I fail to see how a person acting like him actually cares for anybody but himself...
I've acted like him 12 years ago and I still care for people, including you ma'am.

What trump has said and done doesn't matter to many Trump supporters. That is fact. They're so against the establishment that Trump is like the golden boy. In the eyes of many he is flawless no matter what.

Who do I vote for now?
anyone but trump...

Can a Christian look past his actions and vote for him in a godly way?
no!

Do I just not vote and turn my back and be silent?
that is certainly an option...

don't take a low view of silence though...jesus was silent before his accusers...

I have to say that it's difficult for me to support him after those comments were released which really describe sexual assault (grabbing)... but I believe he is the first candidate we've had in decades.. probably since Reagan... who actually cares what happens to the american people.
trump doesn't care one bit about the american people...

trump is seeking the presidency for one reason and one reason only...so that he can abuse its power...

I'm not sure what planet people live on but on the one I live on, I can go outside on any given day to whatever event and hear people saying way worse things.....and the ironic thing is that many of them are probably offended by Trump.
it's amazing to hear trump supporters...even those who profess to be followers of christ...trying their hardest to -normalize- his disgusting behavior...

is this what trump supporters teach their children? that a person should not be held accountable for being a walking obscenity?

maybe these people really -are- deplorable...

Nah, he has enough power.to abuse already. He is in it mostly to satisfy his own ego, and there ain't nothing wrong with that. I do think he cares for his children and grandchildren, so maybe he thinks he can save a nation for them to live in after he has passed.

abusers of power don't send their airplane to pick up stranded marines or buy a ladies farm so they don't lose it or send your plane to help a young cancer patient....the list is a long one.

Y'all can go ahead and kick me in the teeth for saying this, but I think it needs to be considered.

Maybe Trump was just talking some nonsense to this tv host for a laugh or to make himself feel big.... I know I have. Maybe he was referring to real women he has touched, that have approached him for that purpose.... Trump is wealthy after all. Maybe there is some beautiful women out here that are unknowing agents of satan, who Tempt men, and bring them down..... could've happened to me if I hadn't seen it coming. As far as I can tell, no credible complaint has come forward to show Trump has sexually assaulted them. You got that jill harth woman who has sued before only to be thrown out of court in 97 and April of this year. She was sending emails to Trumps people up until January this year asking to be part of his campaign and passes to his rallies.

So like a normal person should, I got over my indignant outrage after 3 seconds and have moved on.
meanwhile...over at victoria's secret and hooters.......

Yes, those damn victims of sexual assault... how dare they have female body parts thereby tempting Trump to grab it because he can!!!! Maybe we should be like the religion/country that administers "female circumcision"... Those terrible and hell-bound victims!!!!!

Furthermore, I blame Satan and the victims for Trump saying this out loud to another man! It's not Trumps fault!!!

In the first debate Trump complained about a mic that didn't work... well, he finally got a mic that worked... =/

To me it is downright scary that a man trying to get elected president is setting such a bad example. He has made sexual assault legal, to some minds that is. Imagine what sexual predators will be saying whenever caught redhanded? No big deal, the Chief is doing it:(

And to all you men: How do yall think it is for a woman whenever a 6'2"...3" (isn't that his height?) tall guy is doing what Trump was saying? How do yall think it is like being 5'3" and not being able to defend myself against behavior like that??? None of yall don't comprehend what kind of impact those words Trump said have! Some men, most men however, are luckily real gentlemen, but some men, will be using this doggone "Trump card" everytime. Shame on all yall defending what he said!!!

Sometimes I wish that some men had to try out what's it like being a tiny woman in this society...maybe that would change your minds on some issues...just sayin...:(

We all know this wouldn't fly if Bill/Hillary said this... but when Trump says/does it every excuse in the book is used to justify/rationalize it.

I remember some Trump fanatics who wanted to condemn Hillary for defending a man accused of rape. Ignore the fact the founding fathers desired every citizen, no matter how guilty, to have the right to a legal defense... but pardon the sexual deviant behavior of a "man" who is running for the most powerful position in the world.

There is already evidence of that particular double standard if you take a time machine back to the 90's.

So many of the arguments Democrats used to defend Bill are being re-appropriated by many Republicans to defend Trump.

Agreed brother. Both sides will use an argument whenever it is fitting for their agenda. It's as if being consistent with standards is a bad thing... or an impossible thing...

Being consistent tends to get double the critics though... it means you call out both Republicans and Democrats... so I can see how being consistent is not appealing, but nevertheless, it should be something everyone should strive to be.

As I see it there are five factors people take into consideration when choosing who to toss their support behind:

1. Personal Character

2. Ideological Makeup

3. Cultural Affiliation

4. Political Affiliation

5. Level and nature of influence in the previous two points.

It's a literal act of weight and balance. Realizing that somebody of high character and sincere bearing may be swayed by a political or cultural group they are affiliated with. Or that somebody who is sincere and a real leader can also be a danger based on the sincere application of their beliefs.

The level of consistency and honesty with which someone weighs these considerations is more important than the considerations themselves if that makes sense. Weighing them is not an easy task either.

There is a sleeping 6th factor too. That is the experiences of the nominee. This matters so little to people today that it almost isn't worth mentioning.
