Very true that as humans we only know "in part"

A great post with a great spirit and attitude - You are a great brother in the Lord!

-- and with just a little help in theology it turns out great! (See the "minor" changes I made in your next to last paragraph
- the words now not in dark print! LOL!!

LOL...Yes...I saw that...God love ya'!...and good job although scripturally wrong..lol....:)...it is fun talking with you!

( I wonder if both of our personal angels assigned to watch over us are going to give us a kick in the butt for doing the exact same things? ....)

Amen, but there are certain members of a cult here who try to confuse this message by saying they are born again of God's Spirit and are "in Christ" but they also confess to daily and wilful sin. We who are truly of God's Spirit and truly have Christ in us, know this can not be so, and is also contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

So, what's the cut off point for you? If not daily, just how often can you willfully sin and still think yourself to be in compliance with this gospel of Jesus Christ you speak of??

Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. Matthew

Seems Jesus does not agree with you

I'm pretty sure Jesus agrees with Hebrews 10:26 :)

yeah but he probably agrees more with the complete though, not a single cherry picked verse...

In order to use 26, you mus tinclude 27, which is finishes the statement of 26:

[SUP]26 [/SUP]For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, [SUP]27 [/SUP]but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries.

I have bolded and underlined and enlarged the comma for you, now stop doing what you always do and cherry picking verses to support your attacks....that Jesus would never agree with

It's your interpretation that is the issue.

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Believers are children of the Light not darkness. For you to imply that believers sin willfully is in itself evil. You endeavor to lay upon others burdens you cannot bear yourself.

You guys study that part I highlighted above in blue and red without any preconceived notions and you will see those verses are talking about those who once had God's Spirit but fell away. :)

God is just. Yes, He DOES execute vengeance on His enemies.
Romans 3:5-6 (KJV)
[SUP]5 [/SUP]But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man) [SUP]6 [/SUP]God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

Psalm 58:10 (KJV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP]The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

Psalm 94:1 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Psalm 99:8 (KJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

Psalm 149:7 (KJV)
[SUP]7 [/SUP]To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

Isaiah 34:8 (KJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For it is the day of the LORD'S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

Isaiah 35:4 (KJV)
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Isaiah 47:3 (KJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.

Jeremiah 46:10 (KJV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

Jeremiah 51:6 (KJV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

Luke 21:22 (KJV)
[SUP]22 [/SUP]For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Romans 12:19 (KJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

2 Thessalonians 1:8 (KJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]In flaming fire taking vengeance (1)on them that know not God,(2) and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Hebrews 10:30 (KJV)
[SUP]30 [/SUP]For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV) [SUP]
13
[/SUP]Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [SUP]14 [/SUP]Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
I am not denying the fact that these passages are in the bible! but the same God came looking for this creature called man when he fell, The same God cloth him; The same God stoop so low as to share in creation, by taking up the form of this creature just to save him from eternal damnation!! it is this same God who says "their sins i will remember no more" etc!

So my question to you again is this; is this God a two faced God, who is both wicked (towards His enemies) and good (towards His own) At the same time?
if You see God that way, where then is the difference between Allah, Buddha etc and the God of the Christians?
Or is God just like these gods, who only love those that love him and hate them that hate him?

Hebrews 10:26 - for if we keep on sinning willfully (this is a present tense = ongoing action)

The text does not give a number of times - it points to the attitude and approach we take to sin.

For the believer God forgives all our sins and he does not just count to 490 and then stop forgiving.

The point is not the number of times we sin, but our ongoing approach and pattern of life.

If everyone here would put as much effort in service for God, rather than trying to prove that he/she has the correct message of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, we could put a serious dent in the number of lost hurting people in this world.

If we take our sin(s) to Christ, He is faithful to forgive us. Unfortunately, we are too busy arguing about who is a sinner and what constitutes sin. As the old country song says, "we know we are sinning, and sinning ain't right, so me and the good lord will have a good talk later tonight."

John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

I imagine it is difficult to describe something if you do not have the ability to comprehend.

Your theology places an impossible conflict upon the word of God. Tares may look like wheat but they are not wheat.

Redeemed souls do not fall away and return to condemnation. To do so is to make the blood of Christ of no effect. It is to make the eternal finite.

- especially from those that espouse we are to walk in righteousness and purity.

This one phrase, says everything to me about heresy and denial of the words
and intention Paul writes to Timothy about.

It is Paul, Peter, Jesus who call us to walk in righteousness and purity.

Here we have a HG believer declaring this is wrong.
It summarises the spiritual conflict and obvious rebellion against the Lord.

I do not see an avenue of compromise with believers who slander, change,
distort the victory of Christ and the promise of the power of love working in
a believers heart. The enemy will always call failed believers to an empty faith
to have all the theology but without the reality of victory.

But to give ground on the holiness and purity of His people is to devalue the very
grace brought to us through the cross. These believers claim God does everything
but God cannot make them walk righteously in heavens way so they are lying about
their version of salvation and lying about what God does and how He does it.

If you want to walk their way, in their spirit and intent, you will not be walking Jesus's
way or to heaven.

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Cor 7:1

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 4:8

All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
1 John 3:3

Walking in real purity is Christs way, there is no other.

if You see God that way, where then is the difference between Allah, Buddha etc and the God of the Christians?
Or is God just like these gods, who only love those that love him and hate them that hate him?

This is a good question.

God loves His enemies but hates their behaviour and sin.
But to hate God is to hate love. And to hate love is to destroy all that is beautiful and worthy
in man and in what he does.

In eternity no one who does this can survive because they destroy themselves and everything
they touch.

Gods judgement is not so much punishment but rather containment of the fruit of sin and evil.

Imagine you caught Ebola. What is the point of allowing you to be with those not infected.
You are going to die and so will everyone who touches you. It is just spreading the destruction
no matter how much you love the individual, unless they are cured, they will destroy all they
come into contact with.

But only the pure see this, because to the impure there is nothing wrong in what they are doing,
it is merely an expression of who they are, which must be God given, or else why would they be
slaves to this.

But this lie is so deceptive, because until you are free, you believe this is the only way things can
be.

Isn't it interesting how he stops there, and never goes on to verse 39???

"But "we" do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved."

he has no doctrine without the pick and choose method and the doctrine he does have, is not Gods

anyway, his doctrine is CONDEMNATION and revolving salvation
