Timothy didn't have any New Testament Scriptures when he was a child, not even Paul's letters. get real.

Of course he would have. When Paul met him he was a youth. What does "youth" mean?

Loads here, and it's still going. Gone through two lots of popcorn and one candy floss, game point now LOL. But seriously guys, the op didn't start out with insults, he may have reacted to a few. Either way insults have been given and it does make me feel sad because some have picked up on phrases and turned them into untruths and slandered the op.

As soon as osas is challenged it is like a lump of facies is thrown down and the flies come a buzzing to protect their own. Jesus is strong enough to protect what is His without people reverting to insults. And when insults are thrown what then? That's why I made the tennis quip, back and forth, back and forth, I need the popcorn. And just in case anyone thinks I am getting at them, I am! Where is the fruit of the Spirit guys? Where is love and compassion? Where is turning the other cheek?

I am not getting into this argument because we should not be arguing like this. The op made a good point through scripture and not many have tried to answer him with scripture and those who have have not taken into account what they used properly. There is a tense within the written word, past present and future. All things to God are. All things to us are not, we are not God, we have to live day by day, I fall big time and I am grateful I have an intercessor with God who pleads (not pleaded) for me. If it were all done before why would I need one? On a scriptural level no one has answered this but several have mentioned it to try and prove osas. This makes no sense Spiritually or with the mind.

I am fed up with all this nonsense, some of you should know better, others don't have a clue. And those who should know better edge the others on. Jesus is coming back, soon. Just revealing the facts my friend. We need the Old Testament - in it the revelation of Christ is hidden to us but it is revealed in the New Testament.

I love to read how Christ is manifested in the Old Testament in His many forms ....from the meeting with Abraham to the law of Moses.

It is in Paul's epistles where the revelation of what happened from the cross to the throne is revealed and that includes what happened to us too because we are one with Him and we are in Christ now.

( Spoiler Alert: this is why we are dead to the Law, not under the Law and have been released from the Law SO THAT we could be joined to Another - Christ Himself. )

Christ is everything! There is no greater revelation than knowing Him.

The people that believe that a person cannot lose salvation after they are saved,will ignore a lot of scriptures concerning the scriptures that are against that.

They use grace to take away the responsibility of the believer that they have to give up all sin,and not sin anymore,even believing that sin does not affect their relationship with God,and that is because they know a person has the ability to sin after conversion,and that many that claim once saved always saved have sinned,as have been witnessed by the naked eyes of people,and they want to believe that while they walk with Christ that there is no way to lose their relationship with Him,and not be right with God,so because of the sin that many of them do,they say sin does not affect their relationship with Christ.

If a person lives in sin they will not give up,then the blood of Christ does not take it away,and they will receive worse punishment than those in the Old Testament,so sin does affect their relationship with Christ.

Also we have to love,but the Bible says love thinks no evil thought,and love does not sin,so to not give up sin,means they do not love,so they will have to say that if we do not love,it does not affect our relationship with Christ.

If we have to repent of our sins,now wanting to sin anymore,before we can have a relationship with Jesus,then we have to have the same lifestyle all the while loving for Christ,for that is what God is against,our sins,and to get rid of them,and not do them anymore by the Spirit,and God said in the Old Testament that it is their sins that separates them from God.

Jesus is the mediator between God and men,but His sinless lifestyle is not applied to our life,and when He connects us to God,then the responsibility is on us to not want sin in our life,and stay that way,and His righteousness of being right with God applies to us if we allow the Spirit to lead us,but when we sin the Spirit is not leading us,so the righteousness of Christ is not in our life as long as there is sin in our life.

There are many people that believe once saved always saved,that live worldly and think nothing is amiss,but sin does affect their relationship with Christ,and the fact that we have the capacity to sin after we are saved if we desire,shows we have a choice in the matter to keep right,for if we did not have a choice,we would not have the possibility to sin after we are saved.

But what it means is we have to allow the Spirit to lead us,and abstain from sin,for sin does affect our relationship with God,and we have a choice in the matter after we are saved,for we have to take the responsibility to represent goodness,and righteousness,and to not want any sin in our life,before the Spirit will lead us,not say,sin does not affect our relationship with God,and we are only human and cannot abstain from sin.

Forgiveness is a done deal - either believe it or don't believe it.

