1 Corinthians 15:1-2New International Version (NIV)

The Resurrection of Christ
15 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

Paul is saying clearly that belief can end up in vain

I may get banned for this but here I go- a 20-something year old women got baptized at my church this past sunday. part of here testimony was coming from a divorced home, and growing up not feeling worthy of her dad's love. as she got older, she began to feel the same about God. only when coming to my church and hearing about the love of God, and that she could bring her issues to him, she came to faith in Christ.

now, what if she would heard some of your junk. or Stephen, the mighty Pentecostal ( junk ) hell fire and brimstone thrower. or anyone else who says or implies that one has to be something or do something in order to make God accept them?? what would that have to her, already struggling with a un-worthiness issue. what would that have done.?? do you want answer to God about turning someone away from his Son??

words matter. people matter. your high and might self-righteous lies you tell yourself daily are less than worthless. repent and apologize to all the ones you may have turned away with your careless bragging.
Amen to a lady coming to Christ.

You have a sensitivity that is just miss-placed. Why do you run yourself down so much?
Why do you dishonour what Jesus calls you as, as a follower of the King?
Why do you load on your back bigger burdens than Christ calls you to bear?

So much confusion, so much seeing evil that is not there or even talking about what Christ
has done for us rather than where we are in Him. It can only be that you inside do not experience
what Christ came to offer you, and you feel so bad about it. I seriously suggest belief
in repentance, confession and coming before the cross and knowing Gods love overflowing
to you. When you do this, you will begin to experience the difference.

Dear Lord, Help gb9 reach out to you, and unburden his soul, and find release, healing,
purity, cleansing in himself like never before. May your Holy Spirit anoint him and let
him know how much he is accepted and loved in you, and how he can walk in your
ways. Unlock the prison bars that bind him, the memories of his youth, the hurts
from his parents, and abuse he has suffered and bring him peace, in Jesus's Name
Amen.

[SUP]39 [/SUP]But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

if one wants to look at a passage, they have to look at the whole

If can be used many ways,

if, and we will

If but we would not

If but we can not

If, maybe we will, maybe we will not.

You have to take the whole passage to determine context to see which if is being used.
I take the whole NT and all the scriptures on belief but also on all the scriptures of teaching and warning Christians.

is that 100% correct, in the parable mentions the son saying he has sinned against heaven (who's in heaven?) and against you meaning his earthly father..

Luke 15
18I will get up and go back to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”’

In saying its God character, that is still a theory and because there is no actual verses that says the father in the parable is a representation of God character. Jesus gives the parable but doesn't say it's about him or God.. in my opinion It's a parable about a man and his two sons.

"Honor your father and your mother.
That's not what I meant. It's a parable, and in all of the parables Jesus told there is a Christ character. In this one it is the father. In the parable of good samaritan, it is the samaritan. In the parable of the lost sheep it is the shepherd.

2 Peter 2:20-22New International Version (NIV)

20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 22 Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,”[a] and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.”

Belief can be in vein. Many people believe, Many even do works,, Yet jesus said on that day many will cry out, and say all these works they did, and jesus will say depart for he never knew them.

Faith is what saved, not mere believe (see James 2)

John 3:16

Last time I looked belief is actually doing something, it does not just happen out
of the blue. But maybe that explains you and why you do not understand the
gospel properly, you never actually have belief....

Like prayer is speaking to God. You have to use words to speak to God.
It is doing something. Like repentance is renoucing evil, sin and proclaiming a desire
to do good, and confession is speaking out ones repentance and faith in Christ.

But again none of these things are doing anything. I wonder which God you follow,
or which bible you read. Maybe the school of dumber and dumber has come to town.
You have no idea the depth, magnitude and sincerity of my faith in Jesus Christ. You're simply a foolish blowhard who enjoys hearing himself talk and reading his own hype in an effort to begrudge people that which is inherently ours, salvation by God's grace, made complete at Calvary. You haven't done anything to earn salvation, numbnuts, its a gift freely given to those who believe. Belief is not doing, its acknowledging. You sure do think highly of yourself -- fool.

so then I am going to hell? Why did you not answer my question? Will I go to hell because I am divorced and remarried, It does not matter the reason does it? Or am I no longer under grace but under law?
If you repent & acknowledge to God it was wrong for you to do that he will forgive you. Yes the reason matters because technically you are still married to the other person. Just because you decided to get divorced on earth doesn't mean God will automatically divorce you in his eyes.

Making an assumption that spiritual adoption negates all choice of leaving & judgment of unconfessed sin is not biblical.

It's simply not there.

One-verse wonders that don't cover the whole plan of salvation is inexecusable as proof scripture.

That's the way the cults do it.
Well, you missed the point of the parable entirely. The son was already forgiven. He never did get out his confessional speech. The father grabbed hold of him and raised him to life having already forgiven him.

So the blessings you recieve while hear on earth, all the things God promised to give to you, Your rightful inheritance..

How you treat those things will determine your eternal salvation? Can you please exxplain this to me, I do not see it or understand it.
1 Corinthians 3:10-17 testify to the foundation laid by Jesus Christ and what we build on that foundation will be judged. Those wood, stubble, and hay are works that defile the temple of God which is our bodies, and those that do not depart from iniquity will risk a physical death when they are left behind, but that foundation remains just as that seal of adoption does which is why the destruction of the corrupted flesh occurs, but to the saving of the soul.

Here is Paul talking about the purpose for when a church excommunicates an unrepentant believer.

