We do not make the Father do what we want. That's nonsense and a "construct" of someone's mind. We delight ourselves in the Lord and He gives us the desires of our heart and we speak forth His desires to come forth in our life as our life is in Him only.
We do not act independently of the Lord - He works in us to both give us the will and the capability to do His will. Phil.2:13.
Revelation 1:5-6 (KJV)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
[SUP]6 [/SUP] And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
hath made us = aorist indicative which means an event in the past that has already occurred.
Ephesians 2:5-6 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
[SUP]6 [/SUP] and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
( this is true right now as we are on in our spirit with the Lord )
So, in light of the above truth - what should we be doing while living on this earth now? Thankfully Paul tells us in Col.
Colossians 3:1-3 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
