I've been nominated for an amazing opportunity that has to do with academics. It would be soooo wonderful to be able to do it, and would look amazing on my record,
But, one set back already is the cost we would have to pay.

I am requesting prayers that this works out,
And if it doesn't,
Well God has a plan that I may not understand yet :)

I will do what is needed, and if that is something that I think I should do in the near future, maybe I will, maybe I won't need to. I don't know

How much time do you have? Are you the type of person who would get all kinds of embarrassed if you became a story in your local paper? And, if not, do you have a local paper? Is it weekly or daily? Is it big or small?

What I'm really asking you is if you are willing, and if I have the time (before you need the money to go), to write you up a personal interest story for your local paper?

I'd have to be able to take a look at your local paper, I'd have to interview you for the piece, and I'm 40 years worth of rusty on writing newspaper articles, but what do you think I mean when I mention I have a degree in Communications? I'm saying I can write newspaper articles.

I'm also warning you, if the paper takes it, or, at least shows an interest in the story, they're also going to want a picture of you. (They may go with my story, but it is more than likely they'd send a reporter for another interview.)

Would a piece in your local paper help fund you?
