The tracks are already laid so it doesn't really matter who engineers the train

Here are three basic, tried and true guidelines for the two parties....

Democrats - Spend More, Raise Taxes, Cut Defense Spending

Republicans - Spend Less, Lower Taxes, Increase Defense Spending

I did not make these up...

I've been saying for years that we have long since become ancient Rome (all we lack is an Emperor). The similarities are unmistakable and we will most definitely fall the same way.

Well, good news........I suppose........they are working on that.........Donald the First!

Except that under Billy Boy, they spent less, balanced the Budget and increased Defense Spending

and

under W, they increased spending across the board, got us into a war, and raised taxes......

guess "tried and true" are relative?

:)

Democrats see big Government as the solution. Republicans see big Government as the problem.

Except that those same Republicans see government as the exclusive solution in overseas affairs and use this myth to "justify" continued foreign interventionism and war.

Republicans increase taxes more than do Democrats. In fact it was Republican Nelson Aldrich who invented the Income Tax Amendment. Also, that same party invents what are called "fees" which are exactly the same as taxes.

As an outsider I am curios what is the difference between the two?
Republicans: common sense and order.

Democrats: irrational thought and defiance.

And these are only the secular aspects.

most democrats have a mental disorder. They like to be abused and lied too. How else can you explain voting for people over and over again who lie right to your face.....curious that the republican party and its followers have been conditioned the very same way. Two sides of the same coin.

Republicans and mental disorder - no argument from me. After all, anyone who would finance Sanger, Hitler, and the Bolsheviks belong in everyone's hall of shame.

George Washington warned us about political parties. And the bible warns us not to argue with idiots.

Washington warned against foreign entanglements. If we heeded his calls, we would not have had Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. The Bible also warns against name hate filled name calling.

[h=2]George Washington > Quotes > Quotable Quote[/h]
[h=1]“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”[/h]
