God promised to preserve His word for all generations. His word is truth. That means it does not and cannot contain any error whatsoever. If any Bible is in error, it cannot be consider the word of God and must be rejected as such.

John 17:17, Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might sin against Thee

The word is near...even in my heart

don't tell me what it means...I know what it means...and so do most of us here....no English translation is inspired

Hi,

Now not really going to a Greek this time but examining the NRSV why it is Greek and not Gentile.

1. I ask before why Greek? when you said in Jewish thought, there are only two classes of people either a Jew and Gentile. So in by your saying, is it not a proper translation is not Greek but Gentile?

2. In the NRSV, says “There will be anguish and distress for everyone who does evil…”, I asked, Is doing evil for the Jew and the Greeks only? If so are some Gentile nation excluded in doing evil?

3. It further says “glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good”, the Jew first and also the Greek” the same manner, is doing good to the to the Jews and Greeks only?

4. Does “everyone” refers to the living Jews and greeks only? Is not the judgment for all the people since we know it that “ALL” have sinned? Parralell to the judgment Is not during the judgment by flood covers only a certain place? Or the coverage is the whole world

God bless

To the Jews and Greeks first.....so the rest come after.

Look mate, I am not really interested in your cult, and I won't be engaging any more with you.

your arguements are past silly...people post the errors with facts about the errors and you KJ folk insult us and basically ignore the facts

your all just playing out of your KJ apologetics handbook...

what you do, is ignore the actual rebuttal and make personal comments to the responder

it's a silly and immature tactic and is not an actual conversation or a proper response

many of us here have told you that same thing in different words, but the same thing

nothing is off topic, nothing is desperate save your own lack of actual ability to respond

what you folks are actually doing, is defending yourselves, because your defense of an inspired English translation of the Bible, is indefensible

You so called facts posted are coming from corrupt manuscripts from Egypt and the Vatican. They can't be trusted.

Yes, God's word that He has given us, we are to hide in our hearts. We should read, study, memorize Scripture so it can work in us to bring us unto obedience to the Lord.

How would you know that God sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for us if not for written Scripture?

well that is not true

and spot on once again with the handbook for KJ only

so far, you are batting 100

there are no original manuscripts

God is not partial

He got through to Abram and He managed it with me too

you guys are not in charge LOL!

I grew up on the KJ...15 years of it...I might very well know it better than you...

Moses wrote the first 5 books of the Bible

was he there at creation? how can you believe what someone has written who was not even there and not even born?

honestly, it is the Holy Spirit who is at work in the world today....not you

How would you know that God sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for us if not for written Scripture?

but you consider ALL other translations to be inspired by the devil himself

how then do you view people who do not have a KJ?

born of the devil?

King James only is a doctrine

It is a manmade doctrine

It is not found in the Bible

I would think it safe to say it is actually a religion

it certainly is not the gospel

hey

we are both smarter than that

where in the Bible does God say that ANY translation is inspired?

you guys made that up!

I don't know of any place in the bible that's talks about inspiration of translations directly. Either translations are inspired or the inerrant word of God doesn't exist today in any language.

God's word today is written in most languages. it just is not written in middle English. translating God's word into a modern language does not corrupt it.

I believe God's word is in all languages too and I do agree that translating to modern English doesn't corrupt it. But a bible that says Jesus had an origin is flat out wrong. Why would you support a work that you know is wrong?

Are you saying that once a person is saved, they have no need to read and study Scripture because the Holy Spirit will teach them all things they need to know?

Bible believing is a doctrine. Is there a Bible you believe in 100%? Do you have a Bible you can trust and call the word of God?

Do you think all bibles are corrupt?

I think you hope I will say that I do

LOL!

KJ playbook question alert!

The KJ is a very good TRANSLATION...not an INSPIRED English Bible...it is not inerrant and infallible and not some

God does not dictate His word through automatic writing...the personalities of the people who wrote the books of the Bible are demonstrable

that alone indicates that God uses the imperfect to convince human frail beings of His perfection

I believe in the doctrine of God

do you know what that is?

I don't believe in YOUR doctrine

All translations in the Bible were actually better that the original position.

Enoch was translated so he wouldn't face death.
The kingdom was translated from Saul to David
The believer has been translated into Christ

I just want an honest answer. When somebody presents you with bogus doctrine where do you go to verify if the doctrine is right or wrong.
