My advice about G7 - pompous

A child molester analogy. Really. Boy you are upset, but cannot let it out.
I suggest you vent before you explode, lol

I suspect after so many years of repression and control all we see is the machine
without the heart that drives it...
...this is unbelievable, now comparing others to a child molester. Wonder why these guys get defended (and those of this camp were defended) wonder why they aren't called out, while using Scripture as an observation is called out. And, you know, for 'being a newbie'. Sad, but LOL!!!!!!!! :)

Its easier to accuse and self dilute so they can feel free to keep on keeping on... Truth is plain.. Folks who enjoy what they do, shift gaze so it's off them.. to their misfortune alone does it happen.. God upholds ALL of His word.. if not, He ceases to be what He said
Yes this is a discussion forum, that is a Bible discussion forum. But somehow my threads end up being about what others think of me instead; as you just called me a fake liar. (based on what?) Truth is you guys cannot argue against the Truths I've shown in the words of God so being unable to refute the Truth you do what you do best; and that is to pack attack the poster, make false accusations, bear false witness, call names, make smart comments, and try to prop up the usual straw man in order to try to discredit the messenger, but without even addressing the multitudes of scriptures by which I confirm the Truth.

So unless you can prove the words of God wrong which I preach, perhaps it's best just to bite your lip. :)
am I sinless, nope. Do I strive to be, yep.. BC the word says it's possible.. making excuses doesn't allow for proper understanding so I don't do it..

yes it is... unbelievable

don't know why it is even allowed

he has been reported most likely more than anyone else in these forums

he states the most egregious lies about others and twists what is said with the finesse of an award winning pretzel

better people than I have tried to be civil and understand...sooner rather than later, he turns and rends them

don't know why he is not stopped by those who could do so

Wondering if I'll be called out for making an observation of Matthew 7:1-6 on these types? It certainly is applicable. So is Luke 18:9-14. If people can't handle that I don't know what to tell them and won't apologize for being Biblical in my observations. :)

1 John 2:1 alone destroys your whole belief system.

"I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous."

Notice what it doesn't say. It doesn't say that if we sin we are not really Christians, and it doesn't say that if we sin God rejects us and takes back our salvation. It says that we have an Advocate with the Father if we sin. Of course neither we or God wants us to sin, but if we do, Gods got it covered.

I agree...this principle can also be seen in Paul talking with the Corinthians.

The Holy Spirit knew what He was doing when He had Paul write 1 Corinthians.

Some of them were going to temple prostitutes for sex, they were taking each other to court, they were in divisions and strife, they were not treating the poor amongst them right...etc.

Paul was saying that those in Corinth were acting like mere men and men of flesh - in other words not being spiritually minded.

1 Corinthians 3:1-4 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]
I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able,

[SUP]3 [/SUP]
for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?

[SUP]4 [/SUP] For when one says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are you not mere men?

I noticed that in verse 1 Paul says that they are "babes in Christ".

- not that you are going to hell because you are sinning.
Or that because they were sinning - that they are not born of God.

Just for clarification - no one is saying any type of sinning is ok - all sinning brings destruction from those that create strife, insult and exhibit malice and slander others in the body of Christ or those that live a homosexual lifestyle. All this "sinning" is in the same lists together as works of the flesh.

the rest of us already understand

he will just mark you as someone to constantly attack every chance given which is why many have him on ignore

but you know, do what you think is best

the spirit in those posts is not God...as I am sure you know...so, address it in prayer

The irony is that it is the flesh that fools us into thinking that our sinful fleshly pursuits are spiritual, blinding us to our own sin.

Not interacting with these types that continue to insult others is to me the only recourse in this environment where there are no elders to address the bad behavior so that others don't get defiled by it.

When we see "fruits of repentance" then we can safely engage them again - in the meantime we need to protect our hearts and in doing so - it helps to protect the others too.

We can agree to disagree in some areas too but we can do it in an attitude of respect for others and not insult others while discussing what we believe the scriptures are saying.

Hebrews 12:15 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God;
that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;

I agree, however, to my knowledge there haven't been any responses to my replies.

I give up. Everyone continue to focus on whatever is unlovely and not good if that's the way you want to go. Continue on. I have to leave because I can't cry anymore. All cried out here. I am increasingly spending longer amounts of time away from here and then shorter and shorter times here when I actually do come back in. Let's just rewrite the verse to say, whatever is unlovely and not good and not commendable or virtuous, these are the things we should focus on. It's heartbreaking.

Wow these discussions get way off track and seem to become battles. Is this really the responses that bring honor and glory to God? Anyway, this is my take on the original topic:

first of all God is able. He is perfectly able to keep us from sinning if that be his will. If he controlled us though he would only have a bunch of little robots who he programmed to love him. He wants us to choose him instead of sin!!

The bible says (as we all know) that "all have sinned" therefore all of us HAVE sinned (even if only once in our lives), and probably still do (I really doubt that anyone could possibly never sin again after becoming a Christian).

Even if we do occasionally sin (which we probably will over our lifetimes), "we have an advocate with the father - Jesus Christ" 1 John 2:1

I believe that we should strive to not sin as a response for the love that Christ showed us.

I believe that we are either IN sin or IN Christ, and we are IN Christ when we obey the commands of God.

We are all sinless as Christians in the sight of the Father BECAUSE of what Christ did for us.

I hope everyone is doing well

The easy way to spot a false grace message

A Tree and Its Fruit

MAT 7: 15“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16“You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn
bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17“So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18“A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20“So then, you will know them by their fruits.

We might think we see mixed fruit sometimes, but I believe this is the one place where the majority rules.

Since good & bad seem to be present, we should look at another scripture:

1 Corinthians 5:6Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough? 7Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. 8Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

So, in the end we see that if absolute bad fruit is discovered, the entire is bad, for it has been tainted, or poisoned.

Good sounding words, with a discovered discriminatory slant, is all evil. Don't be fooled by imitations.

That's just your inflated ego talking. 1 John 2:1 alone destroys your whole belief system.

"I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous."
How does it destroy my belief system when I believe every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God? Again you guys make baseless assumptions on what I believe. I never said it was not possible for one to sin, as a matter of fact I have stated several times that it is not only possible, but that many would also fall away from the faith as is also written.

My point in this thread is to confirm the Truth as Jesus and the apostles also preached. That it is possible to be made free from sin by God, if it were not so, Jesus and the apostles would have never said as much in so many verses of scripture. I agree with the words of God, how bout you?

1 John 2:1-6

2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked."

Did Jesus walk in sin or in righteousness? You know the answer.

By the way, thanks for at least posting a verse of scripture. :)

a person is a thief. the thief comes to Christ. afterwards, the person steals again. then they get convicted, get on their knees, confess, repent, ask for forgiveness. then they return what stole, confess and ask the person to forgive them.

if this were to happen, would the person be forgiven by God after committing a willful, deliberate sin? my answer is yes.
we will see what ( if ) inspritintruth has to say, based on his personal theology.
