Another thing that happened acidently..hehehe
I wanted to make some pizza home made for the first time. Now I thought I was using flour but in real time it was white plaster powder. Mom didnt put any note or anything on it..now the next thing I knew .. I had the grossest most uneatable pizza ever.. I threw it away. that was SOO gross
Couldn't use it for a door stop?

Hubby's (John) stepfather lost his sense of smell in the war. (WWII.) When hubby was little (1950's), every family had a can of used Crisco (vegetable based lard) on a shelf for frying. But, lots of Crisco cans, so it was also often used in at men's work benches to store stuff.

His mom was out to mass early one Sunday, so Dad got nice and made breakfast. (I don't remember if it was French Toast or pancakes.) Something stunk. Little Johnny and his older brother were complaining about the smell, but Dad made them breakfast and they WOULD eat it!

Mom came home from mass and yelled at him while she opened up the windows. It wasn't grease. It was turpentine. If she hadn't come home, they would have had to eat it.

Two stories:
1. When I was in grade school Mom got up late and went to bed late. You never ever wanted to be around her before her first cup of coffee, and her coffee cup is (I have it now) the size of a cereal bowl.

So she woke up after we left for school. One morning I left her spoon in the sugar bowl but put salt on it. I thought it was funny. She did not. I feel guilty about that to this day.

2. John and I went out to an Italian place with his older brother and family. "Family" includes three kids, including his oldest son who was about 14 that day.

Italian bread with butter is served with dinner. We adults were talking and hubby and I watched that nephew take the bread and lick the butter off it, then squished it into the spaghetti sauce. A minute later, his dad asked him if he had eaten any of that piece of bread, and he shook his head. After Dad ate it, the son added, "But I licked the butter off."

We're all cracking up. Dad didn't believe him until he saw John and I nodding our heads. lol

I used to have a teacher in highschool who would always flirt with the girl students, one day i thought it would be funny to put thumb tacks on his chair when he wasn't looking....I tell you when that man sat down.. I kid you not, he didn't flinch, wince, jump or even move... he just glared at the entire class for a good 3 minutes looking to see who did it*still while seated on tacks*, then he went outside, closed the door behind him and came back in again (guess he was pulling the tacks out of his butt) ... That probably was the hardest i ever had to not laugh but my eyes were watering so much from trying so hard.
