Welp. Gonna go pick up the newest edition to my gun collection tomorrow. The Hi-point .45 has got to be the ugliest gun I've ever seen, but it was so cheap, and I hear they are reliable as they come. We shall see.
I tried to suggest to Emily that she should have looked at the Taurus 24/7 Pro in .45... you can find those for about $250 used, and they are GREAT guns. 10 rounds, great single action trigger....
After saying all that, I hit enter, and was given a message that I was blocked from CC.... I just logged back on, and don't seem to be blocked now.... strange stuff going on. I think it's a communist plot..
What do yall have to say about Henry rifles? Just saw an advertisement for it. Anyone got one?

Hear you on "made in America" I love it! I buy my towels from 1888 Mills LLC.My first gun was a cheap piece of crap. When I returned it, I got a Henry .22 instead. Made in 'Murca! It's a good little gun, I've shot several squirrel and raccoons with it.

I want to make sure what ever I buy is good quality. It's good to hear an honest review, Thank you!
You has succeeded! But the color didn't make it...and I thought that was a finger.
I think you already are a cowgirl... Pretty sure Clint would be proud.Sure thing! You won't regret it if you get a Henry. Plus, lever actions are so cool. Makes me feel like a cowgirl.

But looks aside, levers are quicker than bolts and more reliable than a lot of semi-autos.
and, Emily... I've read LOTS of good reviews on the HiPoint.... good to pretty good accuracy, excellent reliability... the only negative I've read (other than the whole "ugly" thing, of course) is that they are an absolute bear to take down for cleaning. Most owners talk about dunking the whole gun in a bucket of solvent and blowing it dry with compressed air....
I am with YIG.... I have a friend that has a Henry .22... and he loves it. I've read nothing but positive about the .22's....
I think I may have read about some issues with their centerfires, but I can't remember exactly what the issue was..

I came very close to buying one of their carbines, but they only have a 10 round mag... if they correct that issue, I'll likely buy one.