On the subject of forgiveness that we have in Christ now because of His precious Blood...here is what the scriptures say.....sometimes the truth in the gospel of the grace of Christ "conflicts" with what we have been religiously taught.

1 John 2:12 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name's sake.

have been forgiven = perfect passive

perfect = The perfect tense in Greek is used to describe a completed past action which produced results which are still in effect all the way up to the present time. It is continuously happening in the present.

passive = voice = action is happening to you....you are not doing it

Without a doubt this verse says that the sins are forgiven from a past action that remains in a continuous completed state and that was put on them....not something they did.

Ephesians 1:7 (KJV)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

We have redemption = present continuous action...so this means we have present continuous forgiveness of our sins...

and look...that grace stuff shows up again!...it's all according to the riches of our loving Father's grace that He has given to us in Christ our Lord.

Colossians 1:13-14 (NASB)

They died and had to be replaced by younger priests. Jesus will never die. He can't be replaced. He is and always will be our Great God and Savior for all time. He lives after the power of an endless life.

And He will always and forever have the scars on His hands and feet and side to prove that truth. He didn't have to do that because He is God and what He says is enough. But for reasons known only to the Godhead He will carry those scars forever.

Those marks are a testimony and remembrance of what He has done for us. That is why we go to communion and should receive communion often together as it will help bring to remembrance the amazing gift of His salvation to us. And the thankfulness and worship we give Him at those times!!!! He told us to drink of the cup and eat of the bread and do it in "remembrance of Me" We do it in JOY and amazement of His love for us. We truly have a great salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ. I say let's believe in what He has done for us in His perfect work and walk free. Universalism has nothing to do with the belief that our future sins are forgiven by the Atoning Blood of Jesus.. Universalism is the belief that all humans irrespective of their religious beliefs shall be forgiven their sins and be saved, Universalism is a deception and clearly against scriptures..

OSAS is the calvinist originated doctrine and oddly enough many calvinist churches lean towards the Works salvation doctrine.. OSAS again has nothing to do with the Belief that ones future sins are forgiven by the Atoning Blood of Jesus..

If a person believes that their future sins are not covered by the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ then Woe to them because the next sin they sin shall not have forgiveness because they have disbelieved that the Atonement of Jesus covers their future sins and have preached it to others in a public forum...

It's so interesting you mentioned "Calvinist" I was a 5 point Calvinist and always scared stiff that God was going to punish me. There was little knowledge of the love/grace of God in Christ. We would NEVER EVER have believed our future sins were forgiven! We were taught to always be conscience of our sins and how they have separated us from God. We were not taught to be Christ conscience but instead to be always aware and thoughtful about our sins and how many we had and have and will have.

There was no freedom in Calvinism. It was a continual fear based understanding of work hard and gain much. Work little and gain nothing. We thought about ourselves more than we thought of Jesus. When we thought of Jesus it was with sadness and fear of how we had disappointed Him after all He had done for us. So sad to say we tried not to think much about Jesus because it only brought us condemnation.

See how the enemy works to use condemnation to keep us from Jesus?! When you know you are loved and forgiven at all times you come to Him and receive grace and help in time of need. You receive fresh revelation and renewed hope in the knowledge of His love for you and this enables you to move forward in confidence to do what He wants you to do because His heart is yours. And He gives you the desires of your heart. It is an amazing and wonderful walk this walk of fellowship with Jesus.

None of his posts ever lift up Christ or His love or His grace for us. His posts are nothing but condemnation and slander against those that see things differently then he does.

Just click on his name and it's all right here to see what "spirit" is really driving these posts. It is NOT the Holy Spirit of God which is why our spirit inside of us recoils at his posts.

The saints have been warned about these types before and they will not be fooled. The Holy Spirit will reveal Christ to them.

Simple...to show the error of his false gospel which is not really the gospel of the grace of Christ at all. To do that I and all the others that oppose his doctrine post the scriptures that refute his condemnation and slander to the gospel of the grace of Christ and to the others in the body of Christ that he directs his slander towards.

I am avoiding interacting with him. There is a vast difference. I have two now on that designation because of their behavior. When I see repentance then I will interact with them again until then I will refrain from interacting with them but I will still post scriptures.

That is how I am implementing Romans 16:17 in this situation and I will for others that are the cusp of doing the same type of behavior.
