Like others have said it depends what the issue is and also if I'm alone or trying to save face.

Oh, I know Mark Hamill isn't gay. He's one of the few Hollywood people with a good, long-lasting marriage. I was talking about some other actor...
*cough* Richard Chamberlain *cough*
But that meme really did a good job of showing what I felt.
Oh yeah agreed loli'm old, so the *cough* guy was sad for me.![]()

yes, i dont think anyone enjoys crying at all-). i didnt use to cry esp in my early marriage yrs. During the last 2 or so, however, i found myself needing to be by myself more often though, for i dont remember crying in another's shoulder at all. it was always alone in a room, then suddenly wiping away the tears or blowing the nose when someone comes in! or just leaving so ppl dont know i cried.I agree wiith Charlie. I don't cry very often, but when I do....I really cry. Lol.
As a kid I was taught never to cry and for a long time I didn't let myself. I really don't enjoy crying but it really I better in some instances to just let it go and go on
When i mentioned to eye doc once that i could not cry (or no tears that was, for some time), he said to watch telenovellas..-) but i didnt care to. He gave some eye drops for dry eyes, but i doubt watching would have helped.. eyes may just have hurt more, i wonder.Depends on why I am crying. If it's because I am watching a movie it's just some silent, mostly expressionless tears. Fortunately I don't often cry at movies.
If it's because of something of actual significance, then I'm unusually off by myself trying to be quiet and expressionless. The expressionless don't usually happen, though.

Sure going expressionless would be hard to maintain.
I enjoy a good cry after a particularly sad song about Jesus or an uplifting testimony. I most definitely prefer not to be seen thoughyes, i dont think anyone enjoys crying at all-). i didnt use to cry esp in my early marriage yrs. crying when so overwhelmed or finding something too funny is different however. but that is quite rare.
Although it doesn't work on many occasions as evidenced by my lashing out and my smug and smart-alec replies in some situations, I do actually try very hard to keep a tight grip on my emotions. I heard too often growing up "don't cry you pussy", from "friends" and even from my own parents, so I took that to mean that I shouldn't express emotions. By and large, I don't, or at least not in front of other people, and if something saddens me or makes me upset, the only response a person is likely to get out of me is anger to get them away from me. I'll deal with my sadness in solitude. I'd much rather people in this world dislike me so much they leave me alone entirely than to ever risk openly talking about what bothers me and appearing to be an actual human being.
I wake up some nights with a wet pillow from crying in my sleep, but I never have any memory of what I was crying about. Probably something I sequestered away in my subconscious.
why that is so.I don't cry over soppy things like most women do.... But underneath that Tempremental and fiery red hair and personality of mine is a very sensitive and emotional
heart....I Try to save my tears, but once I start crying.......Waaaaahhh lol
But I would rather die than be caught crying....I find Crying in front of anyone highly... Embarrassing :/
does anyone have a hypothesis on why people find it embarrassing to cry in front of others?
even those closest to us? like, why are we okay with being angry and letting people see it, but not crying?
is it that grief is so deeply personal? or we don't want pity?
i think in some cultures it's considered okay to cry... is that right?
