Righteousness is righteousness. There is only one kind as far as God is concerned and that is the righteousness of God by grace through faith in what Christ has done.

There are "deeds of righteousness" but those do not produce righteousness - they are the fruit of being righteous and having the Spirit of God manifesting Christ's life in and through us.

I believe if we get this wrong - we can create a works-based religion no matter how much lip service we give to "saved by grace through faith".

saying that one has to keep the Mosaic Law to be saved is wrong. Jamie j is a nice man, usually respectful, but he is in error in his Hebrew roots system. pointing this out is not wrong.
JJ is supporting the law of Christ not the law of Moses. If one supported the law of Moses
one is saying you must be a Jew, which he has never said.

So you are not being fair to him even in this summary. And if you cannot be fair to your
opponent, why should anyone take anything you share seriously, it is just bias and propoganda.

What do you mean? I have always said we are saved through faith in Christ Jesus.
I am not a works salvationist, and I will not attack people for being moral, just look for
the emotional reality in their lives. This is what Jesus did the pharisees. Being good is
from God, but without a pure heart you will always defile oneself.
You feel you're being attacked for being moral? That's funny; people who trust Jesus completely are constantly being maligned by you and your ilk for not being obedient to God.

now wait, he will attack you for being opposed to obedience.
Spot on accurate, bro. He's going to be sorely upset to see that we who place 100% trust in the completed work of Jesus have our names written in the Book of Life.

It would behoove you, and all of us, to scrutinize our words before posting; that is scrutinize to determine as to the possibility of the words being understood in any other manner than one....

If I misunderstood, it seems quite understandable with your phraseology. I apologize if this is the case.

I only state fact. Everyone in this thread in fact everyone in this chat room that I know would not teach AGAINST the things you tried to post. or against obedience to Gods word.

So who are you preaching to?

Because he implied people on CC are calling to be disobedient to God. What don't you understand about that? Where am I saying we should be lawless? You're out of your %^&* skull if you think that's what I've ever implied.
I know some contributors well enough to know some are calling people to be disobedient
to God.

Everyone who says they do not need to repent of sin, no matter their spiritual position
are being disobedient to God. If Jesus says we have to love our enemies, to be just
as loving to our enemies as the Father is, and they say this is impossible are in disobedience
to Gods word.

If confessing sin, admitting to sinful behaviour is wrong, and asking for forgiveness and healing
is wrong, this is disobedience to Gods word.
If praying the Lords prayer is wrong, this is disobedience to Gods word.

These are all things I have seen testified to on cc. So the statement is true, people do share
against Gods word.

So I 100% agree with JJ. But if you represent the group who preach this kind of stuff, then
ofcourse you believe you are following God and His word. But are you doing this or are you
just going with the flow?

I don’t really know how to explain this, but I’ll try. The teachings of grace that I have found on this site has really helped me to grow since I started following this site. I was blinded for many years because of my teachings of work, work, work for salvation. My focus wasn’t really on what Jesus had already done for me to save me, but on what I needed to do for him to be and remain saved.

I was making his cross of no effect and trying to do it on my own. When I messed up I would get so discouraged and think there is no way that I can ever make it because I’m just not good enough. So thank God that I came on this site and began to hear the preaching of Grace.

I started focusing on his grace, mercy, and abiding in his forgiveness, and it was like a light came on. I found great peace in trusting and depending on Jesus and his grace. Trusting in grace didn’t make me want to sin, sin, sin or just do whatever I wanted. It was just the opposite…It actually freed me from sin in that I don’t focus all of my attention on sin and how much good I need to do to be worthy of salvation.

I can now focus on Jesus and his grace and that he has already broke the chains of sin. In doing so, I have found that I am able to come through trials and temptations much easier now because it is not me that is working but Jesus’ grace is working for me and through me. I am secure in Jesus. I have begun to see real fruit in my life since I stood back and gave it all to Jesus and started letting his grace do the work.

It is a double standard.

It is ok for them to call us out to be obedient, yet it is not ok for us to call then out to be obedient. (which is basically what we are doing when we re calling them out for false accusations.

It never ends. It's like he has to cling to those lies or else he has just spent the last year judging and condemning innocent people and arguing with himself over a straw-man of his own making. But his pride would never allow him to even see that, let alone admit it. It’s unfortunate that there are some misguided here who give him just enough encouragement to continue in his delusions.

ok..

WHo here does not say we do not need to repent of sin.

Either start naming names, Or you will be reported for slander ( you know who you are)

As I said before, I am sick of this, and am going to just start reporting it from now on,,

time to start holding them accountable. if they can not name names, time to report this nonsense. It is the only way we can be free of it.

Utah - Do you understand the difference between saints attacking others for standing for
righteousness and sinners falsely accusing saints of sins they have not committed.

And we are not maligning people, we are sharing what you actually believe.
I did not have weeks of threads going through how you can sin and be forgiven while sinning and this
is ok, without going "what" "you are not serious"

So it is hard to malign people with their own theology. What one contributor said was they hated
not the repeating of the theology, but it being put in a bad light. Now that is dumb, because if it
is actually evil and wrong, ofcourse it will be in a bad light, because sin is sin.

And you cannot malign people with confessed sin which they confess they commit and do not
repent of or deal with. That is rebellion against God and staying in willful sin. I have no problem
with drug addicts working with their addiction, not people totally compromised and denying
God wants change and love to break out. This is just bringing the gospel into disrepute.

We are called to expel unrepentant people in obvious sinful behaviour from our fellowships.
But maybe people are so worldly they do not know Gods word or Jesus at all.

Well said...I too experienced the very same thing...a light came on inside my heart and I fell in love with the Lord as I saw what He has done for us and what the gospel of the grace of God in Christ really is.

I could never go back to a religion that denies the work of Christ and that we live by grace through faith in what Christ has done already.

Religion is a very poor substitute for knowing Christ and our loving Father.

God told me all will be just fine the instant His Holy Spirit entered into me. I believe Him, but I do have need of Jesus Christ every instant of every day to be my Mediator for my sin.

I do not sin as a habit, and I always do the big things that the Master asks us to do. Were I to share all I have forgiven, all I have given, and all I have laid aside it would bring anyone with love to tears, joyous and pained.

Having confessed this, never think anyone who vies to be an obedient child of God is thinking he or she is earning a thing except perhaps reward in heaven.........

Whae I share the words of teh New TEstament teaching us to be obedient children it is ony becaue the New Testament teaches obedience. None has anything to do with salvation or grace, it has to do with good conduct according to God's will. It is all taught by Jesus Christ in the Gospel, His Gospel, the Only Gospel.

God bless all who are working God's gifts of work to do them all for His glory, amen.

I call your attention to the red highlighted part of your post. We are NOT saved through faith. We are saved BY GRACE, THROUGH faith. Just thought I'd call your attention to the omission of "by grace". :)
