grab the reins first. then touch it's sides with your heels. And stay away from the "transmission", I don't think it likes you grabbing its ears

Make a kissing sound to make it go. Pull the reins to the left to make it go left, and right to make it go right. Pull back to make it go back, and jerk once and say 'woah' to make it stop.

I think that's how it goes. It's been a while.
