what nonsense.
we know the masses didn't
I thought we all knew many did - some of them gave us the NT
Roger is correct. If you will go and read Zechariah 12:7-14, you will see that within the context the day of the Lord is being referred to, which has yet to begin.

Morning KJV1611,

The verse that LauenTM provided is regarding the Lord's return to the earth to end the age. In the context this event is apart of the day of the Lord. Therefore, it is not speaking about when Christ was crucified.

"And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives, and all the rest of the clans and their wives." - Zech.12:10
No it doesn't have anything to do with the Lord's return. Carefully read the verses below, they are saying that Zechariah 12:10 WAS fulfilled then. Those things were done so that the scripture would be fulfilled -"They shall look on him whom they pierced". Fulfilled... done... not future.

John 19:36-37 KJV
For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. [37] And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

no, that was already explained in chapter 9, the "isreal in chapter 11 is physical.

Isreal is hated according to the gospel, but beloved according to election, gods gifts are irrevocable, he gae them a promise he ang gave them a gift he never gave anyone else
and if you look up the other reference to 'the election' you will find it in in 11.7 where it says 'the election obtained it and the rest are blinded'. The election were beloved, and the rest were hated. God's offer was to His elect. It always is.

ALL Israel?
or did a remnant believe?
Who rejected Him in Pilots hall?

As a nation Israel will not mourn for Jesus until they see Him descend from the clouds in great glory.

God always has a remnant but still deals with the nation as a whole. There is even a remnant of believers in the church. Not all that profess to be Christians are Christians. Many are ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth. Professing themselves to be wise they are become fools.

How many were at the foot of the cross? They all deserted Him save a very few. Not until the Holy Spirit came were they strengthened and given a vision of the resurrected Christ did they know. The same message we declare today and by the power of the same Holy Spirit.

Preterism has taken you far from the truth of Gods word.

they have to ignore the fact the disciples were Israelites.
the believers were known as Christians.
God's household called the church.
how obvious? like, how does one ignore what it says?

1 Timothy 3:15
so that, if I am delayed, you will know how each one must conduct himself in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

Zechariah 12.7-14, following the defeat of Jerusalem by Antiochus Epiphanes and its recovery under the Macabees, explains the period of Jewish independence, followed by the cross and resurrection, the repentance of part of Israel, and the pouring out of the Spirit (13.1).

God only ever said He was saving a few - a remnant.
in your fav Romans passages, he makes clear exactly HOW all Israel will be saved - IN THIS WAY - by grace through faith. re-read it.

it doesn't matter how many there were at the foot of the cross.
the passage doesn't call for a quantitative number.
of course some/many/all those who arranged for his crucifixion were there - LOL

Oh, that's a pretty good come back "cause I say so." What kind of Exegesis is that? It did not happen in the first century and that because it is specified in the context as taking place during "the day of the Lord," which as I said and scripture supports, has not yet begun. So no, it did not happen in the first century. You might want to go out and read what I listed and you will see that the time of this event is during the day of the Lord. That is of course unless you want to continue providing Kindergarten come-backs.

The bible tells you it took place at the cross.... how can you not understand that? It's written in the bible.

Who rejected Him in Pilots hall?
The Sadducees and Pharisees, and the Zealot sympathisers who had gathered for the judgment on Barabbas. The rest were still eating their first meal of the day in their camps and knew nothing of what was going on,

As a nation Israel will not mourn for Jesus until they see Him descend from the clouds in great glory.
A large minority of Israel mourned for Him and repented after the cross.

God always has a remnant but still deals with the nation as a whole. There is even a remnant of believers in the church. Not all that profess to be Christians are Christians. Many are ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth. Professing themselves to be wise they are become fools.
God does not always deal with the nation as a whole. He deals with the believers in the nation. e.g. jeremiah 5.

there were many 'days of the LORD' through the centuries. God 'had His day' many times.,
