If lots of people are over protective of their families, how do you form a community?

This leaves room for outliers, or others who are not "over protective of their families."
If people are lonely, or think they will benefit from joining another person or group, then some, at the very least, will try.
This is how communities are formed: find a common goal to fulfill a need (or want).

The community as God intends it includes Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Goodness, Kindness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control. Of course, these are born of the Spirit of God. If people are mocking God and continue to sin, then God allows the consequence of sin to reign in a community. For whatever reason, He allows good to the wicked and harm to the faithful.
But a righteous community is grown by God, not the mere effort of humans.

So you see, you are my mother, brother or sister.

if we say we are a communion of believers in CHRIST then yes we are supposed to love one another,confess our sins to one another, pray for one another and restore and strengthen one another

family is accustomed to who we are and since they know us they can't always recognize or see in us any other change than what they have known.

We are to pray for our families and we are not to become embittered

its that even in THE BODY we see that we really don't always have fellowship

please read the serenity prayer
and you are responsible to bring all your works into the LIGHT to discern what is wrought in GOD from what isn't. And cast off those works of darkness and cling all the more to HIM

Because no....my own family didn't understand and well meaning friends offered "help" that showed they didn't even understand and o felt that there was no one to go to

until i understood that HE doesn't leave us but we are to wait and trust by faith and keep walking by that same natured and steadfast faith directed in and on HIM in all seasons

Reating in HIS SOVEREIGNTY in all things and trusting in the GOOD PROMISES of GOD which are found most visibly and clearly innHUS SON

caring for and concern for one another

How can I share and lighten the burden

pray still and never ever cease from praying for one another but do what you are capable and responsible to do and leave what you can't do and are not capable of doing to HIS SOVEREIGN AND GOOD CONTROL and pray while you wait for HIM to turn the darkness into light

trusting that HE will do it!
