I believe Ezekiel's temple is the body of Christ where we are pillars and offer up spiritual sacrifices. Ezekiel's temple is actually the fourth tabernacle, the fourth in the bible always points to spiritual things... Shadrack, Meshack and Obednego are the physical but the fourth, Christ is spirit.
I do know that pillars can be symbolized as men of character in the faith, that uphold Gods Word...but how do you come up with Ezekiels temple being the body of Christ, KJV?
The third temple that will be built in the end times is spoken of in Ezekiel, Zechariah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel. I'm probably forgetting one of the prophets that spoke of the third temple.
A thorough description and all the measurements are found in Ezekiel. I would strongly suggest you read it asking the who, what, when, where, why and how as you read.
And yes, there will be sacrifices again. In fact, Gentiles will be celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles with them.Here's what the temple will look like.

I strongly believe that the abomination spoken of in Dan.9:27 and Matt.24:15, is synonymous with "the image" of the beast that the false prophet has the inhabitants of the earth make as described in Rev.13:14-16. I believe that this image is the abomination that is going to be set up on the holy place within the temple.

I have read differently. I have read that the location of the historical 1st and 2nd temple is in a different location, and it has nothing to do with the Dome of the Rock. i.e. there is no structure currently standing in that location. What to belive though?
I believe that there will be a third temple built. I have read that the Temple Institute has begun the process of training a new group of Levite priests and that they have ALL of the holy artifacts in their possession (including the Ark of the Covenant). Again, what to believe? I'll remain skeptical until I see proof with my own eyes.

Yes we do, ........or at least there's no doubt in my mind.
I read Ezekiel and studied it for 3-4 months. Not that I matter much, but I didn't know what I believed until I read and studied Ezekiel.

You are right as to the third temple being built...
here is an article on the what, where the temple is likely to be built.
Below is the 'Conclusion' The article itself is long but informative. I have included the address below just in case you really like to read.
Conclusion:
1. A threshing floor would never have been built at the highest point of a hill where the Dome of the Rock presently sits.
2. Titus tore down the temple in 70 AD. Jesus said not one stone would be left upon another.
3. In 135 AD Hadrian enlarged the temple mount area and filled in dirt about 50 feet of dirt above the temple location
and built a temple to Jupiter. The temple of Jupiter featured a 6 sided (hexagon) building.
4. In 325 AD Constantine tore down Hadrian's temple of Jupiter and built a church on the site with a 8 sided (octagon)
dome, just like we see he did today at the "Church of Mary's Rock" and the "Church of the Nativity" that still stand today.
5. In 685 AD, when the Muslims started to build the Dome of the Rock, it may have been patterned after the octagon of
Constantine's church rather than the hexagon of Hadrian's temple of Jupiter. Either way, the Muslims mistook the
structure that was there for the original Jewish temple and built the Dome of the Rock.
6. But the Dome of the Rock is more likely patterned after Constantine's octagonal church that he built on the temple site.
Perhaps Constantine built this church on what he knew was the place where Jesus was condemned at the fortress of

7. The only place for a threshing floor is in the hollow of the hill, 50 below where the Al Kas fountain presently sits.
Today, the temple mount level is 10-20 meters higher than is was in Jesus' day.

~Okay, I guess I can try it but that book has always been one I avoid. lol So much imagery I don't think I could ever finish it.

********Yes there will be a third temple built----there will be animal sacrifices----It will be built probably at the beginning of the Tribulation----when the anti-christ "confirms the covenant" and there is a peace accord---probably some kind of deal between the Jew and Muslims in regard to the Dome of the Rock----the anti-christ will enter the temple in the middle of the Tribulation and declare he is god (Abomination of Desolation)----from this mid-point the anti-christ is allotted 1260 days until Christ returns----that is why I believe the Rapture is before the Tribulation----no man knows the day or hour----but the 2nd coming we know the exact day...
There will be a third temple.. Not sure when it will be built but it will be standing after the return of Jesus..
Zachariah 14 KJV tells of the Day of the LORD and what will happen after the defeat of the army of the beast.. The people will come up to Jerusalem each year to celebrate the feast of Tabernacles..

I would like to point out that, for Israel, without animal sacrifices, there would be no purpose for the temple. Everything written in the OT regarding the temple has to do with the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sins.
Also, you might want to read Ezekiel 40-48, which describes a temple whose measurements do not match any of the previous temples, as it is much bigger. Within those chapters are the details for animal sacrifices. The only time that this temple could exist is during the millennial period. Many scholars believe that this system of sacrifice will be done as a memorial.
Along with the description of the temple, which will be located in the middle, will be the land allotment for each of the twelve tribes, which is completely different from land allotments where the tribes originally settled. Each tribe will have the west side of their land from the Mediterranean, east to the Euphrates, if I am not mistaken. Their land allotments will be long rectangles, with the temple situated in the middle of the twelve tribes.
Statistically, it's one of the most unread books of the bible. I really believe that's why it's probably one of the most misunderstood books of the bible.
Those who know anything about the book of Ezekiel remember Israel coming back alive in the telling of the bones growing flesh back on them.
But, yeah, Ezekiel has lots of visions, some similar to John's visions in revelation. I understand anyone's hesitancy. I wanted to study it, just because I've never really understood it either. Just bits and pieces. But I ended up loving the study, except it's a sad read as well.
