Christmas time is celebrated as the birthday of our Lord. In fact it is not! But it is a time when people have thoughts of and talk about him and in this way it is good.

When we worship our Lord Jesus give him ALL the honor and glory to him. If you claim you have a part in your salvation
in any way, your are taking from the perfect work our Lord has done. HE chooses our inheritance for us and this, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Psalm 47. So many people read Romans 9:13 and try to change the meaning, but it's clear when it says Jacob have I loved but E-sau have I hated. Gods chosen people are so thankful that the Lord loved Jacob and his people and has chosen our inheritance for us and loves his people with pure love. To be included in this number is more precious than anything else and when he give you his spirit we love to say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy. Psalm 107:2

So worship the Lord in Spirit and truth with understanding as we come to Christmas time. God is king of all the earth and reigns over the heathen as well as his elected blood bought children. Sing praises to God, sing praises to unto our King, sing praises with understanding not only at Christmas time but all year long.

Our Lord and king is Jesus Christ the ruling exalted Savior. So this Christmas and every day, tell others if he has included you and give all credit to him for his wonderful salvation plan. May God bless you as only he can and that thru his son, our Savior and King Jesus Christ the Lord of hosts.

i am tempted to say thats very Calvinist of you, and what you posted :), but alas i dont want this thread to diverge into one of those threads if you know what i mean. hehe

So its suffice to say from one Calvinist to another or infinitely better yet from one Christian to another.... have a very merry Christmas brother and good tidings in our Lord for the new year ahead.

Christmas- Christ-mas Christ of course being what we all know but mas as in mass is a very large group of people gathering for the same cause.

So the word Christmas speaks for itself what it's about :)

What is a Calvinist? I belong to Christ the Lord and that is a most precious and wonderful thing
HAHAHAHA oh boy i am certainly encouraged. oh calvinists? Theyre those weird people that are often labelled as heretics or followers of men or traditionalists or systematic arrogant and self righteous types. Pretty much westboro baptist ... hehe

I take it you consider to be a Calvin type person. I consider myself to be a child of God saved by Christ Jesus and him crucified.

I never really liked labels. Are you a Christian, a Baptist or Methodist, or maybe a jw or any one of numerous labels. All this means Zero if you don't belong to him by his Mercy and Grace. Praise the Lord from beginning to end. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait on the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:24
Rest in him brother and be at peace with yourself and all men. Christ is in control of all things. Be thankful and happy that he will never fail. He is Lord and King of all.
