I'm Canadian!!! But because of that, the only section I visit is the frozen section (insert fake audience laughter here!)

P. S. Good to see you back Zone.

I live in Canada. I'd participate in a Canadian subforum.

Are we allowed to talk about more than just hockey and beer?

My position on that question is AGNOSTIC.

I think there MAY be Canadians...
but I'm not sure, because I've never really seen one.

Haha. I hope we have other criteria for being a true Canadian. I don't mind hockey, but I'm way more into baseball. I also hate the snow and cold weather. I do however love real maple syrup on my pancakes and beavers are one of my favorite animals:)

Ethnic subforums are among the least used on the site. And that's even with ethnicities whose culture varies significantly than the rest of the site.
Would be difficult to see a new subforum for a group whose culture is basically typically western.

When I was a boy, my dad took me fishing up in Canada once. We probably drove up to southern Canada through Minnesota. The farther north we drove, the shorter the trees became. I had a good time while I was up there.

it's just that we canadians have a kind of shorthand when communicating that we "get" (mostly humor)

so Canucks.....if we had a forum, is it just our unique communications skill sets (lololol) - "CAR!" - that would cause us to post?
maybe our take on daily life....or politics....or American TV!

Please excuse me for editing what you have said by paring it down to just this comment... I had just very recently spoken about this type of shorthand I use when responding at times, assuming people will know what I am talking about as if they were right here with me in my head (haha). You will find that those who have bad intentions toward you will deliberately misread what you say, perhaps in some attempt to provoke you, depending on your interactions with them. In fact, if you follow the ongoing conversations of some people, you will see little twists and turns being read into or omitted from what is explicitly state on a regular basis :cool: Otherwise, as to the shorthand, for myself, I try to keep my responses to the point :) And I am Canadian, eh? :D What is that flag you have above your user name?

I'm a Michigander, does that qualify me? Eh?
