Holy Spirit interacts with us. Why some are so appalled at this I can't understand.

God with us...Emmanuel. He has come!

I agree that it is in excess for some reason. But, this is the healing of ones emotions.

~Pro_17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

a merry heart is not laughing and braying like a donkey and rolling around making animal noises

I really like humor and I like to have fun and laugh...I really do....but let's not get joy or even happiness confused with accepting any and all manifestations just because they happen in a church

I tell you what...

it can be hard to tell with the mix of spirits in many so called 'spirit-filled' meetings...and keep in mind I believe in the gifts...speaking in tongues...the whole kit

then there is the ugly side that people defend because they think it's God because ...oh my...the devil would not dare show up in church!

unlike the demonized man that screamed out when Jesus went into a certain synagogue...I mean we all know the Holy Spirit will not go near demons, which is proof Christians cannot have one or be bothered by one or in any way compromized

(you know I am being sarcastic, right?...not a you though....just generally......:p

Nobody here said that the Holy Spirit does not interact with us.

So I do not understand what you do not understand.

I do now. lol

This is my second try at this post. Lost the first one...grrr..

We are children of God not of the beast nature. Not sheep who just follow but Sons being formed into His very own image. And I agree, demons to afflict Christians with oppression and depression in the soulish area. Not in the Spirit though. Sealed by the Kings authority.

There probably is a mix of spirits in most meetings. We need Him in every way.

Just a general post.
Charismatics tend to generalize the specific teaching about the Holy Spirit to be all about the Holy Spirit.

No, non-charismatics have the Holy Spirit, too. And He interacts with them. And I would say much more than with so called "charismatics".

Fruit of the Spirit - Gal 5.

Accusation of sin.

For example.
Charasmatics accuse others of sin? Ive not seen this. Am not charismatic by the way. I would just say Ive received the Pentecostal experience. But, am a member of the body of Christ. All who belong to Jesus.

I responded how the Holy Spirit interacts with non-charismatics. You probably asked about something else.

And the word "accusation" was not the best one, I have edited my post.

The error in WOF is not really in the area of faith ,we need faith in order to please God. A big error in word of faith is that they have mixed the Old Covenant in with the New Covenant in an attempt to give their selves God like power in this life. Supernatural health and wealth was given under the Old Covenant but not under the New Covenant. Example, when the people of Israel left Egypt they had supernatural wealth given to them by the Egyptians and supernatural health, not a single person was sick(that is supernatural). The church on the other hand had natural poverty and sickness(as would befall any group of people) from the beginning and always has had. The church is better because we are given the Holy Spirit and the promise of the world to come. In the church we can ask for healing or even money if we need it, however the answer depends on the plan of God. Israel was all about getting things in this life while the church is about the life to come. WOF is mostly about using God to get what you want in this life. Where WOF really proved itself to be false is when the leaders choose to live a rich persons lifestyle. A true servant of God would have choose the lifestyle of the common man.
I gather you're a dispensationalist?

Queries:

-- If there was no sickness in the wilderness than why did they have that much frankincense with them? Frankincense was as much a part of their medicine boxes as aspirin is to ours.

-- If there was no sickness in the wilderness, what happened to the 2 million people who went into the wilderness, yet only Joshua and Caleb made it out? The entire generation died in the wilderness in that 40 years. I highly doubt they died of good health.

-- And are you seriously suggesting that Constantine wasn't a Christian? Are you seriously suggesting no Christian can ever become rich? On what base do you come up with Christians have to be poor?

I strongly suggest you get out of whatever church you're in and find a new one. And then open your Bible to read what it really says, instead of posting what your church has deemed it to say. Neither OT nor NT talks about health and wealth being some kind of sign.

Hysteria shouldn't be confused with mirth.

People laugh at my husband when he loses his balance. They aren't being joyous either.
