No pic upload?????????

It shows my computer's jpg like it used to. But when I go to post it, just a code shows up. Like this:

Do you see a code or a picture of a sunflower?
 
No picture. If you "reply with quote" to the sunflower post and look in the message box does it show the code?

No, I still just see the code.

Oh well, at least I can copy & paste images & gif's from a website. YAY!

I see a sunflower :) I have no problem uploading images from either source: my computer, or the net. I have no idea why others are experiencing technical difficulties in this regard :(
 
what if you go to the advanced posting menu, and select "manage attachments"

then can you upload a picture from that GUI?

my intuition is that y'all have some kind of screwball security setting preventing you from seeing your images. because Blue & i can see the sunflower, but AuntieAnt can't.

but that wouldn't explain why the dialogue option is missing from some people. that seems like a forum permissions thing. but the fact that at least one thread exists where y'all can still upload normally makes it not a permissions thing, because that should be global. or at least sub-forum controlled.
((plus we are informed by mod this is not the case))

so i might think it's possible there's database corruption on the forum server that degraded the permissions of some members in *almost* all the threads. which is a kind of catch-all "well something must be just plain broken" -- not really an 'answer' at all.
but -- there's the fact that kodiak deleted his account and made a new one, and still has the same issue. which is evidence against it being random data corruption, since he's a new user now.

which makes this a real puzzle. interesting :)

((just getting the facts laid out in one place helps sometimes)) -- all this is correct, correct?

one thing about all this, and the fact this thread happened to pop up in "recent" list, so i decided to look at it, is that via inference, reading through all this, now i know who Charlie is :)

because i didn't, before. but i loved him anyhow. isn't that cool?

There are a couple of things people could try in your CC general settings

Make sure the full enhanced wysiwyg is on (what you see is what you get).
Make sure Enhanced attachment upload is on


Plus

Make sure show images is ticked.
