bratty little kids (boys) who keep coming on our property

Their all neighbourhood kids i admit ive struggled to love their ring leader-
the boy from the neighbours right beside us i love him but its a struggle
i know hes cool and that but hes rebellious a loud mouth and mean
came to our house once and kept putting my nephew and our family down
and does what he likes also around the neighbourhood
his parents pretty much dont discipline their kids
im not hating on strong willed but sometimes if they dont use or see as it as a strength its a sure pain in the butt
but its also demonic he tries to manipulate control like spiritually burden or hinder people at even at the mention of him needing
to pull up his socks.
or when i try and pray about this situation my Dad is strong willed so im not demonizing strong willed folks, I have
an amazing dad .

I love his parents they are cool people we have talked before and met them too
and i can see the good in them and their oldest son
but its provocative and really ticks that they let him just do what he wants so the problem
in the ring leader and boys keep going on particularly our property and the neighbours
its random to say the least ive told me parents but yeh theyre not doing anything about it.
They dont ask they just come funny cause the neighbours are the type that wont mess with anyone
with you rub them the wrong way - they can be agro
I think its better for us all to pray about this esp the parents( than to tell off the boys esp the ring leader
I was about to) that this door is closed and this opposition
is bound up .
Can you see my frustration tho?

Regarding YOUR property, and YOUR family, and YOUR house...

you need to step up and enforce YOUR rules.


You can do it as politely as possible,
but you have to set rules, and consequences for breaking them, and then let those be known.

Once you set boundaries, they WILL step over your boundaries and break those rules.
So be prepared to enforce the consequences.

A. If you DO NOT set rules, and boundaries, and consequences for breaking them... they will KEEP running over you FOREVER.
B. If you DO set rules, and boundaries, and consequences... they will NOT respect them at the first... and they will FORCE you to enforce them.

A and B are pretty much all you have.

You can do it politely, and diplomatically... but A and B are still all you have.

You either LET THEM RUN OVER YOU... OR STAND UP AND SAY "THAT'S ENOUGH".


Sorry.
There's no easy way to deal with manipulative people.

could we call the police or someone lesser in authority for last resort consequences?
Im pretty sure my parents should and would be better at laying the boundaries out

Absolutely.

You can call the police, as a last resort, if they're actually breaking the law.

But, although you need boundaries, you don't want to "start a war" with the neighbors if you can avoid it.

I would plan some rules and consequences, and then let everyone know what those are.
Do NOT set any consequences you aren't willing to enforce... because they ARE going to push you.

Be polite, and loving, but firm.
If you aren't firm, they'll keep running over you.

Cannot offer polite and diplomatic solutions like maxwel. Pray almost daily myself for love, compassion, patience and tolerance, mainly for folk such as you are having issues with. Did not call the police where I come from...

ONE TIME:

I had a house where my driveway ran between my house and the neighbor's house.
The driveway belonged to me, not the neighbor, and he didn't actually have a driveway of his own.

I told him he could use my drive, if he parked off to one side, so I could get my vehicles in and out easily.
Of course, he didn't do this; he was always coming home drunk, parking like an idiot, and blocking the whole drive.
I mentioned this several times, politely, and he'd always agree... then keep doing the same thing.

Finally I walked over and said,
"Ya know, I'd really hate to call the police, and have your car towed... I'd really HATE to do that... and heck, they'd probably give you a breathalyzer too, and haul you off to jail for driving in here drunk today... and I'd HATE for that to happen... I'd just HATE that. But ya know, I just gotta do what I gotta do. Hey, do you have the number for the police, or do I need to google it?"

I then pulled out my phone, and proceeded to call the police.

He immediately moved his car, and never bothered me again.


(He was really mean to his kids... so I really didn't mind being so hard on him. I honestly wanted to punch him most of time, lol.)

i'm not gonna lie when i had a similar issue a few years back my friends and i weren't having any of that so we slipped some porn magazines in his room and this kid got in so much trouble. It wasn't right and I certainly wouldn't do it to day but sometimes rebelious kids don't expect retaliation and he knew it was it us but his parents wouldn't listen to him the poor kid was on lock down from then on.

Besides porn magazines is not the way of the straight and narrow now water balloons with holy water on the other hand....

no worries I have a more efficient way, giant sling shot much better aim much more power and speed and if your lucky you will (accidentally) sling shot the little hooligans by mistake ;b

my brothers friends use to do that it was funny then it got really awkward and uncomfortable
except it wasnt aimed at anyone

David used a type of sling shot to take down Goliath so I am guessing those things are pretty reliable of course I wouldn't know it's not like I used use a pebble to hit my sister in the bottom with one or anything :rolleyes: I.....used to have a devilish talent for trouble as a kid

My heinie was my brothers' target of choice with their slingshots. It was tough being the only girl in the family.....but it made me tough also.
I laugh about this stuff now lol

If they are little kids i would just reward them at the end of the week for staying off my lawn with a little bit of candy or something... Then after a while i would get the one ring leader and his friends to do chores around my yard or the street for other rewards maybe.. you have to get creative with it rather then trying to fight fire with fire.

there's something just so un-comfortable about dealing with punks, 'old word' for 'trouble-makers' -

Max has some good suggestions, as you don't want this to progress and to have to have your
parents be in any danger...

most police departments have a person or persons who will come out and mediate a situation
with everyone and probably help lay down some rules that will be enforced before it goes too far...

Play bible sermons really loud through the windows... when they come around.. maybe it will gain their interest in GOD or send them running... Hopefully gain their interests.. Yes continue to pray about how to handle it..
