I realize how much of an introvert I am when I'm sitting here with my family who are trying to support my father and I am just internally like "IWANNAGOHOMEIWANNAGOHOMEIWANNAGOHOMEIWANNAGOHOME" Maybe home is my safe place and I don't get it until I've been gone from it for a long time.

But. It's not about me right now.
It is so strange how we can love someone dearly and still need some time away from them; it always seems crazy to deny that recharge, but yes...sometimes necessary. I'll pray for you, totally know the feeling.

Is that what u needed an answer for? If not, u don't have to say what it was... I just hope u got your answer. :)
It is not but that's ok. This is an answer I know I'm going to have to wait for a while to get. It's not an answer God can give me quickly. It will take time to figure it out. Thanks for being so nice ZT. :)

I use my car quite a bit for my work. Each month we turn in our mileage forms with the sites we were at and the calculated mileage from point A to B to C, etc. so that we can get reimbursed.

Now, in addition to this, the finance officer wants us to fill in our odometer readings at the beginning and end of each month. Since we use our cars for our personal use as well, I see this as a violation of my privacy. I've nothing to hide, but I don't see that the miles I put on my car outside of my job is any of their business. I wonder if it's even legal of them to ask this.

Yea that's private info. It's like asking a woman's bra size. Ok, maybe not but still it's like asking how much you drive your car. Plus, odometer readings won't in any way confirm how much business miles one drove. My guess is that the finance officer is under the mistaken impression that everyone is driving company cars. Hopefully that's all it is.

Nope. We have a different system for when we use the company cars.

She seems to think that this will somehow cut down on fraud, which she suspects is going on in another department. It seems that some are just hanging out somewhere rather than going to the various sites they say they are going to when supporting their developmentally disabled individual. She is looking for claimed mileage exceeding the monthly odometer readings as an indicator. This is silly. All they would have to do is take a road trip to run up the odometer reading to hide any fraud on their part.

Well then she needs to understand the concept of an honor system. If they suspect someone is falsifying their mileage, maybe they can call the disabled individual and ask if that person was there, but that might be against the rules I guess... Honor system.

Work I don't like so much, but church I look forward to. Some things don't get boring week after week. :D

Maybe they need to get a set of company mules instead of company cars...

What is on everyone's agenda for the weekend? :)
I had my first official detailing job lined up for today but they rescheduled for a later date so I was thinking of going to this big classic car show in LA, but IDK, from the videos I've seen of it, it doesn't look that interesting to me. I might see Rogue One. :p

That does seem odd, I'd ask why they need the other info. Maybe they feel like someone is falsifying their mileage form.

We're going to see A Dogs Purpose today. I'm bringing tissues I'm sure there will be crying. Also the show on Netflix, The Crown is awesome! I finished season one, now I have to wait almost a year for season 2. Why do I do this to myself?

When the bible is standing in the way

The words get in the way

You can't blame the cat for his faith. You don't break down crying in the living room reading the bible, but he did. Things have to happen the way they do sometimes.

When you feel the need to thank someone for helping teach you something...

A Dogs Purpose is very good and I cried. I kept thinking of my dog while I watching the movie. Then I came home and gave her many pets and milk bones. She's kind of spoiled because she never complains, I'm not required to do her laundry and she always greets me with crazy abundance when I get home. She's my best buddy.
