You don't think it will just reveal your own ignorance to what Joseph Prince actually teaches in context? Then if confronted on your ignorance and presented with the truth will you still continue to speak falsely of a fellow believer and say he teaches something he does not?
Two statements here are a real problem

ignorance - assumes the subject has not be looked into in detail
fellow believer - if the doctrinal differences are real, this teacher is not a christian

If the teaching of a man uses all the same words as the bible yet redefines them in a
way that is not following Jesus, they have left the faith.

The core of belief is about the nature of separation between God and man.
And the issue is sin. And the reason why we sin, is because we try and implement
good and evil in our own way and destroy our very selves because we are separated from God.

Jesus declares if we follow Him we will walk righteously and be free indeed.

Listen to JP. You will be seen as Christ and nothing you do will matter.
So you need to see yourself as beautiful even though you are a complete mess and got it
all wrong, seeing that is condemnation, and trying to sort it out is of the self and evil.

So rather than being shown Jesus's example, and following, working through ones issues and
failures, this version all the issues and failures are ignored and buried in the belief being
religious will sort them out.

That is not the gospel, and a preacher preaching this junk is just a showman hypocrite, though
he claims to speak to God, he is just inventing more ways not to be righteous and yet claim
the impossible. How will these sinners not die in their sins, when they do not resolve anything,
but believe their nakedness is covered.

The true Christian life is based on believing what Christ has done for us. Our humanistic natural mind cannot grasp the realities of spiritual truths so we are quick to dismiss them.

We are totally dependent on the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ and the things that God has freely given to us. Let's inquire of the Lord for the things we need in our lives in order to walk out what He has for us so that He will be glorified.

1 Corinthians 2:12-14 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God,

[SUP]13 [/SUP] which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.

[SUP]14 [/SUP] But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him;and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.

2 Corinthians 4:18 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

The truths of Christ and what He has done are the real things and they are eternal.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NASB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] for we walk by faith, not by sight

I agree with you about the 2 statements.
Part of the "acceptance" of their doctrine is to accept them first as christians, possibly immature ones, or misinformed, or spiritually blind. When others "not on their side" disagrees agreeably & become friends, those are usually here to propagate the idea that we're all "family". There was one who did this that bashed me earlier in this thread. I must admit, I was surprised, & very little surprises me anymore. It's all a part of this "plan", a network of actors, purposely sent to wear us down on the idea of accepting the people, then this doctrine, or at least put up with it like others we already do, like OSAS.

The more we put up with, the bigger it grows, & the stronger it establishes itself. Once accepted on any level, it's here to stay.

Now I disagree that these televangelists are showman hypocrites, because they're much more than that. That's what they are on the outside, but inside they're more ravenous than we believe.

They're super rich. They have connections. They stay off the public radar as if they're some government asset. Some of them are rich enough to be part of the 1%. Kenneth Copeland is so big he's considered the new head of the WOF.

What about TBN? It's HUGE, It's an empire in & of itself. It's a network..... not just video, a criminal network, but its criminals aren't being watched by the FBI. If they were TRUE christian organizations, The govt. thru any of their investigative branches would already have shut them down because of their power & influence. Or infiltrate it.

IMO, these showmen are at least ten times more dangerous than they seem.

In the day we live in, we need to start thinking on this level to be God's watchman.

This is AWESOME!!!!!! That is so true I am in total agreement we are to look to Jesus the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our faith. The only way we can fight the good fight is to look to Jesus and realize it is His obedience that has given us ANY STANDING WHATSOEVER before God.

PRAISE JESUS for His amazing and wonderful works to and for the children of men!!!! The essence of our warfare is LOOKING to JESUS and the only way to demolish those destructive strongholds is to be free of condemnation Romans 8:1 "There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus." and receive daily the GIFT OF NO CONDEMNATION. AMEN THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!

This is the warfare we are in. It is about and always will be about JESUS and what He did and looking to Jesus and resting in Jesus for the victory.
:D The fruits of the Spirit are not fruits of the flesh.

Only abiding in Christ will do., NOT self pride with all it's abilities being so aware and filled with self and not being more aware Christ in YOU the HOPE OF GLORY will bring victory in the Christians life.

I heard this years ago and even posted it here. What a BLESSING. I will be home later and look forward to discussing this new topic.

The ones who thought this was unBiblical just do not understand what it means to abide in Christ by knowing HE is our righteousness., HE is our wisdom. HE is all things to and for us.

In his book Destined to Reign Prince says this about repentance
"For all of you who feel that there should be more preaching on repentance, do you know what the word ‘repent' means in the first place? The word ‘repent' is the Greek word matanoeo, which according to Thayer's Greek Lexicon, simply means ‘to change one's mind.' But because we have been influenced by our denominational background as well as our own religious upbringing, many of us have the impression that repentance is something that involves mourning and sorrow. However, that is not what the Word of God says. Repentance just means changing your mind."
Prince is not being honest with the Greek word metanoeo. Here are the Strong's definitions of the word
Greek Definition
g3341. μετάνοια metanoia; from 3340; (subjectively) compunction (for guilt, including reformation); by implication, reversal (of (another's) decision): — repentance.AV (24) - repentance 24;a change of mind, as it appears to one who repents, of a purpose he has formed or of something he has done
Notice the word compunction in the definition. Here is the English definition for compunction:
Webster -Compunction: a feeling of guilt or regret ( chiefly US)
Full Definition
1 a : anxiety arising from awareness of guilt b : distress of mind over an anticipated action or result 2 : a twinge of misgiving : scruple synonyms see penitence, qualm com·punc·tious -shəs adjective
So, to repent does not just simply mean "to change ones mind." There is much more to it than that. The word that Prince used in his above statement makes this even more clear.
Repent: metanoeo: "to think differently or afterwards to reconsider (morally feel compunction) To change ones mind. To change ones mind for the better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of ones past sins."
As you can see, this definition means more than simply "to change ones mind.
How did Christ define the Gospel?

