Many things get lost in translation on these threads HisHolly. I'm more like you in that I've found out that we can always expect good and not evil from our Father all the days of our lives. "He owns the cattle on a thousand hills" He is a generous Father who gives me over and above what I deserve and I lack for nothing.

He is a miracle working God and Father and in the name of Jesus all things are possible to those who believe. I love to read Psalm 23 and claim the promises He offers each of us in His Word. And I don't want to be like Israel was back in the old days when Jesus wanted to comfort and take care of them but they would not.

I believe in His goodness and love and grace towards me and gratefully acknowledge Him each day for it and the awesomeness of all His provisions because of Jesus. Some call it name it claim it but I call it leaning on Him and His promises because He is faithful who has called us and He will do it. And He has.
:D
I believe the same things... Earlier this year we walked through a very serious health crisis, the medical reports and MRI said I needed surgery or I could be paralyzed for life.....Our Chiropractor, who is a brother in the Lord, gave us his opinion and we went with his treatment options...I was out of work and placed on Short term disability for 90 days...not all the Bill's got paid, but we had plenty of food and the electric and phones stayed on....60 days later I am back at work drawing my regular salary...we are catching up on Bills, and I have complete use of the left side of my body and God is healing me day by day and without surgery...I am still getting my strength back in my neck, and nervous system.....

We have some friends at church that helped us and stood in agreement with my healing and stayed by our side however long it took...we have other people at church that stopped talking to us, because I had some secret sin in my life that caused the crisis....and they caused such strife and division among our other rescinds....and by the time it was over, I was in the shape I was in because of having multiple affairs on my wife....other people got mad at us for not having enough faith for me to be healed and restored at once and that I did not name and claim the thousands in dollars I lost from being out of work and stopped talking to us, barbecue my faith was so small and weak...I was an embarrassment to them and people in our church ..and deserved what I got, because my faith was so small....

I simply counted the trail all joy....let God do his thing and entered into prefect rest that all would be OK......I also learned once again that in the body of Christ there friends, people and devils....

Many miss out on blessings, because they refuse to believe God gets glory in all things and we should be thankful for all things, the good and the bad....

God did not put the crisis on me, but he used it to refine me and and my character and he got all the glory...the thought that we don't suffer for God is foolish and a doctrine of devils...

I answered what was presented to me. Others brought up folks as did I. If I misunderstood, I apologize.. I came to say to those who'd accept, that wof is not total spoiled milk. It has been my intent and of course I didn't snub those who approached me. I try to be honest and fair. Misunderstanding does happen, I apologized for it all

I'm never going to belive God wants anyone sick or poor

or that He doesn't bless His children

He is a good God not some capricious, stingy, god that picks favorites and only heals some

If I'm not healed it's not His fault-it's mine, whatever the impedimate

Show me one place in the Bible Jesus refused to heal someone

(you won't find it and remember Jesus- the express image of the Father)[/QUOTE/]

So you are judging and condemning me and my faith because God has not healed me of multiple autoimmune diseases?

How is fortunate for me that you are not God!

How doubly fortunate for me that my God is bigger than your petty and erroneous conceptions you have about the sovereignty of God and these lies you continue to parrot out of the Word Faith handbook.

My God is in control of everything! He works all things for good for those that love him!

"And we know all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose!" Romans 8:28

I rejoice, in fact I boast in my suffering, which is what the Greek actually says!

"More than that, we rejoice in our suffering knowing that suffering produces perseverance and perseverance produces character and character produces hope. And hope does not disappoint, because God's love has been poured out by the Holy Sourut who has been given to us." Romans 5:3-5

When God pulled me out of my deep depression and sorrow because I was not healed, I stopped being bitter towards him. I thank and praise him every day that he has used my illnesses to form character that I would not have if I had not gone through the pain, suffering and deformities I experience daily!

But I am sad for those who have such a shallow understanding of God, that they do not understand the reality that God can and wiil use everything to shape us into his image.

"And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit." 2 Cir. 3:18

WoF people lack compassion and empathy, and have utterly no comprehension of the truth of life! When I worked as a chaplain in long term care, I saw many strong Christians with terrible diseases, pain and suffering! But their trust and love of God and what he had done for them shone through!

One day you will be sick, or old, or dying! Or maybe you will be hit head on in a car accident like one young healthy woman and break both legs and have to go into care, because you cannot care for yourself for 3 months. I hope then, you will remember the true love of God! Not some lie from out of hell, that God heals everyone! Or some lie that we all deserve miracles, when it is against the will of God.

When God shows you what it means that it is better to have compassion for real people, instead of swallowing this WoF lie that the only option which shows God's love is a complete healing, then you will be maturing in faith and wisdom! . What a narrow minded way to live the Christian walk! How you are limiting the work of Christ in your life for now and for eternity! How sad to lose so many opportunities to encourage others who have not been healed, that God truly loves them, and it not about their faith that they have not been healed, but rather than God has a better plan for them!
I don't condemn you, Angela, far from it, I respect and admire you but before I believe there is a lack of love and compassion from our God, I believe that the fault lies with us.

