What can they possibly be eating there that they can't get on the ground?

From what I read they do this for the rock mineral deposits Salt etc. mountain goats will do it on natural cliff faces as well crazy goats lol.

Bear Grylls did an episode like this where he had to hunt one down in Northern England (I could be wrong but the rocky/uninhabited side of GB)......and there were goats like this and some of them actually fell to their death b/c of sliding on such loose rocks/pebbles on the sides of these massive cliffs.....very hard/wet elements there and survival is brutal in the rocks/mountains and then valleys filled with bogs/swamps......it's a nasty place to try to live....from the looks of it on TV.

Thanks, BET. This OP led me to some really nice vids of wild goats and baby goats as well. And Bible verses on the mountain goats:
Job 39.1, Psa. 104.18, and Prov. 5.18, 19 where the wife is described as "a lovable hind and a charming mountain goat."
