The moral of the story here is the V word. VERIFY. You have to verify that your fiancé or fiancée is a child of of God. Note that I didn’t say verify that your fiancé or fiancée is a Christian, I said child of God, i.e. seed of God. Anyone can go to church and claim to be a Christian but they are devils. what makes matters worse is the great infiltration of the church by non seeds of God. Not only have they infiltrated, they will also pretend to be true Christians whilst you are courting but when you get married then they will reveal themselves. So seek ways to verify that your fiancé or fiancée is a child of God. You should also note that non seeds of God are on the prowl to lure you into marriage, so be careful and verify.

the point is when God says to not be unequally yoked, you don't be unequally yoked.
there are consequences...
and unequally yoked can even be within the faith...
someone likes to go to church only once a week but loves God.. but you are really into attending any time the doors are open..
they don't like to serve in church and rarely read their bible..you love to serve and read your bible all the time..now you are growing more than they are..
unequally yoked.
When the OXen are yoked together and one is stronger, they do all the work and the other is weaker and will hold the stronger Ox back..
you have to be equally yoked for a relationship to truly glorify God.

Although
the OP was being a little dramatic.. what they said was true..
non believers and believers have nothing in common..
We are to be set apart..
and scripture says to not be unequally yoked.
So for God's glory, we should obey that..
I married a non believer and everything that the OP said was true about this man..
he fulfilled the desires of his flesh... constantly and knew no better..

in our flesh we are the same way..flesh is carnal and not God following..
we cannot glorify God in our flesh...but what we have that makes a diffrence is the Holy Spirit..
HE makes the only difference between a believer and non believer.

which is why we marry someone who believes as we do... and both walk in the spirit so we don't fulfill the desires of the flesh

it's not weird or crazy or absurd to preach against marrying a non believer..and to make sure the person whom you are getting involved with is truly a Christ follower.

The issue with your responses is you are a few weeks late and missed the OPs other posts. He was not being dramatic or funny. He believes we can be tricked into marrying fake Christians, who are actually shape-shifted demons who will stab us in our sleep.
