Calvinism - Another Heresy

Yep. I love that verse. It just proves what I said. Those in Christ are predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son. That's a future thing. Who has been predestined?...those in Christ. How do you get in Christ?...believe on the gospel of Jesus Christ.

My destination is now predetermined now that I am in Christ. My destination is to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. Scripture calls this the adoption. It's the final destination of the believer. It's a future thing. God knows ahead of time those who are His? How? By the Seal of the Holy Spirit He has placed within the believer guaranteeing the believer that he or she will be adopted, conformed to the image of His Son.

Yup! Now I see how you can so easily call others heretic. You simply won't deal with the reality of God's sovereignty and word.

(I also get a kick out of how "cranky" you got about how "cranky" we are. lol)

We'd be fatalists, if God would give us his list of whom he elected. Until that time, we do stick with preaching the gospel in hope that the person is an elect too.

That is your interpolation. Nothing whatsoever that I have said or intimated. Please don't rope me in to your heresy.

If you preach the gospel to someone who is not elect, by your view, would you be lying to them? Would you be giving them false hope? Because there is no way for them to be saved but you'd be preaching to them as if Jesus is the way of salvation for them...just a thought.

Why don't calvinist preachers just tell their audience the truth? "Hey guys, Jesus Christ is the way of salvation but not all of you will receive His gift. Some of you have been predetermined by God to go to hell, sorry. Live with it."

it is called fatalism because in reality, nothign matters, it has all been predetermined. In your view, whether you preach anyone the gospel or not. They would come to Christ And those chosen for hell, it does not matter if you teach them or not. They are headed to hell.

Fatalism says people have no choice, they future is determined,, Free will is a non factor. because we have no free will

I have to say, I'm genuinely confused on this issue. I know that God is not willing that any should perish, and that WHOEVER chooses to believe, is saved, but to try and square this with the fact that God is sovereign, and may mold HIS clay (us) any way He chooses, is above my pay grade and complete understanding.

In the final analysis I trust Him, and that's good enough for me.

how did the lamb, get his list, in revelation.
would be part of the mystery of a personal walk,a saviour and god.

ie ask , seek and knock.
ie pray and read your bible, and grow in faith. (your own personal faith)etc
 
to ask calvin what he did with his free will, or why he did with his army.
would come under a personal answer , that only he could give.

a wild goose chase if you ask me, to the topic of the forum. (to keep it short)

I would say God does not have rights but does have responsibilities to work out His plans.
 
Was Adam predestined in the garden? Why would God create a race of people that God knew would fall?
