he means what he says, the earth that THEN WAS, i.e. was known to man. Peter did not know of Australia and America either :).

actually verse 5 confirms my view. the land standing out of the water and in the water.
Sure, the earth stands out of the water and in the water. We know God divided the waters above and beneath the earth in Genesis 1.

So then the whole world was destroyed by water in the days of Noah, just like as Peter goes on to say, it will be destroyed by fire in the future. None shall escape God.

That was given much later. Cain could have married a niece, or great niece etc.

Leviticus 20:11-21English Standard Version (ESV)

[SUP]11 [/SUP]If a man lies with his father's wife, he has uncovered his father's nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. [SUP]12 [/SUP]If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have committed perversion; their blood is upon them. [SUP]13 [/SUP]If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. [SUP]14 [/SUP]If a man takes a woman and her mother also, it is depravity; he and they shall be burned with fire, that there may be no depravity among you. [SUP]15 [/SUP]If a man lies with an animal, he shall surely be put to death, and you shall kill the animal. [SUP]16 [/SUP]If a woman approaches any animal and lies with it, you shall kill the woman and the animal; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

[SUP]17 [/SUP]“If a man takes his sister, a daughter of his father or a daughter of his mother, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace, and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people. He has uncovered his sister's nakedness, and he shall bear his iniquity. [SUP]18 [/SUP]If a man lies with a woman during her menstrual period and uncovers her nakedness, he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from among their people. [SUP]19 [/SUP]You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister or of your father's sister, for that is to make naked one's relative; they shall bear their iniquity. [SUP]20 [/SUP]If a man lies with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness; they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless. [SUP]21 [/SUP]If a man takes his brother's wife, it is impurity.[SUP][a][/SUP] He has uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.
Footnotes:

so from this scripture it must be believed that god created more eves
is that not the Mosaic Law?
If so that was after the flood.
if so what was the situation before the flood?

Well if you are asking me, it seems that rule was not in effect until later. Consider, who did Adam sleep with? Was she not the flesh of his flesh and the bone of his bones?

But the bible does not record a world wide flood, only one that encompassed all mankind.
I suggest Peter....the world that WAS perished........this view reeks of ignorance!
the flood was global......EVERY LIVING THING that HAD BREATH DIED......

Actually, it does.

From the same chapter:

Genesis 7:18-24

[SUP]18 [/SUP]And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
[SUP]22 [/SUP]All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
The ark ended up on the Ararat mountain (Turkey). Not so far from where it was built, right? Wild world-wide cataclysmic event would push it much further.

According to the simple mathematics, if Cain waited to marry until he was about 200 years old, he probably had several women to choose from, providing some migrated eastward to Nod with other family members. If he waited another 200 years to build a city, he could have had at least a few thousand people to help him, again assuming some migration occurred. It is not entirely impossible that Cain had sisters from whom to take a wife even before his banishment and the birth of Seth. The text does not tell us. Reasons To Believe : Finding a Wife for Cain

na dont see it..

actuall correction cain could have yes but not able ?
Do you mean Abel? Abel was dead. See the chart I posted above this post I am quoting of yours. Cain could have had quite a large number of women from whom to choose a wife.

Who knows where it was built?

I think either way one could say God guided Noah.

I believe God told them about sin..
When do you think God told them about sin?
When do you think that God told them it was wrong that a brother should not sleep with his sister?

Your post from Leviticus is part of the Mosaic Law.
So are you saying that before the Mosaic law God told those before the law was instituted that everything within this law was sinful?

Sure, and I do reckon they knew the world better than those today. After all God made the world, he can certainly destroy it as he wills. God knows best. Men today so often do not.

i think its diffrent for half sister if there divorced.. when i say half sister i mean they dont dont share the same mum or father.. they share difrrent father and diffrent mothers.. meaning when the man and women got married they all ready had kids to defferent partners.. but when the mum and dad re married they became half sister and brother... that kind not the other..

Its obvious he told them not to eat from the tree of knowledge..

Those are not half sibling but step siblings. Half siblings share one common parent.

We all know this story of the old testiment. How God flooded the world, and the only people saved where two of each species of animals and Noah and his family.
After doing a little research, i discovered somthing disturbing.
We know of the other ancient civilizations of that time. And there have been written records kept and written during that time that the flood was supposed to happen. And none of them mentioned being drowned by water or anything regarding a flood.
By this, people conclude that the flood never happened.

Now, lol, Im not saying that I beleive this but I want to know what you all think.

Oh and please dont get too heated. The threads next door can hear ya you know :)
How can anyone pinpoint when the flood was in prehistoric history? As in how do you know Civilization A and B were around at the exact same time, and nada? Nothing about a flood?

Also, wouldn't you kind of think the histories of ancient people would have been wiped out in the flood? I'm amazed with earlier in Genesis. Who knew that history to record it? Personally? My best guess is Noah took some scrolls with him, and all other scrolls before the flood were wiped out, just as any box of Wheaties would be wiped out if we tossed it into an oceanic jet stream. The waters themselves would first wash away the ink, and then lay waste to the parchment.
