A New Season
Wintery evenings long since passed,
Darkness and cold give way at last
To shimmering leaves
Upon the trees
And thoughts of tomorrow
Skies filled with birds and bees.
The morning awakens
With nature taking,
A fertile look
In every nook
Sits back and evades
The dingy shades
Of yesterday.
No blanket on the bed
No warmth for a head,
Watch the night recede
And light full speed
Revealing the earth
For all its worth.
God is here....
Always near.