What glorifys God more A healthy person with a testimony of His faithfulness or someone still ill? Why is being sick a better plan? Better for who? Does God benefit from sick children? Did Jesus leave people sick? I recall in scripture that there were places He did few miracles because of unbelief.

John 9.1-7 shows us something very powerful regarding this very topic and your comments....

Now read this and lets look at what you said and why the church misses the boat on teaching its not God's will for you to be sick or suffer.....

As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth. [SUP]2 [/SUP]And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?” [SUP]3 [/SUP]Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him. [SUP]4 [/SUP]We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work. [SUP]5 [/SUP]While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.” [SUP]6 [/SUP]When He had said this, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes, [SUP]7 [/SUP]and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went away and washed, and came back seeing.

God never has want of anything, God is God and if it is his will, it will be done... this passage clearly shows us that God himself made this man to be born blind so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

Jesus did not heal everyone in his own hometown because of their unbelief...
So you are half right, that God is not capricious, stingy, or a god that picks favorites, however Jesus only healed a few in his own home town....Mark 6 shows us this clearly....

John 9 completely refutes this statement and soundly....The false teaching that suggests we get sick or go through health issues, because of SIN in our life is from the enemy, because it condemns us and there is now therefore NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus...Jesus says very plainly that SIN did not cause this man's condition....Please run from those that teach you this....

Jesus never "refused" but he was unable to do miracles or heal many in his own hometown

Mark 6.5-6

[SUP]5 [/SUP]And He could do no miracle there except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. [SUP]6 [/SUP]And He wondered at their unbelief.

This was not meant to attack you Psalm, but to correct you....we must get out of the condemnation that says if we get sick its on us or that it is not God's will that we suffer physically for his glory....John 9 shuts the mouth of the deceptions in the WOF movement that teach and preach, we don't get sick....Hagin died from a massive heart attack and in hospital and hid his condition for years....

I shared John 9 with someone very well known in the WOF movement, right before we left the movement, he called me and my Bible an outright liar and lie....False doctrines always see what they want, not what's there....

Peace to you Psalm, but really come to full age on this one....

My voice is gentle and I want to understand what you are saying..

what then do you feel are grounds for God not to heal someone?

We do live in a poluted world and don't take care of ourselves properly so I'm not saying that SIN is the only cause of sickness, or even A cause, it's one of many but I know that the cure is Jesus, no matter what the cause.

Can I be honest, Can I tell you what testimony is great, and has led a many to Christ.

Those still ill, and still praising god, and has a testimony.

Yes, Having cancer and being healed is a great testimony, But people who do not believe in Christ are seemingly healed of cancer..

Why is being sick a better plan? Better for who? Does God benefit from sick children?
Yes he does. When sick children look to God and praise God for their lives.. People see that and are drawn not only to the children, but to God.

Did Jesus leave people sick?
Jesus had a mission, And prophesy said while he walked the earth, his mission and proof of who he was was to heal the sick make the blind see, and the lame to walk etc, etc. So I do not think we can use Jesus example for us today.

Did he leave some sick? I do not know, I have never studied to see if every ailment in Judah or Galilee or area he visited was miraculously free of sickness and disease for three years. I think that would be such a major event, it would certainly be left in writing in the history books of wonders..

Paul went on a missionary journey one time, and had to take someone else. because his normal partner was ill and could not travel. Why could paul not heal that person so he could do Gods work?

I recall in scripture that there were places He did few miracles because of unbelief.

Yes he did, And he rose two people from the dead, Who could not believe one way or the other..

MY experiences with healing haven't been over night...it took Tom monthes to get out of the wheelchair if we had given up and just gone with what the doctors said (poor prognosis for survival)Tom would probably not be mowing the yard but he does. We held on to God's promises.

My daughter has been prescribed powerful narcotics for years, Fentalyn patches, Dilaudin, vocodine, norcos. She had diabetic nerve pain, gastritous, and at one time weighed 87 lbs.

I prayed for healing and restoration not that she'd be able to bear it with grace.

Jessie has been in rehabilition for a month now and has no pain.

God was my only hope and He is faithful.

I have a daughter again not a junkie. Praise His name.

I refuse to take pills unless I have to. then only for a few days.

I think they give to many pills today, and that's why we are so sick, we are reliant on pills. I venture to say a lot of people on them do not need them.. and the side affects are sometimes worse than the help they give.

I agree...I started in the medical pharmaceutical drug field back in 1980 and these man-made drugs are full of side-effects. I always said that if you need them - them take them UNTIL you get your diet and life under control. They are good for just short term usage to help you to get along. Most just want to keep their lifestyle and take the pills to counteract their ways. Bad combination.

Galatians 5:9A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
I already covered this earlier. It's unfair to group everyone together and say it's the entire movement and choose who's wrong.
Bible also says, touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm. Bad or not David understood this and never touched Saul.. Nobody is in authority unless God put them there.. Bible says it's He who delegated..
Bible also says who is anyone to judge another's servant.

Do they stand condemned? Does love not cover a multitude of sins? Why are they cast down with words and not covered in prayer bc their souls are at stake?
