our mind, then we will not remember us playing video games,or anything we did on earth,so they would not be in heaven, but we will not miss them, for we will not remember them, and also their is no pain we will feel for our family, and friends, that were lost, for we will not ever know they existed, because we will not remember them.

IMO, and just my thoughts. I think we will be able to remember. We will just be without a sin nature and be able to see the whole of everything perfectly and justly.

I don't think we will be walking up the the Lord Jesus Christ and asking Him how He got those scars.

I think we need to look beyond heaven and realise we are going to live eternally in a new earth. We will be alive, in a perfect universe without sin, for eternity. I believe we will live life, we will have creative abilities and inventive all in the midst of the face of God. I'd love to travel the universe and build space stations orbiting planets lol
Of course I have no scriptural reference to any of this except we will be in a new earth. Even Jesus said. The meek will inherit the Earth. I tend to believe that is for now and future glory.

This is a silly question but I'm quite serious. I've heard that everything you like is in heaven? How true is that? I can't think of anything better than chilling out with my love Jesus and playing video games that's my personal idea of heaven. I'd like to hear ideas of your personal heaven. Like what you want to see in heaven when you go there.

If the best of our righteousness is like stinking rags then the best of what we have known on Earth will probably not even be remembered in heaven.

Dude look man, heaven is going to be the whole freakin' universe and you get to fly anywhere you want to. Like billions of planets and stuff, what you need video games for bro? Your whole eternity is a video game with super high graphics!

Study finds that violent video games may be linked to aggressive behaviour
Study finds that violent video games may be linked to aggressive behaviour | The Independent

In America, 155 million people play video games.
http://www.theesa.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/ESA-Essential-Facts-2015.pdf

On average, there are two video game players per video-game-playing home.
Eight out of 10 American homes own a device to play video games; 51 percent
of homes own a dedicated console. The biggest portion of players—30 percent
—are 18-35 years old.

In 2015, the most played game, by share of playing time, is League of Legends.
• Most played PC games 2015 | Statistic

The game is rated T for Teen but content descriptors include: blood, fantasy violence,
mild suggestive themes, use of alcohol and tobacco. It additionally warns of “online
features that may expose players to unrated user-generated content.”

Experts in Futility

By the time the average American youth turns 21, he will have spent 10,000 hours
playing video games over more than a decade.

Imagine what those 5 million Americans who spend 40 hours a week playing video games could accomplish if they instead devoted that much work to something useful. In just five years, this country would have 5 million more master designers, craftsmen, engineers, pilots, scientists, builders, artists, architects, painters, geologists, farmers, inventors, orators, poets, writers, singers, violinists, gymnasts.

Imagine how different America could be if the 183 million Americans who spend at least one hour a day
playing video games did the same thing.

And now imagine the world we might live in if all these people took just a portion of that time and spent it with their families, teaching their children how to become experts at productive pursuits. What a different, more prosperous, more inspiring, more beautiful world we would live in!

Are video games a dominating force in your home?

More than at any time in America’s history, this nation needs strong leadership. It needs masters in all the fields of arts and sciences to rejuvenate its broken economy. It needs skilled orators who inspire people in the right ways. It needs wise experts to offer counsel. It needs Galileos and Thomas Edisons. It needs Rembrandts and Edwin Hubbles. And it needs Churchills and Roosevelts.

It needs a people who can accumulate real-life accomplishments—
not take pride in fantasy world achievements.

Instead, it has a new national pastime of dubious value, and millions of under-skilled
adults, increasingly reliant on government welfare, acting like children.

to be serious i don't really think of about what i will be doing in the eternal life with God.. But if we do have video games they are going to be awesome and they will make the games we play here and now look absolutely pathetic in comparison. :D

Instead of Call of Duty it would be Call of Praise
Instead of Mortal Combat it would be Immortal Combat
Instead of Lord of the rings, it would be Lord of all kings....

but seriously we don't have time to waste in heaven over frivolous video games man, we can literally ghost through walls like Jesus did...I'd be more interested in flying around then tethered to an xbox controller or whatever....

Lol controllers are wireless now.
As much as I love playing video games, I can't go more than 1-2 hours at max, I would get bored with it here on earth, imagine in eternity playing video games....nah...too boring and too many questions for God i would like to ask and have answered.....video gaming mindlessly is not heaven nor do I want to do that....even though controllers are wireless you're still "tethered" with your eyes to a TV :p

I'm sure there will be video games in Heaven. I'd enjoy play games with Jesus as well including his disciples. However my personal heaven would be to continue to gain more wisdom from God & give him joy however possible. I always thought being part of Gods army would be cool. To learn the fighting techniques the angels use during spiritual warfare.
