Colossians 2:8
[SUP]8 [/SUP]See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

you sir are full of false accusations aren't you, listen you got some problem with what I'm posting take it up with a mod, and by the way next time you decide to falsely accuse someone try to remember who is the accuser of the brethren...

So you aren't here trying to keep Christians from entering our true and eternal rest that Christ has made available in Himself, by insisting we must do as you and treat a day of the week, and not Christ, as our Sabbath rest?

Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Right. So why are you here judging the brethren in that respect?

I take my Sabbath seriously, each day I find time to rest in the word and presence of God. As I digest my daily activities I try to draw no conclusions to its end. I've learned that from the master himself. As his thoughts toward me are New each and everyday, each day is brand new to me. There is no calender day, week, month, year, for me to remember the Lord , each day he gives me God willing I remember him for it.

You need to understand Yonah we are under Grace today. The Law was for those in the Old Testament times. But since the Law has been fulfilled by Jesus on the Cross, we have no need to keep all the Laws like you teach.

Galatians 3:23-25
[SUP]23 [/SUP]But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. [SUP]24 [/SUP]Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. [SUP]25 [/SUP]But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

We are no longer under a tutor, the Law. Because we now have Grace and Faith we are no longer under the Law. Therefore we can keep the Sabbath on Sunday.

I can only assume you didn't get it so I will repeat: please show me where I have insisted that anyone do anything.
and while your at it explain how anyone could do as you described....

your failure to address my direct question shows a lack of substance to your accusation, so you see fit to add yet another... wow

I have always found you to be positive in your responses and posts, this is no different however, just because I choose to observe a day he choose doesn't mean I need to remember Him, the command stated remember the DAY, anyway I'm confused as to why so many here think that just because one observes the 7th day Sabbath they somehow are no longer worshipping the Savior everyday. or are trying to convince or convert others , I mean many views are shared on this forum, some edifying , some strange , but it seems that accusations of many types come forth when one starts a post on the Sabbath, I dont get why its hated so much here, I mean is it really a threat to ones belief just because one differs in this area they are looked upon as in a cult , or judaisers or some other thing... you seem to be reasonable so I'm ask you, I have never seen you accuse and I would really like to know your thought on this... thank you :)

this post is on the Sabbath... and I ask you sincerely please show where I have taught one must keep all the laws. there is no need to feel threatened please read the op agin my purpose was to try to understand why there is so much hatred concerning this. I'm not trying to convert anyone and not once EVER have I stated that all should do as I choose to, my walk is not yours and vise versa my intent is not to teach anything but to ask why... and all I have gotten is attacks and false accusations... WHY?

see? this is part of the problem many quote text out of context to fit their agenda... you do understand the proper context of this scripture don't you? have you walked into a city and preached the good news and was refused?

see this is a classic example of twistianity.... its really sad.

You have walked into this city to preach your word. The people who you are preaching to do not accept it. One who knows the truth of the Gospel, would shake the dust from his feet and depart the city. You are still in the city. What does this tell the observer of your sermon?

Yonah, first and foremost thank you for the kind remarks and let it be known its Christ not me. Now to answer your question.
I talk to deciple Mike on the matters of observing the law and feast days and observing Sabbath. As I said to him I cannot condone or condemn how you worship that's the holy spirits job. But I must warn you that by doing so you walk a razors edge. I'm sure you must realize it does not add or complete your salvation but it does limit your liberties that our savior died to give you. Being born again is the new creature in Christ the old has passed away. Worship and honor the Lord as you see fit but make no mistake if I do see any of the law observers here teaching it is needed for salvation or for favor, or that it is required in any form you may have a second opinion about me.
The bottom line is our savior died to set us free why would you want to walk that razors edge?

so I see you equate a command from the creator of the universe as nothing more then a whim... this is truly sad , no wonder the Savior ask: when I return will I find Faith on the earth. :(

not a whim, just going by what the Bible says.

does the Bible say that the Sabbath corresponds to the Saturday of the Roman calendar? possibly, I can't find it.

so now when someone post in this forum its a sermon??? or is that only when it serves your purpose to say so?

theres no need to worry bro. I would be right there with you as well, and the Liberty ive been given in Messiah is that I'm free from sin and its penalty, not free to commit it or live in it, this text seems to express it well, and I ask you to keep in mind this text was written after the Savior returned to heaven 1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

I just wanted to add you need not threaten me young man, you've got some kind of issue with my post deal with it as you see fit but I will not tolerate threats got it?

I know.....great point!...

The supposed "real" Sabbath that they "think" they are doing is all based on wherever they are geographically. So, in effect they are NOT keeping the Jewish Sabbath as outlined in the Law of Moses unless of course they are in the time zone of Jerusalem.

Ok, I typed an answer and deleted the answer and now I have nothing because there is no polite answer on this way of thinking.

Blah, blah, blah. You want somebody to agree with you? Go to synagogue.

Will we find you there or are you going to be under the grace of your pastor?

There was always action at the synagogue... especially if you found Yeshua there teaching His followers :)

Let's see if we have this right, by what you are saying:
Thou shalt not murder. (good idea)
Thou shalt not commit adultery. (good idea)
Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy. (passed away???)

We must remember that 1) those who demand we keep Saturday as the Sabbath is because of their Pride. 2) They cannot see we are under Grace today. They are here trying to 3) put us back under their Laws, thinking its by keeping the Law is how they receive Salvation.

4) They worship the Law more than they Worship Jesus!

1) God told us to keep the Sabbath not men.
2) Humankind was always under Grace and it is not a new concept.
3) I haven't came across anybody on CC telling me to keep the law for my salvation?
4) I found this hard to believe. Being obedient to Jesus is not worshiping the law.

No His eternal rest will never pass away.(its not a day to be proud of , its a rest )That rest which was secured on the 7th day.It will not be consummated fully until we receive our new incorruptible body . The Son of man that the shadows spoke of came and demonstrated he was the lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world .The six day he did work. But like all cerimoinal laws (not moral laws) they do nothing to make our conscience perfect .they did not prove a person was close to God but were required to announce the gospel in advance as all the ceremonial laws were assigned to do.

The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not "yet made manifest", while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:Which was a figure (parable) for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them "until the time of reformation". But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;Heb 9:8

Parables that take the temporal things seen provide shadows to revel the unseen, eternal .

2Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
