This whole sudden and overt treatment of Russia as an enemy has to be one of the most singularly feckless foreign policy decisions in American history.

"Speak belligerently and carry a stick you may or may not use on a whim" has to be the height of idiocy. It also reeks of political butthurt.

He sounds really determined to make some huge mess of things in his last few days.

He is intent of national embarrassment. I wouldn't go so far as to say "traitor" but he clearly cares little for the image of our country as a power on the world stage.

He's neither a patriot nor a statesman. Just another political hack who climbed and climbed.

I want to respect the institution. But when George III seems consistent and sane by comparison, I am overtaken by the urge put our national leader in the stocks and toss rotten vegetables at him.

This is the case regardless of party affiliation.

So far... even the House Intelligence Committee has not been given any proof of these hacking allegations.

And during today's event, the White House STILL did not release any actual proof, but rather said they will “be providing a report to Congress in the coming days.."



So far... Congress hasn't seen any actual proof, and the White House just admitted they haven't released any actual proof.


I guess we just wait and see.

wait Obama still has 23 days left as president? I thought trump was now how could Obama have any kind of power at all?

Heres my unfound paranoia again but do you think this could mean nuclear war? Im thinking not so much because Trump will probably undo most of it anyway.

Nah. I strongly doubt a shot will be fired in the midst of all of this.

Obama's goals are invariably domestic and highly political. If he does something abroad at this point, I would wager it is done to kick the hornet's nest at home.

Not nuclear. It's got to be much bigger than this for nuclear. And, I am hoping Putin is going to hold out to see what the next Pres does. I also see him as the type of guy who will get even somehow.

All the House and Senate need to do is view this whole thing with composure. Not fly off the handle at Russia or Obama immediately.

If I were a Senator, I wouldn't come across as immediately and inordinately skeptical. I'd give whatever information Obama presents a fair hearing. If Russia caused some sort of national embarrassment, we will act accordingly. If they did not, then we will continue our conciliatory stance established by Obama himself early on in this administration, consistency being important.

In either case, action shouldn't be rash. Truth should take time to service...perhaps a month or two. :p

I'd impeach him. He keeps coming up with these kinds of things like a dictator, forgetting Congress even exists. (Hubby just told me he also decreed that anyone who has ever been on SSI cannot buy a gun because they are mentally deficient. Hey, we got SSI because we were flat broke due to health issues. Anyone I know on SSI are on it because they are physically disabled. I still don't want a gun, but don't call anyone on SSI or ever on SSI mentally deficient. And stop killing the 2nd amendment!)

Why would a President, while closing the door behind him, do such a thing? To give the next president a flying start? Probably not. So then why? We have to see the connection between this and the Secretary of State's speech where he's slamming Israel. Clearly the president is trying to direct the next president into a geopolitical quagmire by doing this. His intention most likely is to leave no room for Trumps own politics, but have him tied up in disasters and catastrophes created by #44. Cunning, but will it work? The next days will give us a tentative answer.

I doubt there will be a nuclear war.



And if there is, it's no big deal,

we'll just be hanging with Jesus...

and think how much time we'll have to debate Calvinism and spiritual gifts!
