The concept of fair play escapes you to..

You cant have a dicussion without being heavy handed in the sence you have no time to look at anyones views with out doing a bit of slander or jumping on the band wagon.. when you see the chance..

So quit hounding me ok

There is no gravity on the service of the earth end of period..

The earth is rotating. Water still finds its level. If it did not, we wouldn't know what that means to reference it.
Lol no it doesnt.. it just doesmt ... maybe ponds find there level like the usa is just a small pond really compared to the size of russia..

But the oceans no way hosay they nevel find a level that is permanent..

And how are you btw hope your a bubbly as ever :)

wow, you'd better tell Paul that and Isaiah.
Actually, they, and you, already know this. Do you really think Paul contributed all that stuff from his letters? Sure, he wrote them, but was that the Paul (Saul) who grew up to be a great Pharisee, so committed to his work, he held the cloaks of his friends while they killed Stephen? Doesn't that work as a great concept of who Saul was? That was the guy he grew up to be, and he was planning on doing more, until Jesus kicked him off his ass and blinded him for a few days to give him time to truly see.

Didn't we all show what we would have contributed to the world before we were saved? And, what we would have contributed got sidelined by what God would have us do instead. We stopped being who we were when God inspired us. (Literally breathed in/spirited us.) He changed who we are, and is now working on who we will become for his glory.

I know you know this. Sometimes we get so blinded by our point, we forget God is the point. He IS our revelation, just as much as he was Isaiah and Paul's revelation.

A. The land mass was one continent
B. There was a canopy of water ABOVE the earth ( the earth was like a terrarium)
C. The fountains of the deep opened
D. The windows of heaven were opened
E. The mountains were not as high as they are today but rose when the land "EARTH" was divided into 7 continents in the days of EARTHQUAKE (PELEG)<---after the flood
F. God has set boundaries that the water cannot pass (shores) and the current rotation of the earth keeps the water at bay
G. If I remember right the water level is actually higher than it appears and if let lose would flood most of the land masses....

G<---that is if I remember right.....a 50/50 on that one.....but the rest is solid!
I would agree with all this could have happend.

But the process that made it happen is missing.

The other proccess that is missing is what makes the earth spin...and it is gravity.. Thats why the oceans will never find a permanent level.... its like getting in the bath and watching the water rise... the whole wieght of the plannet is constantly moving..

You dont notice it because the aerea is so big and it moves so slow to our eyes we just see the moon and the sun rise and set.. that seems to take a life time... but actualy we are moving quite fast but rotatating 1,040 mph.

Now i could be wrong but so far im yet to find a credible answer that suggests other wise but i am open to discussion... and not slander as ive just about throuh with wasteing my time on ignorance..:)

Its David, talking about God. For David, the waters were above. For astronauts on ISS, the waters are below.

Everything is about perspective. The Bible is written by men (even though inspired by God) and for men.

Its from the perspective of men, when it describes "down, up, whole land, below skies, all mountains under heavens, waters above, whole world" etc.
It is not from some kind of planetary orbital perspective.
IDK. Take me to a river, stream, lake or ocean, and I'm above waters too without being God. (Not to mention, the version of the Bible I used -- ESV -- said, "on," not "above.")

I'm a writer, but one of my weaknesses as a writer is to get too caught up on directional words. I like my characters to sit down, stand up, turn around, and do all sorts of directional things that are wasted space because of those directional words.

Sit down? Where else are you going to sit? On the ceiling?
Stand up? How else are you going to stand? Dig a hole to stand down?
Turn around? Is it even possible to turn without it being "around?" If it's turn straight, it makes no sense. That stops being a turn.

Likewise, "On the waters" or "above the waters?" Where else are you going to put your chambers? Under the water?

This tells me whether that preposition is "above" or "on," it means the same thing.

Read that whole Psalm, (or just the verse as a whole. I did just quote that one verse you gave, so it is united), and tell me again that David didn't have God's perspective there.

but it doesn't say which mountains or how high they were then :)
I didn't know if you or Hermit were right until I read the passage. It really does say which mountains and how high.

