I could understand that IF they were such.

The Christian life would be quite different if we jettison everything that's not a requirement of salvation, don't you think?
No. In living the love of Christ, somehow I get a nagging idea that maybe I shouldn't kill a guy, or take his stuff, or jump his wife, or cheat on mine, or..... etc. When Jesus said it was all summed up in "loving", I think He got it pretty close to right.

God the Son: "What are my followers doing down there on Earth today, Father?"

God the Father: "They are debating on their global network whether to baptize with, you know, water water, or just do an altar call and call it good."

If a person needs a book to tell them not to do those things, they lack basic human empathy.

Did you ever notice that none of those "Commandments" utters a word about Eternal life, The Kingdom, or Salvation? That was all stuff that Jesus came to get us back on track about.

Sorry, TAL. I know none of this seems to fit your idea of ming and just grooving in the journey, but it actually isn't much different........ except for "why" we do it.

But they do show we utterly fall short and need a Saviour.

Yes, and as such, we SHOULD know them.... but we should have never started the ritual of hanging them all over the place as something to worship.

you are absolutely correct that the Authors of the KJV Bible never admitted to being perfect, or the KJV. Any person enlightened enough to properly translate the KJV Bible, is well aware that God and His Universe is the only perfect thing that exist. However, perfection is usually in the eyes of those who try to use it to their advantage, but in the eyes of God, we are all miserable lost sinners to dumb to recognize the simplicity of all that is required to reap His blessings.
Jesus spent the three years of his earthly existence attempting to convince people of that simple fact. If we take time to contemplate the conditions in the world today, it is easy to recognize another powerful influence in world activities, but it appears Satan is not a preferred subject of conversations even in churches.
We go to bed sinners and arise as sinners and it is our lot in life thanks to our heritage from Adam and Eve. Before I go to sleep at night, I review my daily activities and there is always something I wish I had not done and to avoid having my sins pilling up, I acknowledge those things and everything in general. I take God at his word that He is faithful to forgive our confessed sins if we ask. God is always watching.

My demonstration was about rushed judgement, so it apparently did its job :) You rushed your judgement about "neo translations" so I used the same style.

Thanks for prayers!

God bless you, too.
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

Exodus 7:8 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
Exodus 7:9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent
Exodus 7:10 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
Exodus 7:11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
Exodus 7:12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Isaiah 28:10 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

1 Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

The Bible says comparing spiritual things is very important to check either word comes from man’s opinion or Holy Ghost teaches. Aaron had to do that which was instructed by the LORD to show a miracle to hardened hearts of Pharaoh, while calling all his magicians to imitate what Aaron did. Yes they did the same manner and their rod became serpents ONLY AARON’S ROD SWALLOWED UP THEIR RODS.

Hope we may learned from them.

God bless

Satan is the great copy cat of the LORD. It's what's in his heart, "I will be like the most High." Whatever God does, Satan will be sure to follow that up. It will seem to be from God, but it's not. His main attack has and always will be on the word of God. He wants people to doubt the absolute authority of the word of God.

There certainly are no translations that are without error because thank God for using errant man to write them. Although God inspired men like Moses David Solomon Paul and the prophets to write His holy word I believe He did that for a reason. God has always used man as a blessing to them to take part in His work of spreading the gospel. If Moses David and Paul were tried in the courts of USA they would have been sent to prison for a long time. Moses would have gotten life for murdering a soldier, David would have gotten 15 to life for conspiracy to commit murder, Paul would have gotten the death penalty for mass murder. Those are just the three most popular characters in the bible. Very few bible characters were "scholars". God chooses the weak to confound the wise and I can get much comfort in that thought because I am the least of all, and the greatest of sinners.

The bible "translation" is not the issue. The issue is the manuscripts and who handled them. There are also many lies surrounding the manuscripts that the translators used for 1888 version of the "revised version". There are two sets of manuscripts that were used in translating the bibles. One set the "textus receptus", or "received text" was used for the KJV, and there are two minor manuscripts which were mainly used for the RV which was the first of the "modern translations". These two "minor" manuscripts were called the codex siniaticus and the codex vaticanus.

The received text was handed down through the ages from the jewish scribes called masorites. As the masorites transcribed pages onto another page if they made an error in the writing they threw away the page and started over so there were no visible errors on any pages. The received text was very well kept throughout history.

The two minor manuscripts were not cared for so well. The codex siniaticus was found in a trash pile in a catholic monastary in sinai Egypt and it contained may errors. There were changes and erasures on the original manuscript. When I say original I do not mean that these manuscripts were written by those who actually wrote the books they contained. There are NO original manuscripts no matter how many lies the westcott and hort group try to deceive people with. In the 1880s two men were chosen to lead a committee to write the revised version. westcott and Hort. Both of them were not Christians. One of them was a spiritualist medium and started the "ghostly guild" which taught people that there are spirits that can be conjured up. . . The other one was a devout follower of Darwin. These two men took these manuscripts that were filled with errors and changes and changed them even more.

