Yes, go ahead and think the word of God is non sense... That the commandment of not bearing false witness is somehow gray... and that it's acceptable for a parent to bear false witness to their child... because well, it helps their imagination grow. =/
Yeah, I determined that their sarcastic jabs and remarks long ago stopped adding to the discussion and were just for their fun. Don't take it personally Smoke.

You're saying I think the word of God is nonsense and then cry like a little a girl about someone bearing false witness? You really can't make up what some of the crazies that come here do. Have fun in your little fantasy land.

I appreciate it brother. I respect how you conduct yourself when you discuss differences of opinion/belief... It's refreshing to hear someone articulate why they are for or against something. You're a breath of fresh air.

I don't know if the wisdom you wrote came from you or the voices... either way, you're a very intelligent young woman. There's hope in our youth yet! :p

oooooooh...flattery.....the closest relative to lying! Gotta love it! Lot's of scripture on flattery. You should go bone up on it there smoke! The fact that mans heart is so deceitful makes it so easy for the seasoned to spot it. One of my favorite subjects....aside from the evils of santa of course.

Over 2000 years later & still straining at gnats while swallowing camels..... There's nothing new under the sun.

The only real difference in the last days is the camels are as big as whales.

well the only voice that brings be wisdom is the Lord and the Holy Spirit. After dealing with a lot of different people from different religions, that became one of my favorite sayings lol :p
Thanks for the compliment brother I appreciate it ... Tho if I were you I wouldnt put too much hope in the youth nowadays.. I am very much in the minority

hmm sounds like smoked ribs to me. You know me well brother, no attempt of flatter or brownnose me hehe
C'mon now though, your awesome too. Lets make peace here. We all have (so far as I have seen) compleeeeetely different viewpoints and calling each other names (not speaking about your post/-s specifically) wont help the deal.

Which now Smoke and all. Judging someone according to another's revelation or whatever is not on us to do. In the end we know nothing. Calling people demonic, or anything else or worse ,on such controversial subject with many very well explained pros and cons on BOTH sides, is just carrying a cup of water to the ocean.
Now also.. Two wrongs dont make one right. And its sad that I am saying this as I am well known as the ''Anti Christmas tree dogmatic'' lol

Now that was my two pents. And I am not trying to make anyone mad. I like everyone that has come in here so far tho there are some people I do not know well yet, but so far Im not gonna complain lol.
Now folks God bless you and keep you ((hugs))

Just proving the point that if a person wants to make scripture black and white it can get ugly for them too....and in a real hurry.

Okay im just gonna accept that. what gray zone do you believe there is? Im not trying to grill you I just want to see what you believe because honestly, I cant comprehend that. For me when I see Jesus I dont see him compromising anywhere. He never pointed out a gray zone that I know of.

With some of the excellent displays of character and wisdom from a few of the members of this site I would say that there is definitely hope for the youth. I agree with your assessment.

Lots of examples...the woman at the well. But it's a little more than just compromising on stuff. Life is fluid and different circumstances can require actions that insult the sensibilities of the overly religious. Jesus did that all the time.

Ah... the counter-sensibilities and reality that help keep us from becoming Legalists.

Sirk I just went and read that whole story and have no idea what you mean yet.
Well Jesus stepped up against man made laws because they are void and also he went against lawlessness. Jesus did not compromise so far as I can see. He said it the way it is. Him to get to the father or nothing, life or death,...
Even when the woman came who committed adultery, he did not just say ''your forgiven and go'' he said go and sin no more. He didnt leave any room for her to go back to her lover tho she could have just been forgiven and done and go back again.

she was guilty wasn't she? Yet Jesus defended her. If God is so black and white he should have struck her dead.

Because he freed us from death and forgave her. Stone age over and with that the other cruel punishments too. So yes she was guilty but forgiven and told ''sin no more'' but I guess we can just agree to disagree on the gray thing. Let me keep my head and you keep yours

What the woman did (adultery) is black. There is no gray for sin. Adultery, bearing false witness, etc... Christ's compassion isn't what we are talking about when saying "black or white". Christ has showed us His compassion by sacrificing Himself so that we can be made clean again. Sacrificing is no longer needed as He was the ultimate sacrifice.

Demi hits it right on the head when she says that Christs commands her to go and sin no more. He isn't defending her actions, He forgives the blackness (sin) when we exercise the atonement. Thank God for the atonement.
