What does God have you do?

I thought it'd be nice to have a thread where we can talk about what God has us do.
I used to think and still subconsciously do think at times that Gods work is serving is a church environment or doing mission trips etc. but those things are not chosen for everybody.
Sometimes I forget and look at my life and wonder what am I doing or what has God have me and then I remember, the job I go to everyday is where God has me, it us where He wants me and has work for me there.
Just recently I was appointed Leading Hand in our warehouse, so I basically run it and I have a team of people who report to me.
I went for the position a couple of years ago with the attitude I was the best man for it and was devastated that I didn't get it, since then God has slowly changed my view of what a leader is, a leader is humble and a servant in a quick nutshell and here is what I am currently learning:
How do treat and deal with people.
To be bold.
To be decisive.
To not try and be pleasing to everyone.
To not fear people, their thoughts and their looks.
And one big one, to see the Gold in a person, not just their dirt and to believe in them.
I'm learning this stuff and nowhere near have it perfect.

So what does God have you do? I hope your story would encourage others who don't know what Gods plan is for them and that they would recognise that they probably already are in it.

In all honesty I am not entirely sure if I am doing what I called to do but it's very possible that he has me on cc all the time for a reason. I can speak my heart and can speak much more fluently in written form and so cc is the best place for me to do all this and in my time of being here the amount of people I have seen him use me to help and encourage and even teach is uncountable even now I am astonished at the way he impacts peoples hearts just by me speaking my heart on here. Not that I can take any credit or that I am being boastful but I believe he has called me to minister on here until the appointed time when he calls me into something more.

Even so I feel as if there is something much bigger and much more that he is preparing me for

Yeah I get what you mean about being able to express yourself better in words, perhaps God does have you here for a reason. It's been quite fruitful hasn't it? Whether we discern it or not God is always preparing us for something, it's those thoughts and feelings of doubt and discouragement that we have to learn to replace with hope and trust that God is doing. There are many things God as us do, even being on CC to love others.
 
First and foremost, he has me doing a lot of time listening to him. As I read the scriptures, I listen for thoughts he sends my way. When I pray, I listen.
Listening is the most important thing I do.

From that place, I speak/teach/counsel/comfort/pray for all the women who come to me. But, I do not look at it as something I do nor take credit for. I am just available. He does all this through me. He is the Teacher/Counselor/Intercessor/Comforter.

Oftentimes I think I am more blessed than they - vessels usually are.

That's wonderful, I love this.
 
I love the premise of this thread...God has taught me much, but why He has taught me to do most is listen to His prompting..he has taught me it's okay to be me...different, a little strange.

He has taught me to pray in public without feeling ashamed or worrying what others thought, but focusing on what God says and just speaking with him.

Also how leaders are first servants.