In the beginning the revised version was well received but over time many modern translations sprang up using these errant manuscripts which westcott and hort wrote of which was the NIV. The NIV is the satanic counterfeit of God's holy word. Since the first writing of this, I dare not call it a bible, in the seventies there have been two major "updates". I ask this: If a bible is that good why would it need to be updated so often? The KJV has served God's people well since Tyndale. The first "update" of the NIV they removed 8 verses from the NT. You can go online and read which verses are missing. The second "update" in 2011 they removed 17 verses from the NT and deleted many very important words like sanctification in all its forms, and justification in all its forms, sanctuary, righteousness. . .Here are the verses missing from the "new improved" satanic NIV 1New International Version

Please look these up for yourself.

I used to attend bible study with no less than ten translations until I found this out and the Lord revealed to me John 14:26. When we pick and choose which bible verse sounds right and good to us we are not letting the Holy Spirit reveal it to us. Some verses are not meant for us at that very moment. God does not reveal everything to us at once, and that is why we can read the bible over and over and God reveals new things all the time. God's holy word is everlasting and infinite. And when I sit in a sermon and the speaker tells me to follow along in my bible and he is reading a different translation I get lost. This is a trick of the devil. When the speaker tells everyone to read along it sounds like the tower of babel.

Regarding this most recent post, 1871, by masmpg: it is amazing how our thinking can be bent when we only look at one side of a story. Please sir, consider Proverbs 18:17, and then read The King James Only Controversy by James White. Your information is incomplete or erroneous on several points.

I do not believe James White. I believe the truth, and the satanic counterfeits are leading people far from it.

Please expound on the "points" my information is erroneous on.

The evidence is overwhelming that the NIV especially is destroying Christianity by deleting very important doctrines little by little. The divinity of Jesus is almost non existent in the NIV,. And the doctrine of sanctification is gone! Please study this for yourself and stop listening to one person. I have studied this problem for 25 years, but when the 2011 version of the NIV came out I cannot keep silent any longer. To remove 17 verses, completely delete them from God's word is heretical. Why do we need a new NIV every 10-20 years? The KJV has served the church well since 1611. In the past 100 years since the first errant "revised version" was released churches have been in decline, but since the new 2011 NIV the are diving off a cliff.

1. The KJV is outdated
2. The KJV uses a language people have not spoken in years. And is unrecognizable to the laymen.
3. The KJV is not perfect in its own right in spite of the above major issues.

I think instead of tearing down other bibles. and worshiping one. We need to allow God to use the word as he seems fit.

Unless God allows us all to speak biblical hebrew and biblical greek and biblical Aramaic perfectly. and gives us the origional autographs. We are are relegated to read people interpretations of manuscripts which can not even prove are the perfect forms of the originals.

Your choice, but his book is very well-documented. No need to believe him; believe the evidence which he has collected.

Dr. White does a far better job, and I see no need to copy-paste his entire book.

"The divinity of Jesus is almost non-existent in the NIV"... this is silly; I was convinced of the divinity of Jesus by reading the NIV. Your point is invalidated by my experience. Your view seems to have more to do with upholding the KJV as the standard and comparing everything else to it, than with upholding the manuscripts as the standard and comparing all English versions to them. Try reading up on "expansion of piety".

"Stop listening to one person." Recommending a book only means that I'm recommending the book, period. It says nothing about how much research I've done, or who else I listen to. Don't make unwarranted assumptions about my views or practices.

"Churches have been in decline"... perhaps, but do you honestly think this has everything to do with the RSV and other newer versions, and nothing to do with the Enlightenment, evolution, and a general trend toward secularism in English-speaking contexts? Your point seems narrow-minded.

If you like the KJV, great. It's one of many good English translations. If you want to attack every other English translation and exalt the KJV, you are likely to be opposed.

What is silly is to think that a translation that keeps deleting more and more verses every time they "update" it will actually lead one to Christ? The satanic counterfeits are philosophical arguments for those who want to argue.

You deflected instead of dealing squarely with my comments. That and your use of the very-loaded term, "satanic counterfeits" together suggest that trying to have a reasonable discussion with you may be futile.

Thats all the King James Only Cult do though. You just have to read through the threads for past few years on the subject to see they never answer anything, but just reply with a question It is also hilarious to see them try to explain away the preface of the original King James.

I have studied all sides of this argument. I have given plenty of information that should at least cause someone to rethink the counterfeit NIV as anything but a counterfeit. I wrote out all the missing verses that the new NIV has erased from God's holy word yet you seem to think it is okay to edit God's word. You seem to believe that the writers of these modern translations don't even have to be Christians in order to be led of the Holy Spirit. The bible states that ONLY those who obey God will receive the Holy Spirit. I know that westcott and hort, the two who perverted the already perverted codex siniaticus and the codex vaticanus were not Christians. In fact you must be catholic to actually believe that a manuscript called "vaticanus" would be Christian and not catholic. I know that God led in the writing of the KJV bible.

You deny the facts and just call me names. All I try to do is wake people up. I am a seed sower and this issue about the satanic counterfeit translations is very serious. Those who are deceived by this james white have cornered the market on this site, and it is very sad that there could not be a sensible discussion. I could write pages and give very credible sources about james white and the counterfeit translations but you are set in your preconceived opinions that it would make no difference. You probably will not read this, nor have you read my first post. It is very disrespectful to comment on posts without reading the one being commented on.
