i put God first in every area of my life. If i didn't then satan would have a way to get in.
If a person has the Full Armor of God on, then satan will not be able to get in. But if you are missing some of those armor pieces, then satan will get in through that area that is not protected. With this generation, Christians are wearing a lot of the armor, but the piece that protects the groan area is missing altogether. This is why there are so many who look at porn, who cheat, who fornicate, who lusts. The groan are has no armor for protection from the wiles of satan. Therefore he enters into a person through that area.
So any area that you don't put God first, is the same area satan will enter in and reside.

I put him first in everything, even there when it gets hard. No matter if relationship or working, God is my no. 1 and that will stay that way no matter what.
My Lord does so much for me, you wouldnt believe it. Its almost like I cant go against some things because the thought of that grieve makes me not do it.

just wanted everyone to think about this!
I don't in and of myself, honestly. He works on me a bit at a time to rely on him more and more.
Oh, wretched man that I am...
He drags me kicking and screaming sometimes (in a manner of speaking), but at least I can rely on him to drag me kicking and screaming to where he wants me to be.
Everything? So when you are tempted to commit a sin, which you know is sinful, do you put God first then or yourself by committing the sin?
Please note. i am not accusing you of anything at all. But if you truly put God first in everything, like i do myself, then when you are tempted to commit sin, you will still put Him first above your own self, if in fact you put Him first in EVERYTHING. Praise God if you do this, Though if you do, it is not YOU that does it, but the Spirit of God in you that gives you the Strength and Power to do so.
my flesh is pathetic and wicked and desires evil. But He that is in me, is stronger than any temptation that comes my way, and if you put Him first in EVERYTHING, than you can say the same thing to.

The Apostle Paul said he was a wretched man to, and who can help him? He says Jesus Christ helps him. Therefore when you are tempted to do that which you know full well is sinful, you can also look to Jesus Christ to help you, look to His Strength, look to His Power over satan. And remember with every temptation, Jesus makes sure it is NOT so strong that you can't handle it. and with every single temptation that comes upon you, HE allows a path out of it. Therefore one only need to look for that path, instead of indulging in the sin.

I doubt most people put God first in everything, but its important to consider God first in everything. Its kind of like people who say that "you should live everyday as though it were your last day". I doubt that's really possible. If God took absolute precedence in every aspect of our lives, we wouldn't sin. Having faith in Christ come hell or high water is probably the best we can do. That's my personal pledge, and I guess making it our top priority is putting him first in everything.. jmo

The problem for me, mostly, is that putting God first in everything seems to mean, give up everything, all possessions, all bad people, don't want for anything, give up wealth, have godly goals. Basically live like a monk who preaches. Anyone who says otherwise seems to be making excuses for modern life and fear. Including me.
You are absolutely right in saying if a person puts God first in EVERYTHING they would not sin, i testify this day, that i put God first in EVERYTHING i do, i do all things to please my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. i am His slave, His servant. i do not knowingly or willingly commit any sin against Him, i abhor sin, i hate the very thing that caused my Lord and Savior to be beaten and sacrificed. i hate satan, which is His enemy. i know that if i Truly LOVE Jesus, i would not willingly obey His enemy. When i am tempted, i look to Jesus for His help, His Strength, His Power to overcome all temptations. i am on the narrow and difficult path that leads to life everlasting. IF I CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU!!! Just remember this. There is no sin that you CAN'T cease from, therefore be prepared to answer for yourself, WHY you did not cease from them.
Surely there will be those from this generation who will say this is nothing but self righteousness, pride, arrogant, or whatever else they will come up with, as to justify their not believing it. But of a Truth, what i said is nothing but a testimony to what is TRUE.

What you are saying is absolutely TRUE. The narrow and difficult path that leads to life everlasting is not a very easy life at all. i hate life, would rather die this instant and be with Christ, then to go on one more day in this wretched world that i live in. My flesh is evil and wicked and desires to sin continually, which i hate my flesh because of its evil desires (please note: i do not comply with the desires of my flesh, though my flesh serves sin, it is my mind that serves God and it is my mind that controls what my flesh does.) One who lives a life for God, has lost his/her own life. He that finds his life shall lose it, but he that loses his life shall find it. i am like one sitting on the porch swing, looking down the road for Christ to come, longing for His return, sitting there waiting, and waiting, and waiting. People in the house are partying, they come out and ask me to join them, sex, drugs, all manner of worldly temptations/sins in the house. When i was younger, i would be one standing on the porch looking down the road, now that i am older, i sit on the porch swing still waiting, and waiting.
Those who choose to walk the narrow and difficult path, will not have a life at all, they will only live a life that is pleasing to Jesus Christ, they will do only those things that please the Lord, NOT their own selves. They realize they are bought with a price, and no longer own their own selves. Jesus owns them, these will walk in the light as Jesus walked in the light, and walking in the light in a world of darkness you will be attacked, you will be betrayed, you will be mocked, and made fun of. What fellowship hath light with darkness? If you are light, and the world is darkness the world will hate you, if you are not hated, i would question your walk with Jesus Christ. Prophets were hated and killed. Jesus was hated and killed, most of the Apostles were hated and killed. Jesus Himself said, marvel not if the world hate you, it hated me first. So if the world loves you, you are probably walking the broad and wide path that the whole world seems to be on.
The path that i walk, makes me hate this life, but my life belongs to Him, it is His to do with whatever He see fit, NOT what i see fit. i breathe, eat, and live Jesus Christ, it is the only way to keep satan at bay, if i slip anywhere at all, satan is there to swoop in and get me to fall. So then i do what Scriptures teach. i love God with ALL my heart, with ALL my mind, with ALL my strength, and ALL my soul. if i choose to knowingly commit sin, HOW have i loved Him with ALL my heart, mind, strength, and soul? Woe to this generation who has not realized, that they must give up their LIFE, even as Jesus gave His for you. Stop living your life to please SELF, start living your life to please Jesus.
NO it is not easy, it is very difficult, but the prize for winning that race, is Eternal Life, to reign with Jesus Christ, to be an actual SON OF GOD. But Many will not find, nor choose this path, ONLY a very FEW will find this path and choose to take it for Jesus Christ. Very few indeed.

What has always helped me, is having Him everywhere. i have learned if He is on my thoughts, then sinning is not. Therefore my car has Christian bumper stickers, Cross necklace on the mirror and around my neck. a Jesus ring on my hand the only one i wear. Jesus pictures in every room of my house on most every single wall. Christian Shirts are all i wear, except to work, which i am trying to remedy that as well. my point is, i surround myself with Jesus, to keep my mind and thoughts on Him. i am not ashamed that EVERYONE who sees me, thinks i am a Jesus Freak. And believe it or not, i even look like Jesus as i have been told many times, the avatar i use, that looks like Jesus, can also be an outline of my own face minus the beard. my point is, i do whatever it takes to keep my mind and thoughts on Jesus Christ, and not on what the world has to offer me.

You are absolutely correct, But what people today THINK Jesus looked like, is what people have told me that i look like. Tell me. Do you think the avatar that i chose, looks like Jesus or not? Be honest. Or are you just saying this to try to start something? i say that, because in all that i say above, that is the only thing you comment on. You did not comment if it was good advice or not, but commented on a part you thought was WRONG, how is that not trying to cause strife?

No it absolutely is not my aim to cause strife and I did brief through several posts. Just trying to catch you out - but in a fun non-confrontational way...and yes I love the sketch, it is indeed what we pertain Jesus to look like - if a little too pale JMO