1 Corinthians 5:[SUP]4 [/SUP]In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,[SUP]5 [/SUP]To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

That is what God will do at the pre tribulational rapture event in judging His House first ( 1 Peter 4:17-19 )

For assuredly, no church will have every believer found abiding in Him when they are not God to see how and where every believer is in their walk with the Lord to be able to minister properly in excommunicating wayward unrepentant believers in leading them to repentance to come back into fellowship... or for the destruction of the flesh so that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus when they still have not repented.

A lot of believers quote 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 but not read on to verses 16-17 for the consequences of not getting rid of that wood, stubble, and hay which defiles the temple of God as that fire is for this one purpose.

1 Corinthians 3:[SUP]15 [/SUP]If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

When does it happen? At the day of the pre trib rapture.

1 Corinthians 3:[SUP]13 [/SUP]Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

This is why God will judge His House FIRST as it will be done at the pre trib rapture event.

1 Peter 4:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?[SUP]18 [/SUP]And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?[SUP]19 [/SUP]Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

We can trust the souls of those saints left behind to Jesus Christ for He is faithful and does a well in the keeping of their souls while they suffer the coming fire and the subsequent coming of the great tribulation.

1. The bible says a child of God is a new creation, He is no longer a DOG. he is a new creature.

2. A dog returns to his vomit, why? he was not made a new creature, you can teach a dog a new trick, but he will always be a dog.

3. Many people scape.. Here the truth, and are blessed by being surrounded by the body, But never allow that truth to take hold. and return to what they are.. It will be worse for them in eternity. They had it in their grasp.

aww, I see, You have no sin, so you can cast the stone of judgment on me.. Nice to know you.

King david had many wives,, He was an adulterer 100 times over, Is he in heaven, or hell? (he never divorced any of his wives, so he died in adultry..

why do you people want to put others under law. when you are guilty of the law yourself.

If we break even th eleast of the law. we are found guilty of the whole law..

are you sinless? if not your just as guilty as I may be..

I sometimes thought, this is a bit harsh. They were just playing a social game
of appearing better than they should be. Surely God does not mind.

Imagine if God decided to do this with His promises. Well, maybe if you are this,
or say that, or maybe it is just an exaguration, you are actually all doomed.
I was just playing with you, sin is not that important, it is the risk takers I like,
the high rollers, the liars and posers, they really know how to make it rock.

But you should realise, yes, every word matters, everything He lays down, everything
is consistent, from the most important to the smallest degree. So cause offence and you die,
play games with the King and He will play a game with you, you will never live to regret it.

This is not a world of take backs, He is the King.
Israel doubted they could take the land, dishonoured the Lord and died in the desert.

He gives everyone so much warning, He is so gracious, but it comes to an end, and it
is final. But it is up to you to listen and hear. The rest is a final simple result.
Heb 8:6But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.

It's because of this better covenant with better promises God will enact more severe judgment on those that treat it with such disregard:

Heb 10: 26Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. 27There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. 28For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us. 30For we know the one who said,“I will take revenge.I will pay them back.”[SUP]h[/SUP]He also said,“The LORD will judge his own people.”[SUP]i[/SUP]31It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

We see here more of God's judgment against anyone who treat His covenant with such disregard.

Heb 6:
4For it is impossible to bring back to repentance 1) those who were once enlightened— 2) those who have experienced the good things of heaven and 3) shared in the Holy Spirit, 5who have 4) tasted the goodness of the word of God and 5) the power of the age to come6and who 6) then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.

Those that believe & teach another gospel and another Jesus have done this very thing. The Falling Away is one of God's judgments on them. Strong delusion to believe a lie and enter the tribulation.

Their false humility will not save them.

This is a very sad testimony.
Such hurt and anger, such desperation, yet all turned into revenge against the people
who loved him in the past, who he now calls enemies.

This is testimony as to why you need a pure heart to walk with Christ and know His
will or you become a victim of the enemies schemes.
People who know full well the hurt, anger and desperation that is often associated with life, only to have it all replaced with God's love and grace, are not vengeful people, but rather, they are thankful and joyful. Self righteous fools are the ones looking at others and thanking God they are not like them, but in reality, they are the ones who are lost. That would be you, the Pharisee looking down his nose at the lowly tax collector who knows he is in need of God's grace.

If discern with His help what the people of Babylon are known for; making a name for themselves which is why divided them by foreign languages, then you may discern the "daughter" of Babylon under USA's banner of "We the people.."

Mystery Babylon is another type of Babylon as some would contend that it is the RCC aka the Vatican as it sits on seven hills and is ecumenical in its world wide campaign to unite all the religions of the world into a fellowship of one mind.

Babylon USA can be described as seen in Revelation 18th chapter as being the center of trade for the world as it contends with China for "cheating" due to trade agreements.

When you look at the globe, the entire western hemisphere is one third of the earth. It is not a coincidence.

It stands to reason that the center of trade and commerce which is USA is a part of that third of the earth that gets burned up.

Granted, only the Lord can help us discern and see how those prophetic verses are being applied to a soon to be future event as you may see all the set ups aiming for it to fall into place after the pre tribulational rapture event.
the Western Hemisphere is half of the whole earth it is not 1/3. The Western Hemisphere includes half of the Southern Hemisphere along with half the northern hemisphere.

God never takes our free will, as believers he may remain in us trying to tell us right from wrong. But we also have temptation from the body and of the devil. God does not force us to continue to follow him. This is why we must run to win.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27New International Version (NIV)

The Need for Self-Discipline
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Why would Paul be worried about being disqualified? If he had already won the prize?

Jesus's sacrifice is enough for the believer. But the question for many is... Are the people that willingly sin and fall into rebellion against God was to die then are they still saved?

Once anyone has heard of Jesus and his sacrifice, they are no longer without excuse to turn and follow Jesus.
