In my studies, I have found the cannabis plant to fit the need and the history of the anointing oil than the calamus plant and the word itself. The KJV translates the Hebrew word “qaneh” (pronounced kaw-naw’) into “calamus.” Per Strong’s Concordance, “qaneh” means “a reed (as erect); by resemblance a rod (especially for measuring) shaft, tube, stem, (the radius of the arm) beam (of a steelyard): – balance, bone, branch, calamus, cane, reed, spearman, stalk.”

The Hebrew word for “calamus” is “kanah bosm,” which is plural. The singular for this is “kaneh bos,” which sounds remarkably close the modern word “cannabis.”
Do you have any scripture to show I am wrong with my findings or are you in agreement?

Why? Are you looking for a sweet smelling aroma before GOD?

if you were a priest before GOD why are you interested in making a temporal anointing oil?

it is unlikely that cannabis would have been the 'qaneh' used by the hebrews in the anointing oil...because while the ancient israelites had hemp they considered it a textile material and not as any kind of spice or perfume...

Why should that matter? I am looking to clarify what the bible says. Do I need a reason, other than to know what it is, and to test all things?

How do you know it was only used for textile and not perfume, spice or food? Can you show me a passage?

Do you want to prove it is cannabis so you can still continue to smoke it with a clear conscience ?

This is actually a very good trolling. Good trolling I have not seen in some time. I will keep an eye on this thread for the entertainment value. Thank you Patinthehat for the amusement.

And here I thought the professional trolls were a thing of the past. I have said multiple times that trolls today just pop in and blast their lines that they copy-pasted from websites. I am glad to be proven wrong. There ARE still trolls out there who actually put some effort into it.

Is it wrong to just try to find the truth? The harm that prohibition is bringing to the people is outrageous. When do we start asking for answers, if not now? Do I need to have cancer to look into it's cause and it's cures? Maybe Yahweh gave us a plant that cures our ailments, that the evil does not want us to know about. Would that be reason enough to ask? I ask you this; Why are you and others, not asking the question? Has the propaganda of the pharisees taken hold of Yahweh's people to the point that they no longer seek truth?

You won't answer the question with what you think the bible says. Why? Can you not defend your stance? And why do you attack me with accusations without merit? HMMM.

Read exodus 30 before you consider duplicating the holy oil signifying those anointed of GOD

No one but a priest before GOD has a right to this. And anyone who is a priest before GOD doesn't need it

no right to look into these things. Anyone who does is duplicating a temporal covering that can't cover

Don't entertain this topic. It should NOT be done. Anyone who uses this is actually uncovered and knows nothing about THE COVER. Therefore it is as "strange fire" before GOD

You who know the TRUTH would not wear the vestments of a High Priest before GOD, would you?