Luke 24:45-47 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
Christ makes it clear that repentance and the forgiveness of sins is to be preached. In other words, we must preach Law and Gospel. No one can be saved without repentance. A gospel without repentance is no gospel at all.
Examples of repentance from Scripture

Matthew 11:20-24 Then he began to denounce the cities where most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent. "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I tell you that it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for you."
Acts 26:19-20 "Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.
Matthew 12:41 The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.
Acts 3:19 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,
2 Corinthians 12:21 I fear that when I come again my God may humble me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those who sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and sensuality that they have practiced.
Revelation 3:19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.

Have you ever noticed that the hypergracers say "Jesus is salvation", ''Jesus is grace'', ''Jesus is everything''? But when you use scripture & quote Jesus' teachings, they will say "you can't use that, 'cuz it's "Old Covenant"

Apparently Jesus isn't everything after all.

After watching that blatant twisting of scripture from this cult leader Joseph Prince, now I know where and why their followers constantly say..."don't be sin conscious but be Christ conscious". This false concept to ignore your evil thoughts and desires is taught to them by this deceiver and perverter of God's words of Truth. Basically he is telling people to ignore sin and evil thoughts and desires, which is also why he preaches the Holy Spirit will not reprove their conscience of sin.

All this false doctrine is right in line with what JP was saying in that video. This false doctrine is not of God's Holy Spirit, but is of the spirit of the Prince of this world= The Devil. Mr. Prince may look like a lamb to some, but he is clearly speaking by the spirit of the Red Dragon, the father of lies.

Maybe this teaching will help to understand when reading scripture and the words of Jesus.

I like to use this website as it answers questions about he grace of God and also has at the bottom a place where people have asked questions about he teaching. I often learn a lot from that area too.

How Should We Read the Words of Jesus?

Jesus is the greatest preacher of all time. He told stories and preached sermons the whole world needs to hear.

The genius of Jesus is that He often preached one message with two punchlines. If you were confident of your own righteousness, you got law, but if you were not, you got grace.

Consider Jesus’ story of the Pharisee and the tax collector (Luke 18:9–14). Both men went to the temple to pray. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself. His prayer was a résumé. He thanked God that he was not like other men and bragged about his fasting and tithing.

But the tax collector stood at a distance and prayed just seven words: “God, have mercy on me, a sinner.” Jesus ends the story with a bombshell: “The tax collector went home justified before God.”

How does this parable make you feel? Does it fill you with joy or resentment?

Your response to the story is your response to the gospel. If you identify with the sinful tax collector, then this story is good news. Really? He went home justified? That’s the scandal of grace right there. God justifies sinners (Romans 4:5).

Search the parable for evidence of the tax collector’s good works or merit, and you’ll find nothing. Grace is for the undeserving. It’s for those without résumés.

But if you are confident of your self-righteousness, this story is not good news at all. “Wait a second. I fast. I tithe. I am better than other people. Jesus, what are you saying?”

Jesus doesn’t mince his words. “Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled” (Luke 18:14). That’s a hard word for a hard heart.
It’s a word that condemns the self-righteous and silences the boastful. It’s a word of law for those who don’t see their need for grace.

Jesus is brilliant at giving people exactly what they need. Consider the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32). Some people love this story, others hate it. I’ve had people tell me, “I feel bad for the older brother. He worked so hard.” They say this because they are working hard.

They are good and decent and can’t understand why Jesus would throw a party for prodigals and not for them. It troubles them that we are inside whooping it up while they’re outside working on their résumés.

The story is real. Every one of us is in it and everyone is invited to the party. Grace is for all. But you’re going to have trouble receiving it if you think of your heavenly Father as an employer. And that’s the whole point. You’re going to have to change your mind about God or you will never enjoy his love.

Words mean different things to different people. If you identify with the tax collector or the prodigal, the words of Jesus are packed with radical grace. You’ll read them with praise and thanksgiving and whoops of joy. But if you identify with the Pharisee or the older brother, his words are extremely unsettling. They are serious words, not fun at all.

Yet if you allow them, the words of Jesus will change you. They will strip you of your religion and reveal your need for grace.

I agree with your definition of repentance. I think true repentance is always accompanied by a Godly sorrow or remorse over sin. I believe that when a person is first awakened or convicted of sin, that they begin to view this practice or vice the way God views it. They begin to see how destructive it is. Changing your mind is rational and involves a mental assent and agreement with God. We change our mind or outlook about ourselves, our practice and agree with God.

We also submit ourselves to him and agree not only that our practice is wrong but that we deserve judgement. At this stage, there may be no real emotions or sorrow. However, once our mindset has changed and we begin to view our sin from God's perspective, we can't help but feel crushed and broken over how our sins have injured and offended God. It is when we are in agreement with God that our eyes are fully opened to the extent of our own sin. This agreement and remorse then produces a desire and resolve to not continue to injure God. If we see how terrible our sin truly is it only follows that we don't want to keep persisting in the same practice.

Our resolve is not in our own strength. We seek his grace to enable us. I just read a quote this morning from Corrie Ten Boom that I loved. She said: It is not my ability, but my response to God's ability that counts

Here is a good teaching on where the word "repentance" came from originally. It is really a latin word that got transposed over into the New Testament scripture. It actually means "To do penance ".
