I have terrible insomnia. And it's gotten worse as I've gotten older. I'm going to try this stuff. Also, I guess I should quit watching Netflix at bedtime and posting on CC in the wee hours of the morning. I'll let you know how it works. Unless I'm asleep, that is. :)

I wanted to share a recommendation with you all. I personally just started using it and have found it to be fantastic for sleeplessness and anxiety. It's all natural ingredients and non addictive:

If any of you try it, be sure to let everyone know what your experience was or if you've found an alternative measure that helps with getting a good night's sleep. Cheers.

Hi Laura,

I have FM so I have had sleep issues for many, many years. But I usually was asleep by 1:00 am the latest. And then I had Grave's Disease and they radiated my
thyroid so now I'm on synthroid.

I have no idea why, but since all I went through with that, I don't sleep well at all. The doctor allowed me to get two low after radiating the thyroid.

She admitted she should have checked me sooner, because it's dangerous. Your hormones dump into your system as the thyroid dies is how it was explained to me and I guess that's the part that's dangerous.

So for about 2 months sleep escaped me. I was awake 24 hrs a day with maybe a nap or two. An hour here and an hour there and I was an emotional mess. UGH!!!

I think if I had it to do over I would pass on the radiation and would have found some other way to treat it if possible.

That was about 12 years ago and it's been a couple years now where I actually am able to sleep through the night now. What a crazy time of life that was. Can you imagine walking around as a zombie without being able to sleep. It was just so awful!!!

I still have times where I'm awake all night. I can only imagine that the thyroid must have messed up my hormones to work properly. That's the only thing I can think of, but then, what do I know. I've tried to find if others went through the same issues via radiation, but I haven't found anyone yet that had similar results. But that was doing research on the internet 12 years ago. Maybe now it's different.

So I have tried almost everything everyone has mentioned. I imagine they probably work for sleep issues not caused by the thyroid. I haven't tried the product you mentioned. I guess it would be worth a try.

What I have found that works for me is taking two benadryl at night. I awake groggy, but I'd rather do that then not be able to sleep at all. Most nights it works well, but I'd say 1 -2 nights per week I might have a night where I'm saying goodbye to my husband as he's going off to work and haven't slept a wink. But sometimes I might get an hour or 2.

But I'm really so much better off now and compared to what I was going through. I sure empathize with others that have sleep issues. I'll do some research on your product and see what I think after doing that. Thanks for starting this thread. I'm glad I saw it!!!

melatonin did not work for me, simply for my pain factors, but hubby and I have found many
other herbs and such that will curb enough to get a good enough sleep for us...

of course, we should never 'eat' a late meal, as it will just lay there and cause all kinds of problems...we drink a daily 'bomb', our pet name for our as pure, healthy, get started for the day boost drink we can make in our Vita-Mix Blender -
the KEY to this is that most of the ingredients are 'home-grown' and full of the sun's very best
healing properties, + our Biblical Herbs...

Hi oldethennew, What is your daily bomb drink? I have a vitamix blender as well and make a green smoothie every morning.

hi DR,

we have several drinks that we blend together that really help us maintain a healthy balance
and keep us from 'catching' anything - our favorites are, (from our garden), we mix our
different greens with different colored veggies, such as cucumbers, bell-peppers, tomatoes,
parsley, turnips, etc...sometimes it's just fresh tomatoes with bell-peppers, we are really hooked
on this drink and we often will throw-in a handful of spinach or lettuce, basically whatever we are
growing at the time, plus we have a friend who has a locally-grown produce market and often buy
from him when we are needing something that we aren't growing at the time...we have a small garden,
raised-beds, (back-savers) but it really produces a lot of food...we are very blessed to be able to have our
own garden and have spent many years learning the ropes of what grows best in what kind of soil,
plus we make our own 'soup', like a manure-tea, with coffee grounds and ashes, lots of
organic stuff, etc...feeding and mulching are the 'key'...thanks for asking,:):)...
