Legalism makes legalst hunters.
If people would stop trying to say SALVATION is dependent on works, And rely on CHRIST and HIM ALONE, there would be no need for legalist hunters.
Paul was one of the greatest legalist hunters in church history.
I've already posted this twice, but here goes again....
People who are supporters of ongoing sin often quote Romans 7 and 1 John 1:8 without looking at the context before and after. John was not saying we will still continue to keep on sinning and remain in sin while being in Christ, just look at what John says about having fellowship with the Father and the Son...
1 John 1
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

It is important to note that John was speaking to those whom he wanted to also have fellowship with him in God the Father and the Son. Also note to have fellowship with God you could not remain in the darkness, as being in sin is also being in darkness.
So John was simply saying that all have sinned, which is confirmed in other parts of scripture. But John was not saying that you will always be in sin and keep on sinning, which is being in darkness. Because if you remained in sin you could not have fellowship with the Father and the Son, in whom is no darkness at all. Hope that clears up your misconception.
True it is quite a common practice to cherry pick verses when in fact to truly understand each verse we must cross reference it with all other parts of the bible. But there was no misconception on my part though if there is a misconception on my part it would be that I truly understand the word when it speaks of this as this is not true because like the earths crust or an onion the bible has many many layers and I have barley been able to five into several of them.
However it appears that you as well have much to learn as you are very keen on using bible verses to prove yourself right and this is why you are in error you try to use verses you do not yet understand and while you are skilled in making them appear to fit your view and appear to prove your point there is a fatal flaw in you tactics and that is your understanding and views of what they say are not set upon what God himself reveals but rather are set on what you already think and believe and this si why the scriptures fail you.
If one has a heart for the scriptures and understands them and has a heart that is truly connected to fathers the scriptures hold vast power and can melt a frozen heart they can empower a weak and wounded soldier and they can break through the bed rock of a persons agenda the scriptures are not something to be taken lightly and you would wise to consider how you use them. You make it a point to continue to preach your agenda and use the scriptures thinking they will give your point more validation but is it not odd to you that even with all the scriptures you used they have had no power over anyones heart?
You could easily say the reason for this is because we are blind and refuse to accept the truth but what if this is not the case? you stand nearly alone in your voiced words spoken yet many of us in this thread having one in accord speaking the same thing all standing firm in what we believe is truth and the scriptures speak of this Philippians 2 1Therefore if you have any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being of one mind, having the same love, being united in spirit and purpose.

The problem I have with the supporters of HG while condemning the rest, they do not
appear to have properly embrace the gospel to start with and are emotionally truncated.
It shows when anger rises up for no apparent reason, and the sin involved is just expected
as if this is normal spiritual behaviour.
For me being called a liar etc. just confirms it is merely an emotional distortion and compromise
and not related to believing on Christ and walking in love though it has similar words, it is some
salvation from legalism, where legalism is the true source of sin and evil.

For example, it is true that Christians have been forgiven by God. But that doesn’t mean we never have to confess our sin. James 5:16 says, “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” If we are to confess our sins to each other, why would we not need to confess them to God, since every sin is ultimately a sin against God (Psalm 51:4)?
Also, 1 John 1:9 gives clear instruction to believers about confessing sin. It begins with the word if: “If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” This is a cause/effect statement implying that we cannot have the second without the first. As blood-bought children of God, we do not continue to confess our sin in order to be saved from hell. We confess and repent in order to reestablish an intimate relationship with our Father. We are “positionally righteous” but “practically sinful.”
To counter this argument, hyper-grace preachers deny that John’s letters were written to believers. However, 1 John 2:1 begins with this: “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” John is clearly writing to believers whom he personally knew. He indicates that his believing friends may indeed sin, and that, when they do, they need to confess it.
Hyper-grace preachers also claim the Holy Spirit will never convict Christians of their sin. Mature Christians should recognize this fallacy right away. This emotional compromise and distortion you speak of is a common thing regardless of the persons beliefs but as for hp not properly embracing the gospel to begin with is a pretty big assumption as we cannot group together people simply because of a doctrine they hold that would imply we know their hearts and their relationship with God.
This is the power doctrine has it separates and divides the body of Christ making the right arm attack the left and the left leg goes right while the right leg goes left and everyone on all sides are called liars hypocrites and hell bound and anger arises from all sides scriptures are thrown at each other like weapons and God's love is as scarce as water in a desert.
It is for this reason I look to the heart not the doctrine I can never decide a persons stance in his kingdom based upon if his doctrine opposes mine or not that is not what love is and is not how love sees. The issue of course is that in our own minds we are right are doctrine is the truth and is solid while others that oppose it are not this mindset is dangerous and is the main cause of the war within the body.
Who am I to believe that my doctrine is the absolute truth when I barely know and understand the heart of God? Am I so arrogant that I am unable to admit I was perhaps wrong and learn from others even my enemies? Even isit while having been opposed much and is incorrect in several ways in my eyes is not unsaved or hell bound and is not my enemy even though our views oppose each other like fire and water because I am not looking at the doctrine he holds to know his stance in God's kingdom and heart.
However many within the body do just that without even realizing it

It seem to me in my daily dealing with people, both lost and saved, in the world and on CC, that their definition of sin is much more narrow than the Scripture and mine definition.
They simply do not see the sin in their life, and when we admit sin, they only think of lying, stealing, adultery etc.
There is much more to failing God/sinning than most believe.

Yes, no one advocates believers living in ongoing sin as being acceptable. Free grace theology, however, does.
