It's because Pence would not have ever had a chance. Trump is probably the only one who could have polled this close to Clinton. Clinton over the past 8 years has become the heir apparent to the throne. Sure Pence probably would be a better prez than anyone, but no politician could have a chance at beating hillary. Just like Jim Webb would have been a much better candidate than hillary, but he has no curb appeal. No one really likes hillary, but she has been running for president for 30 years, its hard to overcome that. Only an entertainer and shocking loud mouth could have a shot at it.

I don't want Clinton to be president, she is a committed leftist who serves a master that is nefarious in nature. I don't know who it is, but it ain't good.

Well, there were a couple Republican candidates to have higher head-to-head numbers against Hillary. Trump never was ahead of Hillary in head-to-heads during the primaries.

I'm curious where you get this belief Trump was the best candidate to go against Hillary in terms of who would win. It's counter to the polls and counter to the DNC/Hillary's wishes according to the Wikileaks email dump. Hillary is definitely the worst candidate, but she isn't a moron.

My take on this is that some people had so much faith in what he said, that they refuse to see that he is a demagogue, he has promised them too much. He said he was gonna "lock her up", that he was gonna create "million/billion of jobs", he was gonna build a wall that would make sure nobody could enter from Mexico, he was gonna extradite 11 million illegal immigrants etc etc...and all he is doing now is waltzing along with the assault allegations...he must really love the lime light:p

there is pretty much zero evidence for this claim...and plenty of evidence refuting it...

trump is probably the only one of the seventeen candidates capable of -losing- to clinton...this is why the clinton campaign used the media to manipulate the republican party into nominating him...

Absolutely true! Wikileaks proved what we already knew to be true as well. For some reason they ignore that email dump from Wikileaks and I can't understand for the life of me why they ignore this fact.

Let Trump take all the assault of the left and mainstream media. I'd hate to see Pence go through what they are putting Trump through. I have a strong bond spiritual to Pence, but I think Trump is better at handling the arrows of the enemy at this point. I believe Pence will be the next president after Trump tho.
