getting ready to make a break for it i can not deal with the abuse anymore!!!!

Not need to look back as I have not accused you of anything not true. I can see clearly by the last page the discussion had turned into two individuals chatting about things unrelated to the OP. Regardless of what stance you took earlier, the fact still remains the thread turned into a discussion between two people about skylights and wood stoves. So I feel fully justified.
 
At least they added some much-needed levity to an otherwise serious thread.. No one here is/has dismissing/ed Jennifer's predicament.

I agree Ugly. I was going to respond to this thread but all I saw were attacks on someone who isn't on this forum any longer. I've read through the entire thread and think what was needed to be said has been.
 
To be fair, CeileDe was the attacker, not the attacked. He belittled Jennifer for choosing to leave a 20-year abusive marriage, before she gets killed. He didn't care that she's done and tried EVERYTHING. He just berated her for choosing divorce over abuse and possible death. I truly think God knows her heart on this and will make allowance for her to divorce. Since he HAS cheated on her, she has grounds for it. So go back and read Ceile's responses to her, before you accuse US of attacking HIM. He did apologize and for whatever reason, deleted his account. Maybe he realized his mouth was doing more harm than good. Particularly on this subject, telling her to stay with him.. :/

I completely understand that but he is gone and no sense keeping on about it.

on Ugly,whats up your nose? I resent that you are making it look like Lauren and I are tee heeing while this woman is hurting. I dont care if you feel justified or not. You're wrong. We had a moment when nothing was being discussed. She stood behind jennifer and I did also. We both gave Celie or whoever a tongue lashing for saying that she should stay in an abusive relationship. And NO ONE is stronger,except maybe Lady Blue,about abuse in relationships than I am. I have two female family members that have gone through this,one being my sister. And if you think Im soft on abusers ask my brother in law what he thinks of me. I wont share what I said to him,Id be banned if I did. So you can feel all self righteous if you want to but you're out of line. Im deadly serious about abuse. You need to step off. Now,ya,Im mad.

know why? cause nobody liked him cause he was always sticking his nose where it was not wanted and telling everyone which way is up...kind of like you and ugly....and he had a spoiled brat hissy fit and left ...never saw a mod remove a profile so fast once he called everyone here a hypocrite and asked to be removed

It is okay I ugly I do get where your coming from as the thread went off topic with them a little bit talking about other things but it is ok they did acknowledge me and my concerns.. They also did stick up for me against the not so nice people.. So i understand them going of topic and lightening the mood.. I understand where you are coming from as well Ugly on sticking ot he topic.. So neither of you are right or wrong you ar eboth showing concern in your own ways so thank you and God Bless you all..

Maybe I'm off some, but it didn't look like it after he had left the forum. Could be just me but looked like a lot of patting each other on the back and talking about someone behind there back sort of thing. But anyways, this thread is about the OP and it seems she got some pretty sound advice form everyone, God Bless

I don't mean to be ignorant, but you are off. I dont talk behind peoples backs. I said what I said directly to him.Whether he saw it before he left I dont know. But I believed I was talking to him. So I wasn't talking behind his back. And when he left I said it was a good thing if that was his attitude. I dont have a slight problem telling someone to their face when I feel they are wrong. He was,and his attitude stunk.

Im
not upset with you.Ugly hit me the wrong way. I feel very serious about abuse.As I said,my younger sister has suffered abuse.She hasn't been hit but she has been terrorized. Abuse that isn't seen is still abuse. Her husband finally went on meds for his issues and he is pretty much a different person,so we thank God for that. So,to be clear, I back jennifer leaving the relationship 100% and I have said so earlier. And anyone who knows me in CC knows I have said the same to every woman who has asked for advice for abusive relationships.

That's Ugly's mission. Put down anyone who doesn't think or act like him. You can't win, and wouldn't want to if you could.
 
Read his post again, and put emphasis on the word "never". In other words, God NEVER said that remaining a victim in an abusive marriage is better than being set free via a divorce..

Oh believe me, I'm not soft on abusers either. I've threatened everything from death (not literally) to castration to the various guys my friends have been with. I've been in that situation of being abused, and wanting to get out, but was afraid to. UNTIL he tried strangling me. That was the last straw. People here rag on me for telling married women to leave and get a divorce from their abusive husband. Well, I sure the heck ain't gonna tell her to stay so he can bash her skull in. And I'm speaking of all the women who have come here with their stories, Jennifer included. Just because the bible doesn't state that abuse is grounds for divorce, doesn't mean that God won't allow it. He knows the hearts of these scared women.
