While as a Christian I see that abortion and many of the other issues facing society today are unChrist like...I do know that Jesus never forced anyone to accept or follow him...that's why its called Love. Christ offers us the gift of eternal life by accepting him as Lord and Savior...he doesn't force or demand that they accept him...in fact he does the opposite...he conveys Love...a Love where He accepts someones refusal of his offer of eternal life (which I'm certain hurts Christ).
Scriptures tell us that in John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life...there's nothing there suggesting we are forced to accept or believe it...if someone makes the conscious choice to NOT accept and to NOT believe it...well Christ accepts their choice...
Going back to the original comment...while I am against abortion...I cannot force people to accept that view in any way because as Christ gives us all choices and freewill to accept or turn down his offer of eternal life so does everyone have a choice to sin or to turn away from sin

It's worth noting to guide this discussion that not all Republicans are conservative. Not all conservatives are Republican. Not all conservatives are Christian conservatives.
Though it is true that someone can consistently occupy all three categories (we'll see how long that lasts). Many do.
Similarly, not all Democrats are Progressive. Not all Progressives are Democrats. Not all liberals are Secular Humanists.

The trouble is that both ideological persuasions and consequently both parties are becoming less Christian.

Well, it's a combination of the two in my mind. The citizenry must uphold moral and civic standards. They ultimately determine the course the culture takes. Political outcomes are, as they say, downstream from those cultural trends. Tyrants will always lay in wait, but the overall environment they are in can determine whether or not people will buy what they're selling.
It's comparable to what they say about possession. Demons always exist and they'll take advantage of wayward souls. People who involve themselves in the occult or routinely engage in unrepentant sin are opening special doorways.
So yeah, it's being done to us. But we also suffer their presence.

For roughly the last century, electing a Democrat has been the better option for the economy, with Dems creating more than double the jobs than that of Republicans, and faster.

Another way of studying job creation is to take unemployment into account. When a Democrat is in the White House, logically unemployment decreases as well. By this rational, of course, when a GOP takes the Oval Office unemployment rises (and has risen under this party) since 1945.
Indeed, this extends to state and federal levels—the top 20 years of national GDP growth have all been under a Democrat. This is not only true for GDP, but for all economic growth in general—extending to the stock market, income growth and debt as a percentage of GDP.
As if you needed more proof that the blue party is better for the economy, simply turn to the numbers over the last 70 years. When it comes time for Election Day, it’s a matter of fact that with every Democratic ballot cast, it’s almost guaranteed the country will be in a better economic position than if a Republican is sworn in.

Im not liberal or conservative I choose which ever party makes sense and stands for my religious freedom, and the constitution. So far the conservative party hands down lines up with this. I dont care about the political parties and in fact this is another reason why I like Trump because neither party wanted him to get this far. Maybe because he will bring justice to all the corruption. This election has set in motion the beginning of freedom. Either by Trump or the people. This election has so many people involved its like no other. We are ready to clean the white house of the political filth. And yet Hillary finds herself in another scandal and liberals still want to vote for a criminal. Something wrong with this? I think so. Its so funny to watch the liberals right now freaking out about these new emails. Hillarys polls are dropping and one poll dropped 11 points in 1 day. That's crazy! Most polls only show them 1 point apart with still 6 days to go. Polls still dont mean much since they are polling off of last years election and Hillary will not pull in the same kinda votes Obama did with the black and Hispanic community. The black lives matter and black panther group has publicly announced their support for Trump. Latinos are disenchanted with Hillary Clinton after eight years of an Obama presidency where he promised immigration reform the first year, and he didn’t even come close to that.
