As seen in the previous verses, what kind of kingdom is the kingdom when it says that a kingdom will rise against kingdom? Also what are famines and earthquakes, and who betrays whom concerning that many will turn away from the faith and will betray one another?[/FONT]
 
Famines are when there is no food and people starve to death.
Earthquakes are when the earth shakes.

dude... earthquakes are a direct result of famines.... millions of empty bellys rummblin... get youw facts right... lol
 
a famine does not have to be only about food

Kind of sounds like what is going on today?????
 
For everyone suggesting that God is extremely simple and he was referring to physical earthquakes, famines and war; I would say to you to read Romans 1:20. God created physical things to show us the spiritual things that are invisible. Thus PROVE-ALL was correct spiritually speaking when he referred to Amos 8:11.

Everybody else was physically correct, but everyone knows the physical meanings behind those events. However, we know that God is spirit and we to should worship in Spirit and true (Jn 4:24). So by thinking physically we can completely miss the point God is trying to share with us. :( Our thoughts do not compare to God's. (Isa 55:8-9)

The passage here is talking about earth based nations fighting real physical weapon wars against each other.. In the times just before of the return of Jesus there will be a lot of wars and civil wars happening on earth

False Christians who have been lead away by false prophets will start to persecute and killing true Christians and they will think that they are doing the will of God when they do persecute and kill true Christians... Turning away from the Faith is turning away from the true Gospel of salvation and turning to false religions with their doctrines of demons theologies.. There are already a plethora of denominations that have false doctrines and a global ecumenical movement seeking to unite these false churches into a one world religion.. They are preparing the way of the great deceiver the wicked one who will lead these people into commuting great transgressions again God and against His people..

2 Thessalonians 2
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
