Nope -- that joke is based on the silly suggestion that misdirected people make about falling off of the edge of the earth. The intent of the humor is based on the visual nature of the relative positions of the boat and the water to the picture frame. It was not intended to have any particular or specific relevance to any factual information such as that which pertains to the ice wall.
You seem to think that I have no sense of humor whatsoever...???

It doesn't take a million dollars to see plenty of evidence for a Flat Earth, either --- if you are open to seeing it...
Miri, honey - you are missing the point of the thread -- which is - proving the Earth to be spherical or flat - only using experiments that "every-day" people could conduct on their own - without simply trusting what NASA and other government-based organizations are putting forth.

On youtube this one guy put out a video to show how the earth can be flat and the sun still appear like it is coming over the horizon,so he used a table and went across it with a coin,and a light,and ta da,to make it appear as if it was coming over the horizon.
But it was funny because he went along the surface of the table in the video,when the sun is not going across the surface of the earth,but they say it is like 3000 miles above earth.
Which another thing,if the sun is like 3000 miles above earth it would appear like you could see it at all times,where it might be dark in your area,but you should still be able to see it's light in the distance,like someone can see a match or flashlight,or another form of light in the distance,especially if you were close to the middle of the earth,you be able to see the sun at all times,and if you cannot see it at all times,it would not appear like it would be dark for so long without seeing it.
The sun is that high up in the air,and we do not see it for like 12 hours at a time.It would appear like we could see it,and it would appear like it is coming more straight ahead for quite a distance instead of coming over the horizon.
Only wondering,for I fail to believe that if the sun is that high up in the air why we cannot see it for such a long time,especially those that are towards the middle where they have less miles on either side of them.
I believe if the sun is that high up I would see the light possibly at all times,although it would not light up the area I am at yet,especially if it is like 4 in the morning we should be able to see the light coming.

Because much of the "evidences of proof" for both 'Ball Earth' and 'Flat Earth' have a counterpart equivalent in the other model, the "real proof" in determining which model more closely represents the true nature of the world we live in rests in reasoning those things that are "different" in each model. Included in these things are other aspects to the issue than the 'scientific' consideration of the 'physical' nature of the world we live in.

These are the things you should make serious study of if you want to determine the truth about the nature of the world we live in.
One of those things is Antarctica ( Richard Byrd expeditions, 50,000-60,000 mile "circumnavigation", etc. ). Look it up. Study it.

You just need to obtain a better understanding of 'Flat Earth' physics...
Research 'perspective' ( how everything "grows smaller" with distance, and then "disappears" at the horizon ). We can only see "so far" before things disappear from sight...

If the earth is flat how does it rotate? Sunrise and set? Seasons? Equator be the hottest point? Moon works how?
Good point. A site funded by the government, democratically elected to increase the knowledge

It is interesting looking at the distance around the earth a geostationary satellite needs to take
is 35k km from earth. At this point it stays over the same point on the surface as it rotates in
orbit around the planet. Now to calculate and get a physical object to the point, that drives gps
you have to spend enormous sums of money, build models and keep things running.
Now all these models are proven true because GPS works and the satellites stay in position.
Now if the earth was flat, this would not be possible.
Now on my phone I can get 7 of these satellites up and their positions. Odd that.

got things into space, so if anyone would know it was fake they would.
You can even now see the foot prints on the moon, and bounce a signal off the moon
to measure how far away it is from earth very accurately.

As a person who regularly spends time on forums catering to what is affectionately referred to as the "lunatic fringe", I will testify that people holding a belief in a flat Earth are the least to be concerned about. Flat-Earthers are mostly a harmless bunch. It's the gaggle of folks that talk about Nibiru/Planet-X as well as the group that are convinced world leaders are reptilian shape-shifters that you need to worry about. Loony-tunes.

The Earth does not rotate; it is stationary, like the Bible says. The sun, moon, and stars move in a clockwise circular pattern above. The seasons are based on the pattern of the sun. Same answer for equator question. Last question already answered.
