I think the problem is condemnation others put on someone who is sick. Not faith in the Word. Sometimes we just have to let God do the persuading rather than us trying to give faith by our preaching at them. Praying for someone and empathy for their condition is more helpful.

I have a spinal cord disease, a rare thing that not much is yet known. I've had others spout the just believe thing at me and I know how it feels.

But, I also have experienced the power of Holy Spirit in my body by His touch. Five years ago, I was bedfast, weak, my heart failing. Today I have strength, yet still suffer with pain, but a strong heart. I'm in recovery. That's healing too. Some just want to see instantaneous health, but this is up to God how he heals and not us. And some die and receive wholeness in heaven.

The scriptures I walk by...as my days are, so shall my strength be is just one of them. Claiming health? If that same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me, then He shall quicken my mortal body. I personalize it. Jesus said His Word is Spirit and life. The written Word is like a knife, but the Word that comes directly from Him whether from His Voice within or from a prophet is like the saber sword.

Looking at the greek definitions I saw this many moons ago.

If what I've said offends anyone here, just ask me to leave for I cannot deny what I know to be true.

Exactly! This is what is not getting through.
i know what you are saying, but Rhema has been WoF the whole time, and what they taught was not what people see as WoF, people see PG and think we are the same, but we are not.

You need to go back and look at the origins and results of the WoF. Do that first.
i have, it was pretty messy in the begging, but what we Rhema was teaching was true, there were things said that didn't line up by some but again no one is perfect.

if you don't believe jesus saves, you are not forgiven. if you don't believe in healing today, you won't be healed(atleast on the supernatural side, modern medicine will still do its part.) and Malcus was healed in the corporate faith, not by his personal faith, same with the man at the Pool of Bethesda.
Again most Christians believe in healing. The difference is 1) You do not have a RIGHT to it at all something WoF people claim you do (in fact they proclaim over themselves healing, rather inquiring God and praying to God), 2) Again you say with certainty God wont heal. Who are you to say what God will and will not do? Saying God cant do this unless this happens. lol something WoF trump that its impossible to claim your healing without faith. 3) There are many good hearted godly christians who have sicknesses and they in fact do believe in healing. Its when the day comes where they will be raised to life in glory possessing new body with no pain and no hurt. Even people who are suffering in this life thank God for whats to come in the next world not the now world.

If your testimony offends anyone, that's their problem. Thanks for sharing. Praying for you.

if you read what he has wrote his books you see he is far from PG, not saying he didn't have wild theories lol
I have listened to many a sermon and talk and he is a flat out heretic. Though i have never read his books, im confident to say that he is not a sound biblical scholar teacher or pastor.

To add to that is protection. Have you ever had God's protection in a dangerous situation before you were even saved? I have several. Why would that happen without WoF?

"Word of Faith... teaches that Christians can access the power of faith or fear through speech...
The basic doctrine preached is that of wealth and health..."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Word_of_Faith

Ok, some of you reacted to the "health" part, I will post something to "wealth" part.

The Bible clearly says that to be rich is not the part of the Gospel or even the Christian goal to achieve:

"Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you.
Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes.
Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days."

James 5:1-3

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God."

Matthew 19:23

"Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction."
1Tm 6:9

"Looking at his disciples, he said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God."
Luke 6:20
amen amen amen thank you just because there are ways to get rich in the world does not mean your a better person or closer to God or anything of the sort... blessed are the meek for the shall be comforted..... Kindness and caring and loving will get people a lot father with God then riches and gold and a huge ego boosted life... do not boast or brag James 4:6 - But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Mark 4:19 - And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

I am not a follower of Hagin by the way.
RC Sproul, John Piper, Matt Chandler, Paul Washer, John Macarthur, David Platt, Tim Keller, James White, Al Mohler, heck even Michael Brown hehe,

allowing and sending are two different things Roger...
Romans 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Hard for you to accept that this temporal existence is nothing compared to the future hope of glory with Christ.

I know some saints that this very minute are going through extreme trials. Their testimony as they endure great suffering may be the only witness that some of the health care workers tending to them may ever experience. That is much more persuasive than the God fixes everything religion that many adhere to today.

Some in religion today will never come to the truth because they spend all their time picking fly poop out of pepper.

For the cause of Christ

After reading all your post wanderer I find it interesting that your "towing" the wof party line with the same answers they teach you. So wanderer, perhaps you can explain why Timothy was not healed by the Apostle Paul at 1 Timothy 5:23? Paul was not a doctor but he did tell Timothy to use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thinge ofter infirmities.

Or how about at 2 Timothy 4:20, "Erastus abode at Corinth; but Trophimus have I left at Miletum SICK." Why was he not healed wanderer? Was it because he did not have enough faith? Or perhaps he had some secret sin in his life and he was out of the will of God? And did you notice I did not even bring up the Apostles Paul's so-called "throne in the flesh because I don't have to. Wof has a way of explaining that away as well.

Now, can you please explain why wof preachers and teachers wear glasses and even contact lenses? Why have some of them had operations for various problems, catch the flu or a cold? And here is quote form dad hagan, "My belief is that it is indeed God's will that His children walk in complete health. It is ALWAYS God's will to heal His chi8ldren." Apparently mr. hagin has not read Exodus 4:11. I suggest you read it for yourself mr. wanderer.

IN GOD THE SON,

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.'"

Jesus never told us to ask like beggars but to ask like sons and daughters. and i never said God would not heal, but if you don't believe it he won't, but its sill to think you can get something you don't even think is real. brother bring some scripture to the table, its funny but when you all argue with me i tend to be the only one bringing scripture, still no response to the verses i quoted earlier, so ill post them again