Genesis 7:
17 The flood continued forty days on the earth. The waters increased and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. 18 The waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the face of the waters. 19 And the waters prevailed so mightily on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered. 20 The waters prevailed above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits deep. 21 And all flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, livestock, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all mankind. 22Everything on the dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died. 23 He blotted out every living thing that was on the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens. They were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark. 24 And the waters prevailed on the earth 150 days.

It doesn't get aller than all.

So, the only water on earth is in oceans?

How do you interpret Day Two in Genesis? Because I sure see water and earth swirling around in motion, until God separated them.

(And I am many things, but not bubbly.
:) If I compare myself to Winnie the Pooh characters, I'm more Piglet than Tigger. lol)

I'm actually not sure if I agree with everything DC said, but the process was covered. His name is God.

'the rain fell upon the land for forty days and forty nights. -- the water prevailed more and more on the land so that all the high mountains under the heavens (as seen by Noah and his sons) were covered.

THIS is the text. We have then to interpret it.
And you have simply added YOUR own thoughts to this "scripture". The word doesn't say "as seen by Noah and his sons".... that is YOUR thought. Scripture actually says

[SUP]17 [/SUP]Then the flood [SUP][n][/SUP]came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted up the ark, so that it rose above the earth. [SUP]18 [/SUP]The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark [SUP][o][/SUP]floated on the [SUP][p][/SUP]surface of the water. [SUP]19 [/SUP]The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains [SUP][q][/SUP]everywhere under the heavens were covered. [SUP]20 [/SUP]The water prevailed fifteen [SUP][r][/SUP]cubits higher, and the mountains were covered. [SUP]21 [/SUP]All flesh that [SUP][s][/SUP]moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind; [SUP]22 [/SUP]of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died. [SUP]23 [/SUP]Thus He blotted out [SUP][t][/SUP]every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the [SUP][u][/SUP]sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark. [SUP]24 [/SUP]The water prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days.

Now, if you can find ANYWHERE in scripture that says it was only the land that Noah and his sons could see, PLEASE post it for all of us to read.

This is a discussion, Jimmy.... you know... back and forth. If it bothers you for someone to point out the silliness of something you are saying, just put your big girl pants on and deal with it. I'm not being mean to you, I'm simply responding to what you say.

And, the reason we have tides is not because the earth rotates... it's because the moon rotates around the earth. The gravitational pull of the moon is what causes the tides... at least that was what I was taught in middle school, IIRC.

You're free to believe whatever you want... even if it's wrong.

I've been wrong a bunch of times, but when proven wrong, I accept it and move along... it's called learning.

Look mate the moon does orbit our earth but then are you going to tell me that sun only takes 24 hours to orbit our earth too ..

You dont believe that our earth rotates that fast do you ?

Well seing as im the one with the knowledge here and claiming i know this to be true.. i will shed some light on the matter...

Seeing as i work in the satellite communication department.. I think i have credibility..

The satellites in space that obit our earth have to maintain a fixed spot on the earth.. to broadcast ther signal at the same spot 24 hours a day..

They obit the earth at the same speeds there about..(fact mate) end of period...

ummm... no... the earth orbits the sun, not the other way around. It takes about, um, 365 days to get all the way around the sun.

And, the earth is rotating the whole 365 days.... it takes about, oh, 24 hours for the earth to make a complete revolution on its axis, and after that 24 hours it has made it 1/365 of the way around the sun.

Correct and you wonder why we have sun and darkness every day... dont tell me the moon blocks out the sun ?

are you going to answer my question so i know where i stand with you..since your the one questioning all my beliefs i think its only fair..

Do you believe that are plannet rotates at at 1040 mph.. yes or no. and if no why not.

No... I don't wonder at all. I know why.

I don't know for sure how fast the earth rotates, but your statement is pretty close.

Ok since the moon has gravitational pull on our waters and our plannet rotates.. how can our waters find there level when the gravitation pull is constantly pulling water vapor into the air ?
